Went there with wife and friends for dinner. We tried their lamb shanks and beef ribs and they both were really good. They slow cook their meat for over 8hours. The sides are unlimited. You just pay for the meat. The meat is very very tender. They also have lunch specials but we haven't tried it. Their salad is very good and they have three different kinds. They serve it with rice, couscous, mash potatoes, 5-6 different types of sauces. You can always ask for more sides without any extra charge. The only issue I felt was that no matter what meat you get, the taste is the same. I mean yes lamb VS beef is different but like beef ribs and beef flanges taste the same. On a Saturday afternoon, we were the only ones at the restaurant. The dinining room seats around 80 people, with a few more tables outdoors overlooking Brickell Avenue. The waitress came and explained us how the menu worked. You order smoked meats by the pound - different lamb and beef cuts - and all the sides are all you can eat. We ordered briskett and lamb ribs. The sides included spiced rice, couscous drenched in an oily red peper paste, israeli couscous dyed purple, cucumber tomato salad, yogurt, arugula salad, something they called tropical salad, and mashed potatoes. The sides were hit and miss, the couscous and rice, as well as the tropical salad, were very good. All the others were mostly forgettable. The meats were room temperature, completely unseasoned and saltless, and very dry. You really had to pack them up with salt and the different sauces they offered so they would be edible. Interestingly, I was charged extra for the bone-in lamb ribs, apparently because "this is the way it works". All and all an interesting experience, too bad the stars of the show, the smoked meats, were less then stellar. read more

Amazing food and even more amazing service! I've had dinner at Meat Moot twice now and they have never let me down. The restaurant is so nice and spacious; perfect for huge parties. The staff are all so nice and accommodating as well. I think one of my favorite parts of Meat Moot is the unlimited sides they offer. I personally think the quinoa and rice are the best sides; they are so delicious. They also provide so many different sauces; there is something for everyone and each sauce compliments the meats so well. I honestly don't quite remember which meats I ate, but they are all well-seasoned, tender, and cooked to perfection. You must end your meal with their baklava. Lamb ribs seem to be a a favorite there, but were sold out by the time we went -which was a relatively early time. Beef ribs were good too. Lamb brisket was dry, lamb neck had a funny smell to it. Best meat in maim hands down. Don't expect to see the "fire show" right away as it only happens around every 30 mins or so. My suggestions for the new restaurant is to have more uniformed Service. Being a new concept I seen so many new comers have no idea what to do. What to expect etc. I think the hostess should seat each party and explain how ordering works. I also feel that the service wasn't the best. Miami is known for top notch restaurants so it's important to have service meet the same quality as the food. Servers just didn't come around as much I had to get up multiple times to ask for something as simple as water. Hopefully his gets fixed as they grow. The ambiance was nice I think it could be a little darker and have normal music. They were playing very soft piano type music that didn't match the vibe of the restaurant. It felt quiet as opposed to feeling lively. Lastly only food complaint I have is their potatoes are really really good. But cold. Not room temperature but cold. I asked if they can warm them up and they said no. I think it's very easy to be able to keep potatoes in a warmer. So they can be served warm. Their excuse was that it was their only for display. Which is understandable it what about eating it? I think with all the ovens there's this can be an easy adjustment to make. The managers were great very accommodating and making sure everyone was happy. Everything is similar to Texas style smoked meats but with great mediterranean flavor and spices which for me makes it special. All the cuts we tried were very tender and flavorful.
