Veal Parmigiana

Market/restaurant with benefit of purchasing bottle of wine to enjoy while eating at close to retail price and you can even take home if leftover. Restaurant does have nights with live music being played for your enjoyment. Our waiter was great and attentive. Did find it odd that that for shrimp order they would charge $6 each shrimp instead of just having a set amount for processing add on to your dish so we switched our option to Veal Parmesan which was very tasty along with a side of pasta which was al dente but did lack flavor. Their bread rolls were delicious as well as their eggplant appetizer. For dessert we had the Bomba which was not bad but wouldn't order it again. Place is great to enjoy your favorite wines at a decent price level, but do think food could be a bit better.

From the moment you enter, it feels authentic. There is a wine bar on one side, and a dining room on the other. You can choose any bottle of wine you see as you walk around for the table or order by the glass. Everything I ate was amazing. The meatballs are a must. The eggplant was my favorite. If you like spicy, the penne in pink sauce is perfect!

The food was five stars. The restaurant is decorated nicely. The service is TERRIBLE. From the promised hot bread coming after the salads and appetizers. And only because we asked for it again. The main meals didn't come for another 30 mins. The salad plates were never cleared to make room for the mains. The water glasses were empty most of the meal. Until we asked 3-4 times. No bus boy to be seen ever. The waiter never coming to check on us unless I waved him down. 3-4 different times. Lucky the food is good. If not. I'd NEVER go back.

Good Italian food close to home. We tried to eat here last Friday but we didn't have a reservation and it was an hour wait so we went to a different Italian restaurant. Today we shared the stuffed mushroom appetizer, I had the chicken parmigiana with penne pasta and my husband had the tortellini with meat sauce. Both were good but I wouldn't say they were outstanding. They are always packed so make a reservation if you want to eat here. Service could have been better.

Wonderful Italian food and great wine! This place has a very nice ambience, with some live music, and great service as well. The food was delicious! The entrees came with a lot of food (shareable) and the there were many options to choose from. I ordered the Bucatini Carbonara, and it was OUTSTANDING! The pasta overall was so tasty, creamy, and cooked perfectly. I recommend making a reservation because this place gets packed. I will definitely come back again!

Omg everything here is good It's intimate and located in a plaza. Perfect for a date or family night. Order everything that looks appealing because I'm sure it's fabulous. Service was excellent and all of our meals were delish. We started off with the complimentary bread rolls which were nice and warm. We shared a cesar salad that was refreshing. Then each meal came out that we already knew the portion was good enough to save some for the next day. I had a pasta with shrimp in a spicy red sauce that was absolutely divine. Dad had a fish with veggie in a white wine sauce that was so tasty and my mom had the eggplant parmesan. It was ridiculous the food. We enjoyed every over stuffed bite. And of course we had to end the evening with the perfect cannoli.

This could have been an easy 5 star, but the son's owner could have had more manners treating customers. Every thing else was amazing!

Tucked away in the lobby of the Mutiny Hotel in Coconut Grove - THE Mutiny Hotel of "Hotel Scarface" book & Spotify playlist name & at least part of the inspiration for The Babylon - is a quiet, romantic poolside restaurant with a pretty good fusion menu and smooth cocktails. When we pulled in, my date & I were pretty much the only people there and we decided to enjoy the breeze on the pool deck in a cozy corner couch. My rum old fashioned was strong yet smooth, perfect for a Friday night. While she enjoyed some of their seafood dishes, I started with their Tostones cup appetizer. A green plantain surrounding fresh pico de gallo and beef chunks, it was tasty without being too heavy. The pico gave the beef a nice hint of tartness. I had been craving pizza, and their Table 14 pizza with its perfectly salty prosciutto, decent spread of marinara and slices of cheese hit the spot. Our key lime pie had a nice tartness and was a nice closing. Our waiter / bartender was great, getting our orders first to the cozy corner and then to a table. Service was pleasant without being overbearing. Oh, and yes they sell Scarface memorabilia in the hotel front desk!

The fries were crunchy and crispy, very nice. The burger was massive and cooked perfectly to medium as asked. However there was far too much BBQ sauce for our taste, which ruined it somewhat. We also had the crispy pork sandwich with a side salad with blue cheese on the side. I enjoyed the too half of the salad but then was disappointed that they had decided to slather it with balsamic which was too salty n over powering and not what I asked for..hence the side order of blue cheese dressing. The idea is that you can then decide how much you put in, so this option could not be used. The crispy park sandwich was to die for and the star of the show! Crispy tasty crunch chicarrone pork pieces with slices of sweet potatoes on an aoili sauce ..wow. Also they don't mind you using their pool and outside area if you eat there..I asked beforehand, so it's an added bonus and why I would come back.

It was a Wednesday so luckily they had $1 off everything on their menu. I still remember when it was $1 for each sandwich on Wednesdays! The food was ready fast and you pick it up from the counter when they call your name. We ate there and it was as good as I remembered it. Not out of this world sandwiches but good, nonetheless. We tried many different tacos; the duck birria with broth, chicken tinga, mojo pork carnitas, pork belly (my friend's favorite), sesame ribeye, seared chorizo, mushroom taco (very good), baja fish (lightly breaded and fried fish), bibb lettuce wrap, yucatan shrimp, and the ahi tuna tatako. The vibe here is noticeably different from the Aventura location -- much more of a club atmosphere with a live DJ, which honestly adds a lot of energy to the night. If that's your scene, you'll love it. Food-wise, mostly excellent. The margaritas were great, the plantains are always a hit, and the tres leches was solid -- loved the coconut flavor, just couldn't finish it after everything else. The pork belly tacos are my usual favorite, but this visit they missed the mark slightly -- the pork portion was too big for the taco and the shell had already fallen apart before I could even pick it up. More of an execution issue than a flavor one, because the ingredients were still great. Everything else was on point. Still one of my favorite spots -- just hope they dial in the taco construction next time.
