Amazing food and even more amazing service! I've had dinner at Meat Moot twice now and they have never let me down. The restaurant is so nice and spacious; perfect for huge parties. The staff are all so nice and accommodating as well. I think one of my favorite parts of Meat Moot is the unlimited sides they offer. I personally think the quinoa and rice are the best sides; they are so delicious. They also provide so many different sauces; there is something for everyone and each sauce compliments the meats so well. I honestly don't quite remember which meats I ate, but they are all well-seasoned, tender, and cooked to perfection. You must end your meal with their baklava. They have different flavors and they come in mini sizes. They're sweet, but it's a nice treat to end the night.

A cool Turkish halal meat experience. The cost of the meat is really expensive, but it is a very special extremely tender meat. There isn't much else on the menu, so I'd only come here if you're a passionate meat lover. Well I'm personally not a huge meat fan, I could appreciate how tender and well cooked the meat was. They even let us sample the meat before picking which ones we wanted.

Had an excellent lunch with my family here today. They have a great lunch special that gives you a 1/2 lb of meat 2 salads and 2 sides and a drink for 24.95. We got one of each. My personal favorite were the beef ribs but I enjoyed all of them. I'd definitely come back here again.

This was my first time at this restaurant and I was definitely impressed! Service was top notch, everything came out fast. The food was super tasty and o really a fun experience to order. The side are unlimited which is nice. Flavor was it tastes authentic, and smoked the perfect amount. Great ambiance, great people, and they even did a fire show which was really nice. I definitely recommend!

Horrible! The piece of meat I got was all fat and veins (not able to eat). Service was terrible and then they add 20% gratuity to your check that of course I asked to remove. Food - very poor quality Service - bad Overall 4/10

Lamb and beef options per pound. I would recommend only ordering one pound of meat per two people, since the meat comes with a variety of sauces and appetizers. Lamb ribs seem to be a a favorite there, but were sold out by the time we went -which was a relatively early time. Beef ribs were good too. Lamb brisket was dry, lamb neck had a funny smell to it. Overall I'd recommend this place if you're a fan of lamb meat, or if you're going for the experience although it's definitely not like the full experience you get in the Middle East.

Out of all the restaurants we visited in Miami, this one was my favorite! Let me tell you the meat is phenomenal! Extremely tender, literally falls off the bone! All the sides are included with your meal. We were a party of 16 and still the service was excellent and quick!

    Brisket and beef ribs

Went for dinner with the wife for the dinner special Service was good the place was basically empty We ordered the beef ribs and brisket. Beef ribs are good side dishes are good Should have better sauces to compliment the meat Not for the brisket. There is no way what we got was brisket. More like chuck roast pulled beef. No brisket flavor and no smoke flavor. You guys are in miami you need to serve alcohol and play some music

This is next door to an infamous steak place where some lame guy wearing shades salts your steak. PRO TIP ...come here instead ! Meat is way better tasting and plenty of sides they have a lunch special for ~$25 choice of meat and sides way better tasting than place next door ... quick and fast service , friendly staff ...Recommend!

This whole place has such nice vibes. The food was mouth watering, very tender and well cooked. Can't wait for round two!!!

    Is the meat halal?

Yes, all of our cuts of meat are halal certified. Look forward to “meating” you soon.

Do they serve wine? If not do they allow corkage, I.e. to bring wine?

No wine. Doubtful, alcohol is against their religion but call & ask.

It's easy to find right off Bird Road with easy strip mall parking. Upon arriving it sets the mood entirely with great fun appropriate decor and a prompt happy welcome. Staff Makes us feel they are glad we came-What a cool place! We settle on the brisket, baby back ribs, potato salad and beans with brisket. Can I tell you EvErYtHiNg was spot on!! And we plan accordingly to try their famous 12 hour smoked Flan dessert!! 1. Smoked Brisket- moist, perfect flavor, hearty portion, tender and high quality meat. Comes with great sauce, which I didn't use since it was so perfect as is. 2. Smoked Baby Back Ribs- Another hit with healthy portion, great flavor, and super meaty. Honestly, just hard to stop eating it! 3. Baked Beans with Brisket- A true meal unto itself! I could've stopped here! Tons of brisket ground into the beans, almost like the best "chili" ever. Flavor is sophisticated smokiness, not the usual sugary sweet restaurant rendition. Yay! 4. Potato salad is FIRE! Fresh perfectly cooked tender white potatoes, cooked carrots & peas add just enough interest and a magical a touch of mayo. Yes please. 5. 12 hour smoked Flan-STAR * of the show, the flan of my dreams! Staff insisted this flan is all that and they are correct! It's LEGIT. We left with a doggie bag, so worth it. Price was for real, you pay for quality. $74, but we brought plenty home. You could get by with a meal for two around $50-60, if you need. Check out their Later week Happy hour sand weekly specials as well as brunch & breakfast. It's all good here! Thanks for following me-happy spring 2026! ~Tami in Miami

