I drool every time I think of this spot. Hidden away in an industrial warehouse sector of Westchester is where you'll find this beefy gem. It's not your typical meat store by any means. They sell top notch cuts that are only available here. This is certainly South Florida's destination for the best butcher when it comes to properly procured meats. The Japanese A5 Wagyu sold here is the softest and most tender grade on the market. It literally melts like butter in your mouth. Those tomahawks are better than the ones I've tasted anywhere else and for that reason I choose Josh's as my preferred specialty butcher. Don't leave without a pack of the Wagyu Hotdogs because they're definitely going to amp up your next barbecue for sure!

Meat is meat, right? Wrong. Sometimes you really want to get a treat and as we all know, good cooking takes technique, equipment, practice, and good ingredients. I miss the old German and Polish butcher shops in Chicago where you can find anything gourmet inside their doorsteps. High end butcher shops in Miami tend to be much more spartan and focus solely on the premium meat. I've always hesitated stepping foot in here even though I've seen homies pick up mad steaks from here and feastin' and beastin'. I've probably checked out the menu several times and didn't go in. Luckily I'll have good friends and we stopped in to check the wares. The only meat you'll see on display is a variety of big cuts of wagyu, picanha, churrasco, and others. They have menus everywhere but you'll catch some legendary A5 Wagyu, Australian Wagyu, and Tomahawk steaks if you're lucky. Since my friend wanted to celebrate he grabbed 2 A5 Wagyu ribeyes, a tri-tip, bone marrow, and skirt steak. We got a giant sturdy bag of mega meat and went home with the goods! A5 Wagyu refers to the meat quality and the marbling in the steak. I've never seen A5 Wagyu on a menu and my chef friends have often said they'd have to wait in line to get a cut of this heavily marbled ribeye. My friend shelled out $120 for a rib eye and I was feeling immense pressure to deliver and outstanding meal. I've never prepared a steak like this before and asked the guy behind the counter. He said just cut a bit of the fat off the steak, throw it into the pan and sear each side for 2 minutes. Using the reverse sear method, I threw it in the oven at 200 degrees 'til it was about 120°F. I then max heated up my cast iron skillet and waited. I set up clouds of smoke in my house and triggered off the smoke detectors and threw the A5 on for 45 seconds on each side while basting with butter while it cooked. I pulled the steaks off and the long wait to let the meat rest began. The time flew by and gave me enough time to finish mashed potato and Parmesan asparagus. Lo and behold - the moment of truth arrived. Did I over cook this to the land of medium and beyond? Did I squander the opportunity to cook with such a legendary cut of meat? Would I betray my friend's trust with subpar cooking? The answers to all of these were a resounding hell naw! The first slice revealed a medium rare steak, pink, and dripping with melting fat. Many people refer to meat as melt in your mouth. I've never eaten anything like this in my life. Every single bite was gushing from all of the marbling, and this delicate rib eye revealed why it's so coveted. It was a meal I'll never forget. Sometimes you spend insanely to get the steakhouse experience. At Josh's, I had one of the most memorable meals of my life and I have them to thank for it. Tremendous ingredients lie within their walls. You're just going to have to find out for yourself!!!

Decided to hop on the JPM Miami bandwagon with this one and was not disappointed at all! Located in the warehouse area of Westchester, they have a WIDE variety of meats and prices. We ordered 4 skirt steaks for my moms bday and everyone agreed this had to be the best steak we've ever had. To cook: bbq on high heat, salt, pepper, olive oil, grill 2 min on each side = perfection

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. This place is family owned and run and honestly I absolutely love it. Great varieties of meats and chicken and feel free to ask all the questions you want because they won't give you an attitude, just a good one.

Your answer for restaurant quality BBQing and entertaining at home. Josh has the most buttery, tender wagyu cuts available and the customer service is amazing. Their wagyu filets are some of the best I have tried- even from the top steakhouses in the world. Their storefront has an amazing selection of meats, cheeses and everything you need to host at home. They will also deliver directly to you. Definitely check them out.

Absolute Best Steak In The Game! I don't go anywhere else for my premium meat. As a Personal Chef I search for only the absolute best quality steak for my clients and Josh's Premium is second to none! The quality, Taste and Customer service are all 5 Star and Josh has been a huge help to supplying my business with only the finest quality product. A business owner who truly cares about what he is putting forth for his client and always focused on providing nothing but the best. Ofcourse theirs nothing in the world like Japanese A5 (which josh has) but my absolute favorite product and especially for the price is his Australian Picanha! One of the best steaks I've ever had the pleasure or trying and it impresses my dinner guests and clients each and every single time. Theirs good steak, then their Josh's Wagyu, once you try Josh's Wagyu theirs no going back to "good" because he truly sets the bar for GREAT! 5/5 , 10/10 Best steak in Miami hands down.

The best service and meat in town no questions asked! Why go to a restaurant when you can have wagyu at home instead

I've tried over a dozen high end meat retailers and Josh's is hands down the best quality, consistency and selection. Pricing, variety and customer service are top notch.

Top quality and service. The wagyu filet mignon was exceptional. The basque cheesecake is an acquired taste, but also very good.

The olive fed meats are my second favorite after the Wagyu. All their meats are vacuumed sealed and fresh.

You just pay for the meat. The meat is very very tender. They also have lunch specials but we haven't tried it. Their salad is very good and they have three different kinds. They serve it with rice, couscous, mash potatoes, 5-6 different types of sauces. You can always ask for more sides without any extra charge. The only issue I felt was that no matter what meat you get, the taste is the same. I mean yes lamb VS beef is different but like beef ribs and beef flanges taste the same. Wish they had different flavors on the meat. But over all great experience.

The waitress came and explained us how the menu worked. You order smoked meats by the pound - different lamb and beef cuts - and all the sides are all you can eat. We ordered briskett and lamb ribs. The sides included spiced rice, couscous drenched in an oily red peper paste, israeli couscous dyed purple, cucumber tomato salad, yogurt, arugula salad, something they called tropical salad, and mashed potatoes. The sides were hit and miss, the couscous and rice, as well as the tropical salad, were very good. All the others were mostly forgettable. The meats were room temperature, completely unseasoned and saltless, and very dry. You really had to pack them up with salt and the different sauces they offered so they would be edible. Interestingly, I was charged extra for the bone-in lamb ribs, apparently because "this is the way it works". All and all an interesting experience, too bad the stars of the show, the smoked meats, were less then stellar.

The place is small and we sat at the bar. It's a cool, dive bar vibe with memorabilia on the wall. There were only a handful of others there, but the service was slow, especially considering it wasn't very crowded. It seems like the waitress was distracted and forgot about us. Eventually, we were taken care of. We all got one of their sodas and thought h they tasted good. We tried to order their award-winning fish dip, listed on the specials board, but the waitress said they were out of chips. Ok, fine -- we said "forget it" and moved onto the main course. We all ordered some variation of the Fancy Nancy, their namesake burger. It was a good burger but not the best in Florida. Not even close. The fries were frozen and nothing to write home about. Others in our party ordered the "award-winning" potato salad, which tasted pretty good. As an aside, I ordered my burger medium well, and it was cooked as desired. Everyone else ordered their burger medium and two were very pink, more like medium rare or rare. It seems like most of their awards and accolades were earned pre-COVID. We wanted to like this local spot but I have to imagine it's not what it once was.
