I came here for the first time today, and the last time. I got a sweet potato stacker with chicken and I can't tell you how much fat my chicken had. I got one or two pieces with a little bit of fat and I was like okay, no big deal but then I got another piece that was completely all fat. Disgusting!! The food here really fell off. This place used to be my go to for bowls but now the food is cold,dry, and cheaply made. I used to live the green spinach rice that looked so vibrant but now it's just rice with chipped up spinach around. Also use to get mash potatoes and mash sweet potatoes but they replaced it with dry unappealing sliced potatoes and sweet potatoes. There chicken also use to stand out but now it tastes like stale old chicken that's been sitting around forever. My advice is to go back 2-3 years back to how you prepared the food otherwise I'm going to chipotle and or anywhere else when I want a rice bowl now. read more

This was my first time ordering food from Smoothie Spot, and the acai bowl was fantastic. I ordered acai with bananas, strawberries, almond butter, blueberries, granola, and honey. I went right after the gym at around 7 pm. I hope during the day the food looks more presentable. Maybe it was late--I'm not sure when they close--but the meat options looked overcooked and dried out. Perhaps sticking to smoothies and bowls is the best choice because my bowl was AMAZING! When we entered, the employees were engrossed in conversation and didn't greet us, which I consider basic customer service. However, they weren't rude; they were just caught up in their discussion. They did greet us when we were ready to order, though. We were the only customers in the restaurant. Anyway, the employee redeemed herself by suggesting options for my bowl. But when she handed me my food, again, basic customer service like saying "Have a great day" or "Thank you" was missing--just a handoff and walk away. I'm not sure if this is a Miami thing, but it seems common here. There's a lot of potential here, but I'll reiterate that my bowl was good--how could you mess that up? Unless the fruits were rotten or brown, which they weren't. The restaurant had seating available for dining in, and they offered cafeteria-style service. Additionally, they included tofu among their food options. I visited this spot a couple of days later because the bowls are devine, and I went around 12 pm . The food looked fresh, and ohhh, I was greeted by an employee as I walked in! One more star, ppl! Oh, and the acai bowl did not disappoint. Great local spot in Cutler Bay to get a smoothie or açaí bowl. They offer breakfast and lunch options if you prefer an actual meal instead of a smoothie. I am a huge fan of their açaí bowls because you can really personalize the base as well as the toppings. The smoothies are really flavorful but not sweet which I love. Great fresh food and awesome service. Mask and Social distancing required at this cafe. They serve up some of the best creative menu item I've seen at a smoothie cafe in awhile. They are also VEGAN friendly with about 60% of their menu vegan or plant based. The atmosphere would be described as 'quaint' and 'quiet' with a very modern appeal to health and nutrition. You can order anything from wraps to smoothies at this authentic location. I would like to mention that all the staff were very professional and attentive and wore PPE while attending to customers. You can't call to speak to anyone. The phone immediately picks up and the automated message started there is no mailbox and it hangs up on you. Their order menu online charges two different prices for the same thing and the toppings choices are inconsistent. Which is why I tried calling to clarify. Was in the area for a project and wanted to have something light and refreshing so instantly thought of an açaí bowl and was not disappointed with my choice. Smoothie spot was quick and delicious. I had an açaí bowl topped with fruit, granola and some added peanut butter. As a peanut butter lover I was glad to see it was quite a large scoop that goes perfectly with the fruity flavors and makes it a lot more filling. I've been to this establishment twice, I had to go a second time to be sure. I've ordered smoothies from here both times, both times the smoothies didn't come with what I asked for and were very rich and sugary. I don't believe the quality is what they make it seem to be. I was expecting a fresh healthy smoothie and what I received tasted like a pre-made powder from a bag. The female workers are on their phones most of the time while making my items which is extremely unsanitary. I would prefer a place like Robeks which gives you more quantity and tastes better. I've never had food from the Smoothie Spot but the pictures on the walls make it seem like it would be good, but so do the pictures of the smoothies and I know now that is not the case. I like the Smoothie Spot, it's definitely refreshing after a workout. they have food bowls and drinks you can choose from all of them coming with a plethora of options for you to fill up on and feel good with in the process. they have a small siting area for about 8-10 so don't expect sitting all the time but they are quick and prompt. the only thing that makes me indifferent sometimes is that I order the same bowl and not once has it really tasted the same lol and I keep getting it just to check if I'm mistaken but you know, it's ok I like it just the same. I used to like this place, but unfortunately the new team is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS with the portions of food. The prices are super high. One small bowl with no extra toppings, and a shake is around $25. They barely put food on the bowl.
