My hot lady and I had a rare (parents with kids in school can relate) day date and I just had an absolutely incredible experience at Just Salad in Pembroke Pines, and I can't recommend it enough for anyone craving healthy, delicious vegan food! The star of the show was undoubtedly "D" Delaine, who was fabulous in every way. From the moment we walked in, D's warm energy and expertise made us feel so welcome and guided us perfectly in crafting the best kale and arugula salad I've ever tasted. The greens were fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced with a variety of colorful veggies and a light, flavorful dressing that D recommended--pure perfection! We couldn't resist trying more, so "D" Delaine was fabulous again in helping us customize a vegan protein-packed wrap that was out of this world. The wrap was bursting with wholesome ingredients, and D's suggestions for the perfect combination of plant-based proteins and sauces elevated it to a whole new level. I'm still dreaming about how satisfying and flavorful it was! We were so impressed that we went back for a third treat--a peanut butter smoothie that was nothing short of divine. It was creamy, delicious, and just the right amount of sweet, making it the perfect way to cap off our visit. "D" Delaine was fabulous yet again, ensuring every detail was spot-on and making our entire experience unforgettable. Salad alone- no drink, no cookie - $16.50. Goodness, no. Had I added a drink or cookie I would have been at over $20. There was no line upon arrival so i was able to place my order which included the crispy chicken poblano salad with the side smoothie. Who said taking care of your health and eating nutritious food is expensive? I never have anything bad to say about Just Salad. If i do, they're minor like: bring the olives back, don't close too early, stuff like that. Maybe protein portions can be increased but overall, perfection. I love the idea of environmental sustainability using paper cups, offering reusable plates for purchase. The food itself is absolutely delicious and very healthy. They have plenty of topping options and bases. I switch it up every now and then but my favorite thing is getting the most colorful chopped salad with a side of bread and the cucumber drink. (with an occasional jalapeno chips and chocolate chip cookie). The staff is nice and i'm so glad they're opening in different locations. I could've sworn i saw one in NY too! Definitely had to stop by. Sometimes i take my food to go and sometimes i have it there. The eating area is spacious and there are plenty of tables and the music isn't obnoxious. I've been here a couple of times and each time I walk in, I feel as though "The door may have been open, but everything about the place, from the stiff greetings to the echo of empty tables--quietly whispered, 'You're not welcome here.'" I also added a side of pico de gallo and honestly it brought all the flavors together; which was an additional cost. I love salad and have been wanting to try this place but most locations are really far from my house. So I was happy when I saw one was in Pinecrest, which is so much closer to me than Aventura. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Poblano salad but I switched the Poblano Ranch to the Green Goddess dressing instead. Let me tell you this is my new obsession. This salad is so refreshing and delicious. They put a perfect amount of dressing in it. I recommend this salad to everyone !! Put some of the lime in it... chefs kiss. So good. The portion is perfect I would say. I like how they're all about sustainability. Everything is like out of recycled materials and the place itself is cute. First time visiting Just Salad in Pinecrest and I wasn't super thrilled with my experience. The food was okay; not sure if it was the fake tasting air fried chicken that was supposed to be "crispy" in the salad that I ordered or if it was the overly watered-down lettuce that was used, but the salad itself was lacking flavor altogether. I definitely will never order the crispy chicken here again. It was on par with the Tyson frozen chicken Pattie's one would get at the grocery store. Not fresh tasting at all. Environment wise, it's a basic salad spot, much like any other - except the flavors just aren't there when you think about a really fresh, crisp, delicious salad. The service was alright. The couple in front of me was having a really ugly back and forth with the woman who was preparing their salads, just ahead of me. This made the ambiance in the restaurant really uncomfortable for everyone who witnessed the loud, unprofessional exchange. The man was basically asking about the toppings and ingredients and the woman was essentially telling him to read instead of having to explain everything to him. She was being really difficult and rude and just didn't seem like she wanted to provide him with a genuinely good experience. They then proceeded to serve me with a reluctant, annoyed attitude. If I'm spending almost $17 on a meal, I don't want to feel like an inconvenience. It was my 1st time so I asked a couple of questions, but stopped knowing I was annoying the worker. I've worked for years in food service and in the industry in general. I know the days can be long & hard and by the end of the day, it can be tiring. I have to say, this salad place beats all other ones (perhaps even Sweetgreen). Every single ingredient is super fresh, and they don't skimp out on the AVOCADOS (or dressing--they ask you how much [light, medium, etc.], and the workers do a good job of tossing the salad). I ordered the vegan chicken salad and the Beyond meat was delicious (it's exciting to learn they have a vegan chicken option and vegan feta on the menu too!). Though at first, I was honestly a bit skeptical because it didn't look like anything special, I was really happy with the overall quality and portion size (a perfect amount). I am also super happy that they make the effort to be environmentally-friendly by incentivizing people to buy the reusable bowls . Even the person at the front who first helped me was super nice. Different salad, bow and wrap options and not only does everything look good but it tastes great too. Through today they had all meals for $5; what a bargain. My husband opted for the spicy chicken wrap and I for the warm chicken and goat cheese bowl, excellent choice! if you purchase a blue bowl which I did you get a free topping and if you come back between the dates of the 21st and the 28th with your bowl, you get all your meal for five dollars.
