I stopped by this weekend to have the wagyu steak frites - it was phenomenal! Saturday at around 2:30pm there was no wait so as soon as I arrived I was able to have a bar seat in front of the window. Service was great, food was outstanding, and prices very fair for the quality that you receive. Will definitely be back here soon! read more

I recently tried Shadow Wagyu in Coral Gables, and the Wagyu burger was really good! The patty was super thick, juicy, and cooked perfectly, with a lot of flavor. You can definitely tell it's a heartier, higher-quality burger, and it was very filling. We went on a Saturday and it was pretty busy, so keep that in mind. Parking can also be a little difficult since their lot is very small. There are some other parking areas nearby, but definitely pay attention to the signs because you could risk getting towed. Overall, I really enjoyed the burger and would definitely come back to try some of the other items on the menu! read more

OUTSTANDING, unique dining experience at this so called 'butcher shop'. Seats approximately 25 people and must go at right hours or you'll find yourself waiting ... for their outstanding perfectly seasoned and cooked wagyu meat items and some exceptional side items. So far (3 visits) I've tried the VACA FRITA, Lomo Saltado, Skirt steak/Churasco (no chimichurri nor additional seasoning required) and finally tried the half-pound Wagyu Cheeseburger that they're known for. ALL DELICIOUS, buttery, lean and tender. Loved the mushroom side dish as well as the Hearts of Palm Salad. Service is very good. Great vibe and tunes and people there are cool. They got a great 'recipe for success' (pun intended). Parking can be a bit tricky but same can be said about many places. I've recommended to many people and they've all been pretty happy. In the words of that great philosopher, Arnold Schwarzenegger, "I'LL BE BACK"! read more

I went to Shadow Wagyu with my friend the other day and let me tell you... do NOT be deceived by the char. This steak was bursting with flavor and I got it medium rare. The outside isn't just a char, it's blackened seasoning that adds for extra flavor. There's so many hidden gems on my bucket list but I would definitely go back. Also the fries were not too crispy or too soft, they had an interesting texture. The service was good. Keep in mind there is limited seating and parking. It's very hole in the wall setting but that also adds to the appeal. read more

First time at Shadow Wagyu and we loved it! Great concept with the butcher shop, dine-in, and takeout all together. It's a smaller spot with both indoor and outdoor seating, which gave it a really nice atmosphere. The classic Wagyu burger and fries were amazing, and the hamachi sashimi was super fresh. Alex, Alan, and the whole team were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and accommodating. You can tell everyone enjoys working there, which made the experience even better. read more

Shadow Wagyu is incredible, but keep in mind they are primarily a butcher shop, not a traditional restaurant, so seating is very limited. The price for the quality and amount of food you get is unbeatable. The Order: * The Burger: One of the best I have ever had in Miami. Incredibly juicy. * Fries and Sauce: Awesome. They serve them with a side sauce that tastes like a perfect mix of Japanese mayo and ketchup. * Steak Frites: 10/10. Absolutely delicious. Overall, this is a must visit spot and a genuinely great experience. I am 100% coming back. read more

One of the best hamburgers I've ever had in my life!!!! I keep bringing different friends here and they also say the same thing - WOW.

I'd heard of the place but honestly had no idea where it was and well honestly what the big deal was ... A friend invited me last Thursday for lunch, we waited about 30 minutes for table and well it was well worth the wait !!! We started off with the hamachi (yes we ordered fish at a restaurant for beef) but don't underestimate how amazing it was !!! Order it !!! Then we split the fried cheese, a burger and a filet to say we were full is an understatement. Oh and lo forgot to mention the bottle of wine !! Which surprisingly was reasonably priced !! Overall if you're in the mood for some great beef, skip some of the overpriced steakhouses and enjoy this place you won't regret it !! Just have patience waiting for a table - next time I want the vaca frita o lomo salteado read more

