Be Careful-Unfare Trade Practice-Rude Attitude: Actually, it's not all about the food. Please read this patiently; it's a very important review. They have a market next to the restaurant. We were buying olive oil from that market; they have three options in different qualities: $20, $25, and $30 for 1 liter (100cl). I am adding a photo of the bottles, so please refer to that as well. They're advertising, "Bring your bottle for a refill." We had two 100cl bottles, and when one was finished, we refilled it using the other one. Today, when we brought our 100cl bottle for refilling, they wanted it back to give us a new bottle (we thought it was kind). However, the lady opened the bottle filled and packed by herself; we paid $30 for 1 liter (100cl)--that is also in the photos. When we came home and put the new bottle next to the old one, we noticed that the new one is narrower, smaller, and has a lower volume. When we checked the volume, it was 92cl--8cl means 80ml lower than the previous bottle. In another way of saying it, they are selling 92cl of olive oil for $30; actually, the liter's new price is $32.60. In other words, they are committing fraud regarding the amount they sell. This is an obvious "Unfair Trade Practice." More importantly, when we went back to discuss this with both bottles, the receipt says $30 for 1 liter. The manager confronted my wife and shouted, treating us as if we were the ones who were wrong. When we showed both bottles and the different volumes being sold for the same price, he couldn't say anything more and tried to offer a replacement instead of refilling our bottle. He thought we did not understand Italian and used slang terms. He said Americans wouldn't understand this, questioning why we were being so sensitive, and rudely asked if we were French. They offered a 17ml replacement in a plastic sauce cup and tried to send us back. Everything is documented in photos. Please refer to that. Long story short, they changed the bottles from 100cl/71mm diameter to 92cl/58mm diameter, but they are still selling them at the same price: $30 for 1 liter. Our first time to this restaurant and it will be my last we arrived and the hostess asked me and my husband if we had a reservation we said no so they gave us a choice to sit on the bar or sit on a high table in the bar area so I picked the high table my husband doesn't drink so we have never sat on the bar we ordered our meal and just a few minutes this nasty guy comes and literally kicked us off the table saying that that table was reserved I was in shock I have never been treated like that in any restaurant from what I understand the guy is the owner son his friends showed up and sat at the table where he kicked us from. I don't recommend this restaurant I took my food home I was so upset that I just wanted to get out of that place I have never felt so unwelcome. This place does not look like much when you walk in but wow. It is so cool inside especially if you get the main table by the wine cooler. It was such a neat experience I forgot to take a picture of everything! The pastas were absolutely incredible. The spicy pasta was my personal fave. I also love that you can select a bottle of wine from almost anywhere and open it right then and there to have with your meal. Such a unique experience and great place for friends or even date night. Visited this restaurant for the first time last night. What a wonderful experience the service was wonderful. We started off with the beef carpaccio and Neptune salad. The Neptune salad could've used a little bit more time marinating but the flavors were so fresh. We have always loved this restaurant, but we went yesterday for lunch and were completely disappointed. We went to celebrate my mother in laws heavenly birthday, so we were looking for a relaxing lunch. For starters I pointed at a bottled wine on the menu that was priced at $50 and the server brought us the wine we order, but different vintage priced at $90. Our party of four enjoyed our experience. We had reservations, which you can make online through Open Table, and we were seated right away. Service was excellent. The shrimp cocktail was fresh with colossal size shrimp. Beef carpaccio was very good too. Very thinly sliced beef with arugula and large shavings of Parmesan cheese. So, after many many years of coming here with my family and "usually" having a decent meal, I would now never ever come back, even if I was comped a meal and drinks for the rest of my life! I walked in to meet some friends and wife to sit at the bar for a meal. I asked the hostess if they could put the Panthers / Bruins game on during the playoffs. She went to the back and came to tell me that they told her NO they wouldn't put it on. I asked her why and she didn't know. I asked her to let me speak with the manager and as he walked by ignoring us she pointed him out. I signaled him over and asked him to put the game on and he replied immediately that he refused because they are not a Sports Bar. So why do they have a huge TV over the bar? I told them we just wanted to eat and watch the game then leave to another bar after we ate. He actually told me that if people watch the game they won't leave the bar and he doesn't want that. WOW great business plan. So I left to meet my wife at a place that wouldn't discriminate! My friend met me later and told me that as soon as I left he put the game on and laughed. He stopped at nearby tables but would only come to ours if called for. We were sitting in the front corner and maybe he could not see us... So we decided to get some dinner with some family members last night who were in the mood for Italian and after some discussion we decided to check out Anacapri located in Pinecrest as we had not been there in awhile and our cousin had never been, so we headed on over. For those of you who are not in the know, Anacapri has been around for quite some time here in Miami at multiple locations and honestly serving up pretty good quality Italian food for many years; however, I am not sure why I think the overall value is not the same as I remember. Don't get me wrong as their food is good and they have a loyal following but I believe the portions are smaller than I remember. For appetizers we ordered the Lentil And Pasta Fagioli soups which were very tasty. For our main courses we ordered the Veal Cacciatore, Veal Saltimboca, Beef Ravioli and their Porcini Mushroom Risotto which were also all very good; however, (as I mentioned before) the portions seemed a little small to me as my nephew pretty much inhaled his food and I was left feeling like I needed a little more. Never felt that way before that I can remember but hey maybe it's just me. For dessert and coffee we ordered the Gelato Ice Cream, the Tiramisu and some Cappuccino's all of which were also very good. Our server also did a wonderful job taking care of us as well. The kitchen did mixup the timing of our order on a few items but they came out to explain and apologized for the delay. To be fair, the restaurant was full and you know life happens. Patience is a real virtue so they say... Parking should not be a problem either as they are located in a shopping mall that has plenty of it. One pretty cool thing I do want to mention is that Anacapri has an Italian market at the same location so if you arrive early you can check that out and then sit down to enjoy your dinner. Overall experience at this restaurant was "OK" i would not come here again since personally the food wasn't as tasty as it could be. For starters the quantity of ravioli was a joke i was expecting them at least to be filled with more lobster since they only came with 5 pieces. i also had bits of lobster shell inside the ravioli that caught me by surprise. The house salad wasn't to my liking it wasn't terrible but if it weren't included in the meal i wouldn't have ordered it. To finish off the food the tiramisu was very underwhelming the taste of the whip cream on top was just bland, the sponge at the bottom had barely any taste. The service i can't say was bad we immediately got seated and we're offered refreshments & bread, but the overall ambiance of the restaurant feels very outdated and small; seems like once it's more packed it could feel very packed and loud. The restaurant itself is in a good location in Pinecrest. We visited today for a lunch the service was speedy and our server was kind and very attentive even offering to put the dessert in the to go container for us. When we arrived there was no other table in the area we were but later a couple tables arrived the ambiance was chatty just hearing people talk. We had the lobster ravioli as well as the tortellini bolognese which both come with a salad. The salad was just lettuce with olive oil and vinegar dressing nothing special and we didn't really like it too much just because it was plain. As for the meals the tortellini were a bit too al dente making them be on the tougher side. The sauce it was cooked in was drowning the food and it was just too greasy it had a good taste to it though just wish it had less oil. Overall it was an okay plate the cheese didn't have that cheese taste. As for the ravioli that sauce was better and the ravioli were cooked a little too soft. The lobster in the ravioli was good and it was real since it had actual pieces of shell in it which was not enjoyable to remove. As for tiramisu we each took a couple bites but it was not good. The cream was pretty tasteless having a sort of whipped cream taste to it the bottom layers didn't have that coffee taste to them. It just looked nice but the taste was not there.
