Visited here with my mom & im so glad we stumbled upon this spot! They had a food truck outside & service was quick. Tons of seating inside and outside. Dog friendly as well I've been into breweries for a while now and was shocked to know my mom started to recently enjoy IPA's as well. Wish I had found this place earlier but better late than never! I came in here recently and the place is really spacious and open. The weather was super nice and the garage door open and the place was just airy, light and inviting. I had the only Kolsch beer available and bartender was really nice and gave me a taste of it. It worked for me as everything else was either IPAs, or sour, or something with more IBUs. The beer was nice and I chose to sit outside and soaked in the last rays of sun for the day and daydreamed a bit. Sunsets are my favorite and when I can also daydream also, its the best combo in life! Really nice brewery and would love to return again! We enjoy our local Goldwater brewery! It's a great place to hang out. I've seen people have parties here. There is no food here, but there will be a food truck or you can bring in food. If there's no food truck, they will have the popcorn machine going which is so good! I'm not sure what they do, but there's like jalapeños in it! They have a beer for everyone here, and I've enjoyed each beer I've had. Dogs are allowed too and there's also a fridge with local beers and wine. It's just a great place to hang out! The beer was great, the tenders were knowledgeable and helpful with choices. We were from out of town and chose to get 2 flights, it would be hard to pick a favorite as they were all very good and all varying styles. The interior was very inviting and the patio was great too. We didn't have the food but the food truck had great looking food from what we observed from other customers. Definitely a must return to for beer and food. read more

Hop Chowda used to be one of the best hazys around, but recent batches have taken a bitter turn--sharper and less juicy than the tropical pillowy dream it once was. Likely hop crop shifts or subtle process tweaks amped up the bite. Oh well, time to move back to fresher Phoenix hazys like Wren House Spellbinder. read more

We love Goldwater especially when you can get it so much closer and by far probably my new found favorite location because of the convenience. We loved how spacious the building was especially since we have kids. Mind you there is no where in the laws of Arizona does it say children are not allowed in a brewery. That was the only annoyance that we had that there was a couple sitting in front of us that kept giving us dirty looks because our son likes to roam free. If you w don't enjoy kids in a brewery you should move to Vegas people. So Goldwater gets more brownie points with us when they are okay with our son being completely himself. I think we have only been to one other brewery in Arizona that didn't like him being adventurous(Beer research off of stapley/baseline). I loved the gose they had on tap. Great atmosphere with simple visually appealing decor. It's pretty lively even when you'd think it would be slow. They have a great selection of homegrown ales to choose from. Predictably these days they are IPA heavy but at least they are interesting. I lean towards heavier slow sipping ales and the barrel aged Lagoon Lurker fills that need nicely. The most surprising was the Winnie the Brew Honey Kolsch which is buzzing with body and tasteful sweetness. The Hop Chowda Hazy IPA is citrusy and tart and pleasant on a warm early Arizona summer day. There is a cooler with to go cans and some unique apparel to show the police that you've been drinking at one of the better establishments in South Tempe. If the Beer Hunter were alive today he'd probably feel at home at Goldwater Brewing. read more

I visited the taproom on Ray Rd and Priest in Tempe. The drink selections are great. The bartenders are very friendly and helpful. They are very knowledgeable about the products. The atmosphere is clean and open with a nice patio. No food offerings however. read more

Recently I tried this place for the first time since a coworker suggested and had been there a couple weeks prior. My Disney nerd self was stoked to see a Blue Milk stout as I love stouts and Disney! It was really tasty, and enjoyed a couple others that night as well. Can't go wrong with a gose and the Paloma's was also really good! They only had one server on a Wednesday, but he did an excellent job. Definitely be back for a brew and low key way to wind down a day after work or on a weekend. read more

Great beers and selection that rotates frequently with each season. The service is solid and the modern environment is fun!

New place- give it a try. Their is no food but you are welcome to bring your own, we normally but smoothies for our kids next door at Blackrock Coffee and come over here. They are kid friendly here, very nice staff. They have good music and good stuff on tv to watch. Oh and I highly recommend taking beer home. The DAD JOKES cans have jokes all over the can. Haha we had a good laugh reading them and enjoying our beers at home. Good selection of beers here, I enjoy the cherry cider here too. Give it a shot. Highly recommend. read more