I love this place. Water find beautiful small little Resturaunt tucked away you know shopping center. I'm telling you the beef is so good so tender and amazing. I had the Lomo saltado then my wife had a burger. Both were excellent. You might find it really hard to get in here at certain times... the time we got here it was pretty crowded and there is no seating The host was gonna turn us away, but I don't know if it was the manager or the owner of the restaurant gladly took us in until this to give him maybe a few minutes we sat at a bar facing a wall and meant a beautiful young soul there. The experience was great. Food was excellent accommodating. Energy was well met with great food. Will definitely stop by here again when in the area. read more

I had been searching for the best burger in Miami for four years when I was lucky enough to try Shadow Wagyu and confidently say my search was over. As a lover of a thick and juicy burger in comparison to the common smash burger taking over the Miami Food scene, Shadow Wagyu truly feels like a breath of fresh air. Paired with their fries and the perfect cup of red wine, this place is the kind of elevated butcher-shop burger experience a meat lover can only dream of. If you think it stops there, their wings are some of my favorite in the city. They truly know their way around a piece of meat, which is unquestionable given the quality of each piece, the knowledge of each team member, and the flavor in every bite. If you love a burger, you cannot leave the city before trying Shadow Wagyu. And a little tip, even if you're someone who likes their meat more on the well-done side, I strongly suggest you get yours medium-rare. The juiciness when you cut into it will be something you'll gush over everytime you think of the word burger for years to come. Whether its for brunch, lunch or dinner, Shadow Wagyu is a must for any and all meat lovers in town. read more

Definitely great food. They have the know-how and equipment to do justice to the steak: nicely charred on the outside and super tender inside. The menu is very limited. Yes there are a few non-beef items but someone who doesn't eat beef will likely prefer eating elsewhere. However, if you love beef, welcome, welcome, welcome!! It's a small place with a few small tables (for two) and a long table in the center which can accommodate a larger group or shared among several. I really recommend coming with a few of friends so you can share a good rib eye or tomahawk, as well as sharing some of their delicious appetizers and sides. The salad, mushrooms and fries are all very good. Price wise it's not exactly cheap. Because, you get what you pay for. If you compare apple to apple, then you'll realize what a great price it is. Especially for the steaks, they charge you by weight and add a very modest cooking fee. The same steak will definitely cost you a lot more in a proper steak house. Now, a proper steak house will have fancier (though not necessarily better) service and not have you eating wagyu sitting on a stool, out of a disposable plate. But if you can do without the bells and whistles and just want to spend money on where it counts, you won't be disappointed. Parking wise, if you are lucky you can snatch a free parking spot in the strip mall, if not there is paid parking nearby. read more

This place is beyond amazing, no wonder it gets packed. Warning the kitchen closes early at 8/8:30pm, they continue open until everyone leaves but no orders after that. There meats are so tender and cooked to perfection. My friends took me there for my birthday and I can't wait to go back again. The wine bottle selection is good and service is great. Parking is limited. The ambience is chill and relaxing, no need to go dressed up just because it's located in the Gables. They put some music as well. read more

I finally made it to Shadow Wagyu. And I say finally because we almost let not finding parking determine if we'd actually make it inside or not. There is a parking garage across the street so hopefully that'll save you some time circling the lot unlike us. The staff were so damn welcoming, friendly and inviting making it easy to want to revisit. We enjoyed a cold beer while we waited for our table which took all of 15 minutes on a Monday afternoon. We were seated inside their meat market and were amazed at the influx of guests coming in and out to purchase different cuts of meats; Wagyu, prime, all top of the line. We started with their short rib and I'm so happy we did. WOW! Flavorful and then some. The real reason we came was for their Wagyu cheesesteak at a whopping $50!!!! Which is only available 3 times out of the entire year. Was it worth it? It was very good and tender but not $50 good. The ambiance is low key and casual with a hardworking staff hustling and bustling making sure things are run smoothly. We'll be back to try more items on the menu. read more

Had a delicious and fun time here! Loved the atmosphere, was greeted at the door (i think by the owner).. super sweet guy. I loved how it was small and intimate, had no problem sitting on a Saturday afternoon, even though it was packed. We had the classic burger that came with lettuce, tomato, cheese, and i believe they said Japanese mayo. It was melt in your mouth delicious, real quality wagyu. For me the roll was a little too airy, i bet that meat would be delicious on a potato or onion roll. We split fries and the dipping aioli was delicious. They were out of the hamachi, otherwise we would have had that too. 10/10 read more

