This stop outside Homestead, FL is not too far from Everglades National Park. This is actually the second time we have been here, with the first time in 2014. The milkshakes were so memorable that we had to stop again! I loved my strawberry key lime flavor. It's made with fresh fruit and you are allowed up to three different fruits. After that, there will be additional fees. They have lots to choose from and the portion sizes are pretty large. There is also a market, where you can find lots of produce, souvenirs and gifts. A petting zoo is out back with birds, emus, turtles, goats, etc. The animals look a little dirty. I know they are outside but I kind of wonder about their care. Hopefully they are taken care of ok. Most looked healthy.
Robert and his story is one of service, family, and love of South Florida. There is no better reflection of this community than Robert is Here. It is truly a gem and I would not have enough words to express how much I love this place. I highly recommend you take family and friends here and explore the history of this place. The staff is very friendly and the care they take to serve is unmatched. Keep up the good work.
We made a stop here for lunch after visiting the Everglades. I got the taco combo from the taco truck there and it was delicious. Plus they had another truck there that serve coffee and juices. I got the pineapple juice and it was very refreshing. There's also a variety such as a zoo, fruit stands, and other various food joints on site. They have a lot of parking in their parking lot. Otherwise I recommend coming by if you're in an area.
I dont know what to say besides this is an institution and a blessing to south florida. We just wanted juice and I got the biggest mango (that they cut for me) and a visit to their rescue animal area in the back. They have emus and cows and goats. It's so fun to observe the animals. The fruit is amazing, I with I lived there and could stock up. The fact they cut the mango for guests is so convenient while on vacation. The juice is so fresh! I had passionfruit and they suggested to add sugar to cut the sourness, glad I did. Not on the cheaper side but it's a whole compound and a must do when you're in the area.
We can't go to Homestead & the Everglades without visiting Robert Is Here! Robert was a little boy who opened a fruit stand in 1959 at age 6 to help his father sell produce from the family farm. To get the attention of folks passing by, Robert's dad scrawled the words "Robert Is Here" on signs placed on each side of the table. That day, Robert sold out all his produce by noon and a budding farmer & entrepreneur was born. The farm stand not only gained a name that day, but has gained a loyal following ever since. And that little boy? Robert himself still works the stand today. Robert's is more than just a fruit stand, Robert is a true Miami treasure! Throughout the year, there's live music every weekend. This enormous fruit stand is stocked with exotic fresh local fruits: 1. As the largest tropical fruit that grows on trees, a single Jackfruit can weigh up to 80 lbs. The skin resembles a green sea urchin, and inside is a soft orange fruit featuring a pineapple-vanilla flavor. 2. Guanabana has a similar green prickly skin as the jackfruit. When the fruit is ripe, the skin is extremely soft and can be opened with your hands. Robert says the pockets of fruit you'll find inside taste like "pineapple cotton candy." 3. Dragon fruit has a bright pink skin protecting white fruit inside, which has small black seeds. It tastes like a blend of raspberry, strawberry & kiwi. We waited on a long long line for fresh fruit, milkshakes and smoothies. We bought all kinds of fruit, vegetables and exotic fruits to try. I was disappointed they used to have samples so we could have a little taste of exotic fruits before we purchase them. The fruits and fruit drinks have become significantly more expensive than they were the last time we were here. There are about 30 different varieties of honey and we can't sample those either. I couldn't resist buying some homemade jams from passionfruit and Guanabanas. If I could taste some of the fruit, I would be more eager to purchase. In the back, our plants for sale, wood, carvings, a barbecue a Mexican food truck .. there are lots of old farm machines to climb on and play with an animals to pet and feed. We found a shady picnic table to sit and enjoy our fruit drinks.
Another great stop. Enjoyed the smoothie and the bananas lasted long and tasted way better than in a grocery store!
This place has amazing smoothies, live music often, and great vendors behind the establishment. We came after a crazy day in the everglades and spent $9 for 3 tacos which was a deal you don't get many places. Local honey, jams and huge fruits all around. Animals are cute too. Recommend always
Such a fun place for fresh fruits and fun! Went here in the winter and enjoyed spending time with the birds, animals, and enjoying fresh smoothies. In the summer they have SO much variety of Miami mangoes and other seasonal fruits. If you don't have a local connection, this is definitely a great place to get sweet mangos. We even got to meet Robert! Nice fun fruit market. There's plenty of parking outside the shop.
Visited here while in town. Fun to try lots of new fruits I've never had before. The petting zoo area is fun. Everything is very pricey though. I decided to order online when I got home so my family could try some things. A month and half later, after many calls back and forth, I was told the mangoes I had ordered were no longer in season. That's fine, they offered some other mangoes. They told me the Mamey I wanted would still arrive along with the mystery fruit box. A few days later, I finally had my box. The fruit was rotted, smashed, moldy and they didn't have the Mamey (they did refund this before the box sent) I basically paid $170 for some mangoes because the rest was inedible and had to be tossed. Reached out and haven't heard anything back. Not impressed with the customer service, or lack there of.
It's a tourist trap, expensive fruits and juices. There were long line for the smoothie and milkshake, $10 each, it's pricey and the quality was not consistent, I had the seasonal jackfruit smoothie, it was awful, I throw it away after 1-2 sips. Waste of money and time, there's a 30 minutes wait for the drink after ordering. My intention to visit was to get some tropical fruit and I was shocked to see the price of the fruit. My advice to all - good to drop by for a rest then move on to other places fo better juices and fruits shopping, there's Publix grocery store with better fruits and decent prices.
Pro: tons of variety and cool open market feel Con: everything seemed pretty expensive and smoothies were not impressive I liked the idea...I love the background story. The place was loaded with fresh fruit (and unique varietals) as well as tons of honey, sauces, dried fruits and nuts, cheeses, skin products...a lot. Market on side sold smoothies and shakes. They were expensive and nothing special...and the staff making them could be seen in back chatting away while people waited 5 + minutes to get their order. Out back was a plethora of animals. They seemed well cared for and the kids there seemed to enjoy them. An interesting stop but likely wouldn't go out of my way to return.
This is always a fun stop while in the area. The milkshakes are top notch. Although $10, it's well worth it for the fresh fruit shakes and slushes. The passion fruit is really great The store itself is so cool with fruits and veggies of all kinds. So much to see here and goodies to buy. Outside you will find a farmyard area. Lots to see here. There's also lots of seating for two food trucks out there. Plenty of parking. Fun to see the purple martins in the summer in their houses by the parking lot.
This is a very cool (and touristy) stop on the way to the Everglades, and it caught our eye because of its claim for delicious juices and great fruit. It's got a cool little animal petting area in the back and areas to sit with some food trucks as well. However, for the price you pay, you're completely ripped off based on the quality of the products. The smoothies we got were of questionable quality - not very flavorful. The passion fruit and orange one was the best of the two, the guanabana one was a little weird. The sugar cane juice fell flat too. The biggest let down was the fruit we bought. The papaya and chickoo we bought was absolutely tasteless, we had to throw it out because they tasted like crap. For how much we paid for it, and for the fact that we bought it from a farm stand, it felt very disappointing. The tangerines were decent though. The stand should stick to things that are good.

