First time trying this location and I was very happy with my experience. First off this no location has good parking, the actual store front is spacious and I found everything to be very clean and organized. The toppings bar looked well stocked and the ingredients looked and tasted very fresh! The build your own bowl is delicious and a small bowl is definitely big enough to share or good to save for a few meals! The chicken was well cooked and not dry at all which was great! Also the garlic cilantro sauce is a MUST! Need to come back and try more things on the menu because they have so many options! Staff is super friendly! Came for the first time and took me a while to decide between all the options they have. You can choose bowls, wraps, salads, smoothies, etc. Although they have their signature ones, you can create your own. I ended getting the Tropical Breeze smoothie and it was delicious! I normally don't give negative reviews unless you take me to that point and this unfortunately needs to be addressed. I've been coming to this neighborhood Smoothie Spot ever since it opened and it was amazing, always clean, fresh food, friendly family environment but to be honest I've noticed when the owner, his father or a family member isn't present employees don't take pride in their work. The food preparation and service is lagging. I came on a Sunday, ordered a wrap and had to explain to the girl how to remove the egg yolk because she told me how do I do this? since I just wanted the egg whites Then instead of cubing it like they normally do she just stuck the two halves like that into my wrap. She didn't offer my choice of sauce because she had put all the sauces away prior to my arrival since they were closing in half hour so i had to ask for it. Ridiculous! I also ordered a pineapple bowl and I'll just let you be the judge of my soupy bowl with the images uploaded and presentation. Will also add an image of a bowl from My Roots in Kendall so you can compare how the presentation and consistency makes a difference when you take pride in your work. Although this place is only about 5 mins from me, I ordered via UberEats. I was stuck at home without a car and was craving an Açaí Bowl. I ordered that, plus a Steak Bowl for dinner later. The Açaí arrived in perfect condition. It was not runny/ soupy nor completely frozen. The fruits were all fresh, but they forgot to add banana that I wanted as one of my toppings. I did get a few chunks of pineapple core as well. I only requested fruit toppings since they really didn't have any other interesting toppings. Like Goji, hemp hearts, bee pollen, etc. Since I was home, I figured that I'd add my own granola, chia seeds & honey. Sadly, I didn't have bananas on hand. All in all though, it was good. And a nice sized bowl at that. I struggled to finish it. They do offer several different bases for your bowl like mango, passion fruit, pineapple, strawberry & blackberry. But not pitaya. The steak bowl was ok. I forgot to take a picture, probably because it wasn't very pretty to look at. I ordered it with brown rice, black beans, mushrooms, goat cheese and baked plantains. The steak was absolutely tasteless. Thank goodness for the cilantro sauce. In hindsight, I should have ordered extra. Fortunately, I had some aioli here at home as well. Again, the small bowl was a nice sized. I had some for dinner, some for lunch the next day, and still had about 1/3 left. I'll probably try another protein next time. Maybe it was because I really did not get the concept. Yes, they have smoothies and açaí bowls. I was interested in something more substantial for lunch, preferably a salad. Smoothie Spot has wraps. There are wraps on the menu or you can "build your own". There are no salads on the menu. Instead there are "bowls"For each bowl you can choose 6 ingredients (veggies, cheese, eggs, etc.) and a protein. I ordered a bowl. Truthfully, the items available to add to the bowl did not look that impressive. The vegetables, in particular, did not look super fresh. I ordered chicken for my protein. The chicken did not look appealing but was a big portion and fairly tasty. I also ordered avocado for an extra charge. Perhaps the smoothies and açaí bowls are better. Worst acai bowl i've ever had in my life, no exaggeration, I'm an acai expert. I tossed it in the trash after 2 bites, never done this in my life. Tasted like weird, artificial cherry candy or something. Not to mention the ration of acai was very small. The entire experience was bizarre. You walk into this place and it's like a long narrow hallway, there's a computer screen that says "Order Here," and no one greats you, and there's like multiple pick-up/ordering windows that some people seem to be going to, so it's very unclear where one is supposed to order, wait, pick up, etc. I ordered at the computer for lack of better idea what the hell I'm supposed to do, my order got lost, never came out, the whole thing was a mess, super unpleasant. The entrance has a mess of chairs just sort of piled in the corners, honestly would not recommend this place. Layout and ambiance is terrible. Maybe if you're ordering take-out and you don't get an acai bowl, perhaps it's ok. I recommend to management to get the place organized, make it appealing to be in there, and make it clear how/where a new customer is supposed to order. read more

One of my local go-tos for a tasty lunch that isn't horrible for the diet. I usually go for the make your own bowl with ground turkey. I used to get the chicken many years ago but they changed the way they cook it and I was not a fan, but the turkey is delish, I would say probably the best ground Turkey I have had outside of the one I make at home! So many fresh toppings to add that you don't get bored. Have your bowl with the spinach rice- you will thank me later! The sizes are generous and you will be full! The place is really cute the decor matches the menu. The reason I gave it two stars is because of the staff they are not friendly the guy with all the tattoos is down right rude and so are the girls preparing the food.