Shadow Wagyu has what I consider the best burger in Miami. It is cooked to perfection, the flavor is incredible, and the bread is just perfect. They always have special burgers on the menu, which I love because it means I get to try something new every time I go. The appetizers are just as good. The fried cheese with guava sauce tasted like childhood, and I still can't explain why. We also tried the Wagyu hot dog and the sausage was excellent. The ambience is chill and relaxed, and the servers treat you like you are a family friend, which is so nice to find in Miami. read more

This place was delicious! All I hear about lately are smash burgers, but this was even better than your average burger. 8 oz of Wagyu beef and sooo delicious. The fries are huge and are definitely a family size portion for sharing, must try cause they are delicious. The place is small so seating is limited but because we were only two there was a corner on the bar seating that was perfect and we were seating within 5 minutes at 12:15 during a work lunch. Great service overall and the food comes out super fast, so really works for a work lunch. Fries were amazingggg, def get them with the burger even if you have to take some home. The room we were seating in is the butcher shop so not super fancy but you know what you're coming for. Love the place and will be back for the steak frites I hear are amazing. read more

If you like burgers or steak this is a must visit restaurant!! This place serves up delicious wagyu beef in there dishes. The burger was SO juicy and tasty and definitely left me wanting more. The fries are seriously some of the best I could not stop eating them and with the sauce they give you... so tasty. If you like steak, the skirt steak was so delicious and juicy. I also am a very big fan of the broccoli as it was covered in a sauce that left you wanting more. This was a small restaurant but the employees are super nice and helpful. Parking is difficult as there are not many spots so you might have to park across the street. It is also connected to a shop where you can choose from an assortment of meats to take home and cook yourself or bring to the restaurant and they will cook for you. Overall this was definitely a 5 star location I highly recommend! read more

Aesthetically I saw the appeal and it was very clean with attentive service, to be fair there's no other option considering it seats 8 at least where we were sat. In practice however I cannot recommend any less save your money and time. The burger was flavorless unfortunately but juicy. The ribs were underwhelming and a relatively small portion and very fatty if that's your thing (it's not mine). The fries were our favorite part which is a shame cause it's an add-on. I think they use the fact that the meat is higher quality to skim on actual seasoning and thought of flavor profile. A shame was really excited but ultimately disappointed and underwhelmed. It makes for a good expensive Instagram picture. Price tag $96 including tip. read more

Shadow Wagyu - Miami's Wildest Steakhouse Fever Dream Walking into Shadow Wagyu feels like stepping into a steak-fueled hallucination--somewhere between a biker clubhouse, a late-night tattoo parlor, and a punk rock speakeasy that just so happens to serve some of the best beef in Miami. The walls are slathered in chaotic graffiti, glowing under dim, devil-may-care lighting that makes you wonder if the steak knives double as art tools after hours. Now, we only stopped here for lunch, but we will definitely be back for dinner soon. We started with the fried queso--a melty, golden crime against moderation, and we'd commit it again in a heartbeat. The vaca frita was a revelation: crispy, juicy, and packed with enough punch to make your abuela weep. The mushrooms were earthy, rich, and umami-loaded, like they'd been foraged in the dark corners of a delicious underworld. And then the steak frites--oh, the steak frites. Perfectly seared, buttery, and unapologetically bold, paired with fries that could stand on their own as a reason to return. Our server? Picture a cartoon character who wandered out of a graphic novel set in an underground meat rave--quirky, sharp, and totally on-brand for this place. Service was fun, fast, and full of personality. Shadow Wagyu doesn't whisper about flavor or aesthetics--it shouts, in neon and smoke and sizzle. It's not for everyone, but if you like your steak with a side of attitude and your ambiance dipped in chaos, this spot is pure magic. read more

