I have always enjoyed the food and service at the Cheese Course and was so happy they finally reopened after being closed during the lockdown. This morning though , my friend and I came at 11AM for Lunch. The door was closed even though the sign says "open at 11:00 AM " and this is on Saturday. Looking inside, we saw an employee at the counter who did her best to not see and acknowledge us . We waited outside for 10 minutes then she went to the kitchen and disappeared from view . She could at least acknowledge us and tell us it would take a few minutes more to open and we would be satisfied. We finally left feeling that our patronage is really not that important nor needed. read more

Came during Valentines Day because we wanted to do something chill and low key. Place was not packed at all. They have a very big selection of cold meats, cheeses and wine. They also have a menu with sandwiches and salads and soups. We had bought a Groupon for a cheese fondue and two glasses of wine. The fondue comes with bread, veggies and grapes. You have the option to add meat but we chose not to. You can choose any white or red wine. I had the Chardonnay and hubby had a merlot. Both were pretty delicious. The food is good and everything is reasonably priced, but a couple of things irritated me so much that I had to give them 2 stars. 1. I ordered a bottle of wine. The server came to the table with a bottle that was open. Although it was full, this is NOT the way to serve a bottle of wine. It should be opened at the table. So, I asked the server to bring us an unopened bottle. She walked to her co-worker and they were whispering. She then had the nerve to come back with THE SAME BOTTLE except with the cork pushed in. Insulting. As a result of this rudeness, I walked next door to CVS, bought my own bottle, and brought it back to the restaurant and drank it instead of ordering from them again. 2. Honestly the best sandwich's I have ever had! And a very cozy relaxed environment, along with excellent service provided by very friendly people like the manager Jorge! Very nice guy, he went out of his way to make sure I was happy and made sure I enjoyed my food. I really like the salmon sandwich and the Black Forest ham with bacon! The soups are amazing and the brownies are delicious. Definitely eat at this place, it has me coming back for more. 10/10 read more

I first fell in love with the cheese course when I discovered it in the Weston town center. It's an awesome excuse to have wine with lunch! Also, who doesn't love cheese??? I can't be friends with those people. They have salads, soups, cheese plates, and goodies you can buy throughout the store. It just so happens that they have opened a second cheese course in pinecrest which is fantastic because it's close to home. The service is great, I walked in today and was immediately asked if I needed help ordering. The restaurant is cozy and inviting. I have yet to order something that I didn't like. Came here because another restaurant was busy and there was no wait here. It was perfect. The service was quick and easy. We ordered the cheese fondue which is made from gruyere and swiss cheese. We asked for more veges instead of potatoes and they switched it with no charge. We picked the saucisson sec and ending up ordering a second meat as well. It was the perfect amount of food for a really affordable price. I have never been to the melting pot but I always hear that it is expensive. The Cheese Course comes to Pinecrest! I wonder what took so long; if there was ever an area ripe for this kind of sandwich/cheese shop, this is it. Just like any other Cheese Course store, there are cheeses, jellies, jams and whatnot for sale, the tables lined with various cheese publications. I had no idea there are so many periodicals devoted to cheese. Sandwich-wise, the menu lists the exact same sandwiches you know and love from the other locations. My favorite is probably the #7 Prosciutto di Parma sandwich with the pesto on a whole wheat baguette. What this location lacks is the serene garden-like outside seating of the Midtown location. There's no getting around that, no trellises and flower boxes here - it's not possible, doesn't have the real estate. Oh well. Now that this store is open, I'm not going to drive to Midtown just for outside seating. read more

