PLUS the owner strives to make everyone feel welcome as well as have a good time from the moment they walk in the door to the moment they leave. The building is filled with awesome memorabilia and being from Philly , it makes me feel like I'm home again in the city. (Btw, the Philly cheese steak I have had in the past is GREAT!) A perfect deli spot. We were driving to the Florida Keys from Jacksonville and I googled a good deli in the area where we were stopping for gas. Broadway Subs had great reviews and they are well deserved. I wanted a good veggie sub and this one was on point. They have a large menu of cold subs, hot subs, grilled items like cheesesteak, etc. I was warmly greeted upon arrival and I noticed the owner knew most costumers there by name. That's awesome in todays' world to have a local shop like this. My veggie sub was delicious and huge. The owner also gave me a cookie and a small thing of pasta salad. Seriously how nice was that? So glad we stopped by after our visit to the Everglades National Park. Seriously amazing food. One of the best Philly cheesesteaks we've had! The Godfather Italian was also excellent. Service was incredibly friendly - from the warm hello when we entered, to the sweet cookie treats they gave at the end. We stopped in for a late lunch on our way to the keys. So glad we picked this place...love supporting local owned places. We were greeted immediately upon entering by at least 2 employees. We ordered at the counter and decided to split a beef au juis with horseradish 12 inch sub. We also selected 3 cookies...black and white, chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin. While we waited for the sandwiches at a nearby table, the waitress came out with samples of their sides... pasta salad and coleslaw. Both were very good. Our sandwich arrived and they had brought an extra plate. We easily split it and it was so amazing...especially the horseradish sauce. The owner? has quite a sense of humor and is very kind to boot. He offered me a free cookie despite us buying 3 (jokingly saying my husband always buys his ladies a cookie... ha ha) and then later he jokingly brought over a slip of paper he has written (but pretended was from a lady at the next table that said, "call me" followed by a heart sign. The lady commented, "now this is why we come here". Everything was great, the owner? was hilarious and the atmosphere was so fun. Food was exceptional...so much better than chain options. I ordered from here on Uber eats so my review is solely based on how my food was received. To start, it's the first time I ever had a bag like the one they use. Pretty much they seal it so your delivery person can't get in it or mess with your food. That alone was a plus. I had a Philly sub which was good in flavor. Had a rare but great experience when I made an order for Broadway Subs using Uber Eats. This is not the first time I order from them, their subs and sides are always great. This one time I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak sub and a side of Mozzarella sticks. My order arrive within minutes but the only thing was the Mozzarella sticks were missing. I could not get help from Uber and was really in the mood for my cheese sticks, so I called Broadway Subs directly. Explained the situation and the person who answered put the owner on the phone. Love the mom and pops feel of this place, we got takeout which was ready pretty quickly. I don't know if he was the owner, but this man was really kind and gave us a complimentary cookie that was pretty good. First I want to say that this is my first time ordering here and it was fucking horrible , The guy in the front screaming almost took more than five minutes to charge me then he was running around screaming at his employees and messing up every order there I don't know if it was the owner he was extremely rude to his employees screaming and cursing at them it was a horrible experience , once I told him he should treat his employees better he started cursing at me and saying bunch of stuff which I walked off not to make it a big deal . This spot was actually recommended by a guy working at a Subway rest. which said and I quote, "if you want a real sandwich go to Broadways over on Cambell, their the real deal". And curious as I am, the next day I swung by, and they did not disappoint. Ordered the roast beef aus jus w/fries and it was pretty good, the size was just right, the horseradish was really tasty and I'm not a fan of it, as well as the gravy. I wasn't super hungry so I got the 6"sub, but my buddy ordered the 12"and he had to take almost half to go. Their service is equally good as their food. I'm really looking forward to trying the mahi-mahi sandwich next time I'm in town. I recommend stopping by if your in the area and hunting for good quick bite to eat. read more
