    HOP CHOWDA

First time visitor last night. Great space. Great service and beer knowledge. Great beer. I really enjoyed the Hop Chowda. The standout star was their jalapeño popcorn. If I had more time, and a personal driver, I'd spend an afternoon here filling up on that popcorn and washing it down with their fine beer!

We love Goldwater especially when you can get it so much closer and by far probably my new found favorite location because of the convenience. We loved how spacious the building was especially since we have kids. Mind you there is no where in the laws of Arizona does it say children are not allowed in a brewery. That was the only annoyance that we had that there was a couple sitting in front of us that kept giving us dirty looks because our son likes to roam free. If you w don't enjoy kids in a brewery you should move to Vegas people. So Goldwater gets more brownie points with us when they are okay with our son being completely himself. I think we have only been to one other brewery in Arizona that didn't like him being adventurous(Beer research off of stapley/baseline). I loved the gose they had on tap. Was so refreshing and perfect for summer.

I stopped in on a Saturday early afternoon. The bartender suggested that I try the Winnie the Brew. He gave me a taste and I went for it. I'm glad to say, I have made the leap from only sours. The honey kolsch was soo good. I can't wait to visit again soon.

Nice place. Friendly people. Lots of taps. Beer only. If you like breweries, come here. If you like cocktails, you might pick someplace else. Although they do have cider ... and some sort of margarita cocktail. Not sure.

This location of Goldwater is about 3 times the size or more of the original location in Scottsdale. They need all that room because the place is very popular. They are dog friendly, so don't be surprised to see a slew of cute doggos relaxing in the taproom. They have a ton of beer options for every palate so just order a flight already! I wish they added food to this location, but you can't have it all I guess.

So come on into Goldwater Brewing Taproom and if you made food or you bought food from elsewhere, bring that too! No food served here only great tasting tap beer. Great selection enjoy a flight and sample four beers 4 ounces each for $17. And then have one pint of your favorite. Atmosphere great And a nice bar with seating. Can't beat it.

Great atmosphere with simple visually appealing decor. It's pretty lively even when you'd think it would be slow. They have a great selection of homegrown ales to choose from. Predictably these days they are IPA heavy but at least they are interesting. I lean towards heavier slow sipping ales and the barrel aged Lagoon Lurker fills that need nicely. The most surprising was the Winnie the Brew Honey Kolsch which is buzzing with body and tasteful sweetness. The Hop Chowda Hazy IPA is citrusy and tart and pleasant on a warm early Arizona summer day. There is a cooler with to go cans and some unique apparel to show the police that you've been drinking at one of the better establishments in South Tempe. If the Beer Hunter were alive today he'd probably feel at home at Goldwater Brewing.

    Nice taproom.

Nice to walk into a place when the staff recognizes customers and calls them by their first names. Small town feel. Good beer.

Great beer selection and quality beer, dog friendly indoor and outdoor, which was great because we had our dachshund with us. Great service and laid back atmosphere. Definitely a good vibe!

Stinger was refreshing on a Sunday afternoon. Great selection on tap but no food served so if hungry bring your snacks with you

We did the flights of beer and they were all delicious! Service was incredible! Would love to go back

The inside has many seats with comfy couches as well. The beer is top notch for multiple palate attractions. Food options are all around, while you're able to indulge in some food trucks, bring in your own, or free popcorn in the corner that has so many spices to choose from to top add. My fave is the Ole Bay. Cans to go are available as well. To top off this amazing experience, the service is suuuuper friendly! Always looking to come back even if I live right down the road!!

The L-shaped bar seats 15 people and there are six high tops that seat six people, three picnic tables outside for eight people each, and a long couch inside for four people to chill. My beertender was very friendly and accomodating. He gave my dog Hansel a bowl of water and a biscuit. This is a very dogfriendly taproom. Both beers I had were very tasty. My first pint was a Hefeweizen. It had a slight waxy mouthfeel. My second pint was an oatmeal stout. At 7.3% ABV it was a tad strong, but it went down very smoothly. I snacked on some free popcorn but it was seasoned with a strong spice. Thankfully I could help myself to the water fountain. I enjoyed the ambiance and will be back.