I'm so excited to write this review because Shadow Wagyu absolutely lives up to the hype! This spot is where it's at! After hearing rave reviews, I finally made it over last weekend, and let me tell you...it's a solid 5 stars. I'd tried a few times before but always found it packed or caught the kitchen after closing, so getting in was a win in itself! We arrived around 7:30 pm and were seated right away. JP, our server, was incredible, super helpful, full of great recommendations, and just an awesome energy overall. You can tell he genuinely loves being part of this place and its vision. With football on in the background, my boyfriend (a die-hard FSU fan) was in his element. We ordered the classic burger with tallow fries, my new obsession! Along with the wagyu skirt steak with broccolini and a side of chicken wings to complete the football vibe. When I say everything was perfect, I mean it. They nailed every detail! The steak melted in our mouths, the wings were packed with flavor, the fries were perfectly crisp, and the burger? Absolute perfection. Shadow Wagyu is officially my new go-to spot, and I can't wait to make it a weekly tradition. It's worth every bite! read more

Stumbled across shadow wagyu my last day in Miami and I'm bummed I didn't find it sooner in my trip because I would have totally went back and tried more things on the menu. The service was great. The restaurant itself was small but had a lot of character. A lot of nice cars parked out front so you know if the ballers are eating there? The foods good. I had the wagyu burger cooked to medium, it was perfectly cooked. Juicy af but not to the point where it's leaking everywhere and making the bread soggy. 5/5 Wagyu fries, perfectly cooked and seasoned 5/5 I'll def make my way back there next time in MIA. read more

My fav place to go for steak. Not only are all of their steaks (including the burger) amazing, I love their wine selection. They have amazing wines (that you wouldnt expect, given the unpretentious vibes). We got lucky and snagged a table on Friday around 5:30 pm! It was our first time trying Shadow Wagyu after hearing so many good things from friends. We ordered the cheese burger, wagyu steak frites and an extra order of fries. My boyfriend ordered 2 different beers and commented on how much he liked that they had different beers than most restaurants. The burger came first and it was cooked perfectly & so juicy! We loved that the bun was fluffy and light. The steak frites is a must order, my boyfriend and I shared it because the steak was pretty big. It was super juicy, flavorful and tender. The fries were some of the best I've had in Miami, I REALLY loved them. I appreciate this place so much as someone who is conscious about my health so I love that they use beef tallow to fry! I recently discovered Shadow Wagyu when out for Sunday Funday with one of my friends. We were driving around trying to figure out what to eat when the topic of burgers came up. She immediately mentioned that Shadow Wagyu has the best burger in town, so off we went. We were seated upon arrival and the service was perfect. The menu itself isn't very extensive which I always see as a good sign because less is more and I believe in quality over quantity. The ambiance was casual and relatively quiet. We ordered the heart of palm salad which was great, even though I normally don't like heart of palm. We each had a a cheeseburger and shared the wagyu fries. The burgers and the wagyu fries were both amazing. I'd absolutely go back to Shadow Wagyu and if you like meat in general, I suggest you pay them a visit! read more

Shadow Wagyu might be the best restaurant in Coral Gables. The vibe is unmatched. It's a friendly, casual place with better steaks than any place that makes you dress up; served by some of the nicest human beings in all of Miami-Dade. The butcher shop steaks cook so well on any BBQ at home and are the star of any show. My personal favorite is the ribeye but you can never go wrong with an outside skirt steak. They also make delicious sauces that you can take home. The restaurant itself though is a must try. The steaks are cooked perfectly and everything is cooked in that delicious wagyu fat.. The prices are very very reasonable for the quality of meat that you get here. It is not even on the same playing field as any other wagyu meat you have eaten in Miami, FL, or maybe even the United States as a whole. The meat just melts in your mouth.. and so do the fries, and that delicious fried cheese. Highly recommend the steak frites. It comes with that delicious outside skirt steak that is cooked to perfection. That being said, I am a lover of cheeseburgers. I have had almost all and will make the drive to taste them. I will gladly debate this subject with any other burger connoisseur; however, Shadow has the best burger, period. No burger compares. Shadow also has awesome wines, awesome service and an unparalleled vibe. If you haven't been, you're missing out. read more