Such a cool pit stop on our way out from the Everglades. It's basically a large fruit stand-road-side stop where you can load up on everything from fruits to drinks and even hang out with some animals in the back! There is a huge variety of fruits and combinations that you can customize and choose from for your drinks (either milkshake or smoothie). The smoothies were really refreshing and a large portion so the $10 was well worth it. In the back, there was a large seating area with also some food trucks if you wanted something savory. But the other hidden stars of the places are all the animals that you can see and even feed. They had everything from iguanas, turtles, sheep, emus, goats etc. Such a fun detour that is mandatory to stop out if you are in the area! read more

NIce place to spend either the morning or afternoon with the kiddos. We went in the afternoon straight to buy lettuce and feed the cows goats and turtles. The kids had a blast. The into the milkshakes, we got strawberry, papaya and sour soap (guanabana) yummy. We sat down under the new big roof to drink them. We also bought the freshly made guacamole super yummy. Finally we went back to feed the animals again. We all had a great peaceful time. We do recommend. read more

Robert is here is a classic stop along the way to the keys, we've enjoyed visiting as the years have gone by and it is the premier place to get a new and exciting fruit or milkshake that's only available in southern Florida. This year we tried the black sapote and it did not disappoint! It tastes like chocolate pudding, but it's healthy fruit! Robert is usually at the counter and you can tell his passion for serving others in the smiles and stories that he shares with visitors. If you're heading down to the Keys, make sure that this is your last stop before hitting the bridge! read more

I stopped by this fruit stand on the way to the Keys. I loved roaming around and seeing all the different types of fruit. Robert was so friendly and picked out the ripest sapotes for me. I ended up buying 5 pounds of them! I also got the famous guanabana milkshake. Despite it being called soursop the milkshake was sweet and not sour at all. I highly recommend it! It was also really fun to roam around and see the eclectic selection of animals in the farm. I'll definitely be back even if I'm not going to the keys! read more

