I had the Philly cheesesteak sub with an order of fries. The fries were over cooked they were left in the fryer too long they were hard. The sun was pretty flavorless, needed at least salt and pepper. There wasn't enough cheese for my liking. And I hate that the veggies were placed in the bread first and the meat was placed on top which made all to the veggies soggy on the bread and it was a bit too oily. Every time I place an oder with Subrageous I ask for the hot sauce to be on the side, not the sub. Never fails, they don't seem to read my order. I've also notice that the bread they are using has changed and doesn't hold up. This has always been my go to place for a good sandwich even though they are expensive and used to be worth the $ but not anymore. read more

I love a "hole in the wall" with great food. Substantial is a perfect example. Located in a warehouse/commercial area sits this little sub shop where you watch them make your order fresh. The "small" subs are huge and everything I've tried has been good or great. My favorite is a hot turkey, ham and roast beef on wheat. They have tons of choices for subs, tons of soda choices on the fountain with both Pepsi and Coke products, and sides including many fried items, side salads, potato salad, chips, etc. The seating accommodations are far from fancy but the food is worth the visit.
