Food is always fresh and made on order. I've had both lunch and breakfast here and food is always good. They have a good wine selection and serve $5 house wines during their happy hour. There are daily specials. One of the days (don't remember which) they offer $5 soups. It's a great place to visit with friends for some wine and cheese boards. Cozy ambiance love sitting back and enjoying a warm soup on a rainy day. They have a cheese counter in the center as well where you can come pick up different cheeses to take home.

I cannot believe I never tried The Cheese Course before! I had the tomato bisque and the grilled cheese on brioche bread. Delicious! Service was outstanding and the place is super adorable with plenty of parking just outside. Highly recommend! I will be back.

Great service, food and price. This is our go to place for breakfast for lunch and it never fails to deliver. They also have mimosa and their coffees are spectacular. Very calm Italian feel ambiance. They also have cheese available for purchase.

I have always liked coming here for a quick lunch. It is one of those places that once you walk in you feel transported to some small cafe in Europe. The old looking marble top tables and the way it is decorated definitely can do the trick. Food wise it is very good. Fresh salads and light sandwiches along with some charcuterie makes this a perfect experience for having something light or just having a good time with some friends over wine and a nice cheese board. Awesome service... very friendly and attentive. Prices are very reasonable and food, like I mentioned, is very good.

Stumbled across this place and I don't know how I haven't heard about it before! Anything with cheese and wine and you can always count me in! Everything was delicious here and such great portions!

Great place to enjoy some wine (coffee for us - this time) & cheese on a low-key Friday night!

This place is good. They have great sandwiches. I have not tried to many items on the menu, but people like it. Next time I will ask for the tomato soup because I really love it and I want to try it. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere!!

Sunday Fun Day Dinning!!! We walked in, and sat immediately. The service was not the best at all. The food was quite decent. When I tried to order the waitress, was very unprofessional with her manners. I tried to order the salmon and she got disgusted by it. Made feel a bit uncomfortable. I felt like walk out then, and there. I kept my calm. Ordered my dinner. The tables are very small too. This would explain why the place was very empty. Not turning back!!!

I got a deal on a groupon so I figured I would try it out. So worth it. The deal was a cheese fondue for two, with 2 glasses of wine. And dipping fruits, bread & veggies. We added a side of Serano ham for $3-$4 dollars. It was delicious. The cheese was just perfect. The blend of flavors was just amazing. I wanted to order a special they had but was so full from the fondue that I had to save it for another day(will hopefully update my review to 5 star after I try the lunch). The server was very nice and helpful with any questions we had about the different variety of cheese and Wine they had. While walking around and checking out everything all the employees were very helpful. The place itself is very clean. I can't wait to come back and try out the menu items. Everything sounds so good.

Florida Wine Academy - Classes at the Miami Culinary Institute

Florida Wine Academy

(4 reviews)

I met Alessandra at a wine event and learned that her company teaches many classes on wine and even…read moresake. I've been thinking of taking the WSET exam to get some more solid knowledge of wine, and after comparing different places offering the course as well as online options, I decide to take the class here. Located in the SunTrust building, the academy is easily accessible and there's garage as well as street parking around. The class is a small in size so it's good for sharing experience and opinions. Alessandra is readily available to answer questions during and after class, and she gives useful tips in preparing for the exam. The course really helped me in calibrating my palate to the WSET standard, as well as broadening my horizon and introducing me to less common wines, such as Hungarian tokaji and Australian riesling. In the end, I felt that regardless of whether I pass the exam or not, the course was totally worthwhile, because it has given me a lot of knowledge and the tool to better appreciate wine.

What an incredible time I had yesterday at the Florida Wine Academy for my Wine Class…read more I have so many reasons to go back, from the impeccable place, inside and outside, to the wonderful and well-prepared class, directed by Ms. Nicole. She emailed us, two days before, and asked us if we have any food allergies since they will provide some snacks to pair with the wines. She also gave us the address and explained to us how to get there and where to park. I parked in a public garage for $5.00, this was not my best choice, because I'm not used to walking alone downtown, but it wasn't that bad after all. I went into the Sun-trust building, a beautiful tall building. The academy is on the 22nd floor as Nicole told us in her email. Once I got there, we went to this room where she had everything set up as you can see in my pictures, so pretty and organized. That's one of the most important things for me, how well organized and neat everything was. I need all those, in order for me to learn and enjoy myself the way I did. She started the class as a Professor will, telling us about herself and that, made me happy, such a prepared person is teaching me about wine...wow. The way she directed the class, with all the details, from guiding us where to buy wines, to open up our senses. Smell, Taste, and Body, were words we used during the whole class since we learned from her how to categorize each different wine, from all the six we had. As we were learning, smelling, and trying the wines, she also told us how to pair them with food and gave us tips on which wine will go good or better with the food we choose. With the wines we tried, we had some nuts, cheese and crackers, grapes, and dark chocolate...Yummy! They also offer all the 4 levels of WSET classes, plus labs like the one I went and more. You can always call or check their website for more information. Honestly, after trying this class yesterday, I don't feel so embarrassed to try the leveled classes and get my certification, because they way they teach you, you can actually learn and move forward.

The churrasco, the ribeye, the chicken breast, the chorizo... all of it has been stellar. I have never had a single issue with ordering, or picking up. As a matter of fact, even when I have made errors when placing my order, they are quick to resolve my issue and help me out. I placed an order for delivery for what I presume to be one of their busiest days (New Year's Eve). I needed to change the order to pickup and change the date of pickup from the 31st to the 30th. They made the changes for me without issue, or grievance. Personally, raw meat gives me the major ick. My OCD goes into panic mode when I have to handle the meat. I even use gloves (wish I didn't, but maybe I'll work on that in therapy). Point of the matter is that I have gone to several butcher shops in town in an effort to find better quality meat. They have all grossed me out. Josh's is pristinely clean. I feel zero anxiety walking in, or out with meat. Whenever you go pickup in store, Josh's mom, or dad are at the register. It makes me so happy to know I am supporting a small Miami family business. I love this place so much that not only do I frequently purchase their meat for my family, we give out gift cards constantly because I can trust that the recipient will have an unforgettable experience as well. You can't go wrong with this place. Truly, the meat and experience is worth every penny.