Smoke & Dough... I Went Looking for BBQ... and Found One of the Best Pastrami Sandwiches in South…read moreFlorida Back in my day, going out for BBQ wasn't something you did every weekend. It was a special occasion. If you grew up in Miami, you probably remember The New Hickory on Coral Way. Then there was Uncle Tom's on 8th Street. Great food... but let's be honest... everybody was just a little nervous eating there because it was right next to the cemetery. You'd be halfway through your ribs thinking... "¿Tú crees que ese ruido vino del parking... o del cementerio? Later on we graduated to Luther's on Bird Road and 117th Avenue, and of course, Shorty's, the undisputed king that's been feeding hungry Miamians for generations. These days it seems like a new BBQ place opens every other week in South Florida. I recently tried one of the newer spots in South Miami... except when we got there they were out of half the menu. Nothing kills your BBQ excitement faster than hearing, "Sorry... we're out of brisket." That's like walking into Versailles and hearing they're out of croquetas. So when our friends Ana and Henry invited Betty and me to Smoke & Dough in Kendall, I was ready to get my BBQ on. We walked into this unassuming strip mall, I grabbed the menu, ready to order ribs or brisket... ...and then I saw it. The Pastrami Sandwich. Now THAT got my attention. Finding a really good pastrami sandwich down here isn't easy. Roasters 'N Toasters has a very good one. Lox of Bagels (what many of us still call Lox of Lox) makes a solid one too. But this one... This one beat them both by a mile. The meat was warm, juicy, incredibly flavorful, the cheese perfectly melted, the Thousand Island dressing was just the right amount, and the bread held everything together without falling apart after the second bite... a miracle in itself. And it wasn't one of those fancy little sandwiches you need a magnifying glass to find on the plate. This thing was substantial. I shared it with my wife... ...and I was full. ¡Y yo soy tremendo comelón! Our friends ordered the brisket empanadas, a quiche, and brisket sandwiches that looked absolutely outstanding. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked like somebody back there really cared about what they were serving. The atmosphere surprised me. Instead of feeling like an old-school BBQ joint with picnic tables and sauce bottles everywhere, it feels more like a cozy neighborhood bistro that just happens to know its way around a smoker. Comfortable, relaxed, and the kind of place where nobody is rushing you out the door because another party is waiting. They also have what looked like an excellent selection of wines and craft beers, which gives the place a slightly elevated feel without being pretentious. Now... everybody has been telling me about their famous **Smoked Flan Apparently it's slowly cooked on the barbecue pit for about five hours, giving the creamy custard and caramel a subtle smoky flavor. Believe me... I wanted to try it. But after that pastrami... Game over. There wasn't enough room left. The owners came over, introduced themselves, shared a little of the history behind Smoke & Dough, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Those little moments still matter. You leave feeling like they appreciate your business instead of treating you like the next number in line. Overall, we had a wonderful time. Good food. Great company. Friendly owners. A relaxed atmosphere where you actually want to stay awhile. After our last dining experience at another restaurant where we practically felt like they were timing us with a stopwatch, this was a refreshing change. Will I be back? Absolutely. Not just for the BBQ... I'm coming back to see if that smoked flan lives up to the hype. And maybe... Just maybe... I'll order ,another pastrami sandwich.

From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the smell of smoked meat, and you know you're in for something special. It's a quaint little place with community-style picnic table seating indoors, and you can tell it gets busy during peak hours. The staff treated us like family from the moment we walked in and made us feel right at home. I ordered the baby back ribs and brisket, and both were outstanding. The collard greens were hands down the best I've ever had, and the sweet potato soufflé was just as memorable. Even the Texas toast was incredible--I don't usually talk about bread, but this stuff was fire! The drinks were served in large cups, and the sweet tea was absolutely perfect. Dinner for two came to about $78, which might seem a little high at first, but quality barbecue isn't cheap, and every dollar was worth it. The portions were generous, everything was fresh, and this was easily one of the best barbecue meals I've had. We were so full we almost skipped dessert, but I'm glad we didn't. The homemade Key lime pie was the best we had during our entire trip to the Keys. It was smooth, creamy, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of Key lime flavor, and unlike some of the others we tried, it wasn't gritty at all. It was the perfect ending to an incredible meal. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're in South Florida.
