Didn't even know this place existed. Got a flyer in the mail and decided to check it out. What a cute restaurant. Very colorful and inviting. Nice that they had the entire menu selection. We started off with some flavored margs which were large and nice. Then we ordered food. Fresh and homemade, better than I expected. Ended the meal with a house marg which I think I liked better than the flavored one. All in all, a good experience. I will be back. read more

Anayas has become a comfort restaurant for many reasons. The food here is authentic, we'll seasoned, and consistently good. After having many dishes on the menu it's safe to say there's no bad choice. Sophie has been me and my partners server here and there during our visits and always looks pleased to see returning guests. Her service is spot on and always respectful, attentive, knowledgeable, and charming. She even ran out my girls purse after leaving it in our booth. On top of all that, the look of the Anayas is 'hole in the wall' meets 'art installment' meets 'abuelas house'. Exposed brick, hand painted booths, neon bar signs, and an urban garden growing out front all contribute to the welcoming nature of Anayas. 5/5 stars. read more

I actually wrote them a 5 star review several months ago and we have been coming weekly ever since. Last week, we noticed a small change in the food quality. We commented that we didn't see the manager, Joey around so perhaps he was on vacation and the staff is slipping while he's away. We went back tonight thinking last week was a fluke. The service wasn't good again. I ordered chicken fajitas that I get 50% of the time. It was disgusting and the meat was dark meat and the menu says chicken breasts. It was so fatty and grisly. We asked a server we know where the manager was and she said he is no longer there, he's opening another restaurant in another city. She commented that they are running it now and don't need him. It's amazing to me that it only took one week of him being gone for the restaurant to tank. It is so sad! read more

We have driven by this location so many times as we just live up the street. As soon as we walked in we liked the decor. We were greeted right away and brought to our table. The staff was so nice. They brought us chips and salsa and the salsa was good. We enjoyed our food and at the end we informed them that we had never been there before and we were new to the area. He asked if we like margaritas and we said yes, he brought us a sample of a blended one and one over the rocks and they both were so good. He did say they're well-known for the margaritas the way they make them and we can see why. he then asked us if we've ever had the flan, and we said no being our first time in we never have so he brought us out one as a way to say thank you for coming in, and it was so good. Very good salsa. 2 item combo shredded beef taco and bean burrito was perfect for my 10 year old. The burrito had a light enchilada/red sauce. Nice and light not too spicy or smokey. We've had chimichangas, burritos, and dessert everything has been very tasty. It's not our favorite salsa but that's easy to forgive since it's good just not great. This restaurant was an absolutely lovely find! We walked in and instantly were greeted by a friendly host. We saw that there was a musical Trio setting up. We were seated and offered chips and salsa. Hot fresh chips and yummy salsa. We were even given bean dip. Our waitress, a (super sweet and attentive girl) came over and took our drink order and advised that they had fresh tamales. They have a great menu. I ordered a steak and mole enchilada combo. My husband had a smothered shrimp plate. We shared a tamale. They were both on point. The mole was really good and served properly down to the sesame seeds. The skirt steak was good. My husband's smothered shrimp was well seasoned and not overcooked. I was pleasantly surprised. Now for the absolute best part. The music.. to be honest I kinda hate live music at restaurants. It is usually too loud, terrible or both. This Trio was EXCELLENT!!! They were playing old boleros. Like my Grandparent's music :) definitely the good stuff. We haven't lived here too long and didn't expect what we got. This place is absolutely in the rotation. Had lunch here with a friend. I had the chicken mole. The mole sauce was good, but not very spicy, but the chicken was overcooked and it wasn't even a full breast. Not worth the $17.25 for a lunch item. Friend had the taco salad. It arrived on a plate that was swimming in some brown liquid. She asked for some napkins and picked up the entire salad and blotted the plate. The interior is quite colorful, which was a plus. Doubt if I will return. read more

She liked it. I ordered beef enchiladas rice and beans. I got the food and the enchiladas were chicken. I ate them without saying anything since I was really hungry and did not eat since midmorning. Had lunch there today spent $10 on a taco salad. It had four pieces of roast beef in it and that is all. The rest was shredded lettuce tomatoes and maybe a teaspoon or two of sour cream no guacamole it was really really bad. The flower tortilla basket was stale. Wouldn't eat there again would not. I like to go to local businesses not necessarily chains but the cost was ridiculously high and the food was not that good but that's not the worst part.
