Stopped by this gem early Saturday morning. I was looking for not just an ordinary breakfast burrito. I was looking for that NM green chili! I got the chorizo burrito with medium green chili. Omg. Amazing and hit the spot. The burrito is stuffed with chorizo, pinto beans, potato's, and chili. Everything inside worked perfectly. The only thing I wished it had was more chorizo. The owners want you to enjoy it and not leave hungry, so if you're not loving it, or if your order was somehow wrong, let them know and they will sort it out. This is a mom & pop small business, so they really want to make their customers and the community happy! I've never walked away hungry or dissatisfied. LOVE LOVE LOVE the fresh, from-scratch food and the laid-back vibe of the place, and the owners and staff are the sweetest and most helpful. They started out as just a food truck (which I think they still have for events & whatnot), so anytime we would see them at area events, we immediately got in line for their food. Now we're very glad to see they have a brick & mortar restaurant - we always know where to go for that green chile goodness. They sell bottles of their homemade sauce, too, and we keep it stocked in our fridge. Favorite dish or dishes? Was great to try something new so close to home. Met the owner and he was super kind and passionate. The ambiance is quaint and cozy and open for hanging out with friends. I came a couple times to try out different foods. I'm vegetarian now so was easy to navigate. Green chile homemade salsa was nice and tangy, loved the eggs, potatoes and cheese tacos not corn and flour and the burros. With the welcoming vibes I'll be back over and over again! Never been to the brick and mortar but visited food truck in the past. Pleasantly surprised to have the owner at the counter. So fun to talk with him. Food was fantastic and heat was appropriate. I rarely eat burgers but was craving one, so I stopped in and ordered a double patty green chili burger which came with rice and beans ( there are other options for sides). The burger was no less than delectable. Toasted buns, a perfect light white cheese, tomatoes, green chili. Simple and perfect. Plenty of food but not overwhelming. Beans and rice understated but excellent when green chili hot sauce added. All for $15, about as good as it gets. I daresay it was the best burger I've had in many years. They were at the Amadio Ranch Heritage Farm today and I'm so glad they were! I grabbed a bag of their roasted Hot Hatch Chiles and they were delicious! For the most part they were pre-peeled so I could eat them straight away. When I went home, I made sandwiches with them using biscuits, and cheese.