Such an eccentric and unexpected spot. We stopped by on our way to the Everglades with the intent of getting a quick smoothie, however, our visit kept getting extended because of all of the great things to look at! Huge petting zoo with a great variety of animals, tons of vintage pieces, locally made products and produce. We did end up getting a strawberry orange smoothie and a banana strawberry milkshake. Both were tasty but extremely pricey at $9 each. Service was quick but signage was confusing as there were signs for pickup going to random places that were obviously not the pickup. The Mexican food truck in the back was also excellent! Great tacos and burritos, highly recommend checking them out as well. Overall, definitely worth the stop if you're in the area. read more
Great store for fruit that is mostly locally grown but super pricey too. They have stuff we can't get easily so you will pay. One Coconut $6. Definitely a touristy place. They have soursop at $20 pound. Milkshakes are very popular and the line for them is crazy. They have mangoes all year so those are sometimes from Ecuador. They have all the south florida specialities. read more

We were already down in Homestead and only 10 minutes away so we said "Why not?" and headed over to Robert Is Here. This place is pretty famous in South Florida but we met some people who came down to visit from NYC! The inside is basically just a fruit market, albeit with some pretty exotic offerings on hand. We grabbed a few! They also sell a huge variety of fruit flavored smoothies and milk shakes too. Spensyr got passion fruit while I opted for guanabana. We also decided to split a Cuban sandwich for lunch and it was the saddest, blandest, not at all toasted and barely pressed Cubano ever. Out back is a huge pen full of rescued animals you can pay to feed, nothing looked especially healthy, but the goats and cows were hungry enough to come over to the fence. Staff is friendly and helpful, but prices are extremely high. read more
Robert Is Here Fruit Stand. It's kind of in the middle of a residential area. It has ample parking and sells fruits, veggies, and snacks. They also make shakes on site and had a Mexican food truck out back. The property is large with rescued birds and animals, some exotic and some of the barnyard variety. Chickens are running free range, and they have quite a few bathrooms, including the private trailer porta potty variety. I especially enjoyed the animals. I picked up some strawberries, a popsicle, and fresh squeezed orange juice. read more

This is a great stop on the road between Miami and the Keys - we came here in January 2025, finding it by accident on our drive towards the Everglades, although we had seen it on YouTube a few times. The produce here is beautiful and exotic - fruits and vegetables never heard of - and varieties of those you know on an epic scale. The Monroe avocados in particular were mind boggling for their sheer size. We grabbed some tasty smoothies and checked out their petting zoo, which is a beautifully done animal shelter containing iguanas, goats, turtles, birds, and other critters. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they are happy to prep your produce for immediate consumption if you like. They also prepare a good number of juices made from their inventory. You can easily lose track of time here. But if you have the time, it would be well spent. read more

We have been wanting to try this place for a long time and since we were driving by decided to stop. Definitely a nice selection of fruits and even activities in a little petting zoo. Their prices are much higher than other similar fruit stands around South Florida. We happen to go on a holiday weekend and a place was actually a zoo. But if you're driving by definitely worth stopping and looking around, grabbing a milkshake, but I don't think I would make a special trip to drive there. read more
Fresh produce at great prices! We stopped in after a long day in Homestead and picked up a ton of locally grown fruits and vegetables. They truly have a little bit of everything--including a small petting farm, which was a fun surprise. read more
I absolutely loved my time here. I did not think I would spend close to two hours at a fruit stand, but I did. First, there is plenty of parking along the sides of the place and people are constantly coming in and out so be patient if it's all full. Next, I loved the variety of fruit they had along with the signs that tell you about it and when it is ripe. I would say I was familiar with about 80% of their inventory and tried to buy some of the ones I had never had. I did like that for some of the larger fruits they sold it by pieces, which made me more likely to buy it. They will peel / cut up the fruit for you at the register, right in front of you. In total we spent $28 which was a bit expensive BUT, it was all worth it when he got to the animals because basically - you get a free trip to the zoo. The birds were fascinating, and they all had very unique personalities, some even talked. They has lots of tortoises, chickens running around everywhere, emu, ducks, and so many more. There are porter potties and lots of tables to enjoy your fruit and animals. read more
Can't believe I've lived in South Florida my entire life and have never been to this fruit stand (& more!). This was a fun little stop on our way home from Key Largo to grab some goodies and try their infamous smoothie / milkshakes. Busy spot, but lots of space to roam around so you don't feel like you're on top of others. You can smell the fresh fruit as soon as you step in! My boyfriend and I decided to try their strawberry mango smoothie and it was definitely worth the wait! I would definitely return just for a fun little drive out of the normal. read more

Came here on while on our trek to the NPs in South Florida. It is touristy, but if you're coming here with family, it's definitely a great place to go to. They have exotic fruits (yes, a bit pricey), an animal farm, milkshakes, and some food to grab. The best part about this place in my opinion was all the awesome animals that we saw while we were there. You get to be up close and personal with a lot of them. They had a BBQ spot, but we didn't end up grabbing food from there as it didn't look to appealing. read more

Stopped today to get the first lychees of the season. I was surprised how busy it was!