I love The Cheese Course! Admittedly,the Midtown location is my favorite (it was my first AND it has BEAUTIFUL outdoor seating - win win.) But, the Pinecrest location being closer to my house makes it my home away from home. Had I emerged from under the rock sooner, I'd easily have 50+ check ins here and 100+ at the Midtown location. Its this and Robeks! ;) The Pinecrest location is on US1 off of Killian in the Suniland shopping center. Look for Flanigans, Eurpean Wax Center and a Nose for Clothes (wth?) They have Thursday specials called "Siply Thursday" $3 glass of house wine, $9 bottle of house wine and $3 craft beers on Thursdays from 5pm-10pm (close). They were also running this special today for Father's Day. So I got to try a new cider (new to me) called Samuel Smith's Organic Apple Cider 5%ABV. Regularly $5, but $3 today! I was ECSTATIC to see a Cider in their craft beer lineup because I had never spotted one before. I hope they'll always have it! Speaking of hopes and cheese dreams...I was extremely saddened when the (very nice) girl who helped me answered my question regarding the almost barren cheese fridges. Yes, this is the new lineup she said. Something tl do with the demographics of the area and the low sales. I figured. But I was wishing and praying that it wasn't true. There used to be dozens of cheese per catergory. But I understand, cheese is a very perishable item. And having too many options/inventory increases waste when certain stock doesn't sell. Found this place by accident while we waited to eat next door at the Japanese bbq place. Came here for some cheese and beers before we ate. Very nice place to come and talk quietly (kinda like being in a library). Enjoy some cheese we tried the manchego and the aged parmesan. It comes with a fig spread and a sun-dried tomato spread along with some toasted baguette and grapes. We ordered a few modelo dark beers as the selection could improve a bit . I should have written this review a long time ago. My family and I love this place! It a cheese lovers paradise. We have tried salads, platters, and sandwiches. Not one dish has let us down. For salads, strongly recommend the french field of greens. For platters, it really depends on taste, but the American and French platters are both really good. If you are really into cheese, these platters have some great "stinky" cheeses. For sandwiches, the classic cheddar melt, the grilled chicken breast (my favorite), the prosciutto di Parma, and the applewood bacon (my wife's favorite) are all delicious. You can order any sandwich with white or wheat baguette. The recently got their liquor license so you can now enjoy a glass of wine or a cold beer. It's a counter style place so there are no waiters, but the staff is very good and friendly. This place will not let you down. read more

This Saturday I encountered a poorly trained store manager at The Cheese Course in Pinecrest. I am a disabled person who requires a trained (and well-identified) service dog. I went into the shop and asked for help in selecting two small cheeses, some pates and crackers for an intimate dinner that evening. This woman (manager) asks me to leave as NO animals, including service animals, are allowed. I politely correct her and insist that she's been given incorrect advice allegedly by her non-present supervisor. After some terse back and forth, and because I was only buying cheese to go (the place was empty at 12:30 pm) she would serve me. When I selected 2 cheeses she asked me and my dog to stand in a corner of the restaurant while she had someone slice my pate selections. While I very much enjoyed my soft blue cheese, the crackers and the pate, well take our business to Whole Foods and Milan's who treat us with courtesy and respect! The service and the fondue were both amazing. I wish I would've gotten the server's name (she had blonde hair and wore buns the day of our visit) because she made our first time here very enjoyable. She was really patient and efficient in explaining the menu. The fondue was incredibly tasty and very generous in portion size. Who doesn't like a nice cheese paired with some wine, crusty bread and fruit? that question is answered at this place which is a chain but does not feel like one. The one I frequent is in a strip shopping center that actually has a few pretty good restaurants including sushi rock and Flanigan's. The interior is welcoming with a vibe somwhere between a French bistro and a shop. There are tables all around including a large Provence style comunal table, a refrigerated case along one side with their selection of cheeses and cold cuts and a register in the middle. Before you would order at the register and your food was brought to you. At his location they now have table service where you sit and order like a traditional restaurant. I much prefer that. They have a more varied menu than you would expect with some very good soups, excellent salads, and sandwiches that make you realize that subway is a joke. The star menu item to me are the cheese plates.They all include 3 cheeses, some fruit and bread. For a bit more you can add either meat (prosciutto, Serrano ham, smoked salmon) or better yet their pate. I have been to the dordogne multiple times and find this pate to be on a par with what you would get there. If you have not been this the region of France where goose liver is The thing. You can either get one of their perfectly paired cheese plates or make your own by choosing the cheeses. Either way you can't go wrong. Ps one board with meat is a meal for 2. The house wine is pretty cheap and ok nothing to write home about. The midtown location has very nice outdoor seating area so for more ambiance head here. You can also purchase some really nice cheeses for less than they charge at publix. read more

My child accidentally spilled her soda. Manager came over and put several paper towels on table. Then he walked away. Soda all over table, all on chair, all on me, all on floor. Fifteen minutes passed. Still soda everywhere. I went to manager who was standing three feet away on his phone. I asked if he planned on completing the task. He said sure. Kept on his phone. I explained that that was not what should be happening. He said sorry. Still on his phone. I asked if his phone was more important he said yes it was. Several waitresses nearby, no interest in situation. Cleaning empty cleared tables. When my voice raised he finally came over and began doing something. By something I mean he brought over a broom.
