We ordered from Amy's during Wild Card Football weekend- a little treat for dinner during playoffs. We ordered online for delivery to our home. 45 min they said. $65 for 2 meals and an appetizer. An hour later, food hadn't arrived. Happened to look outside and realized our food was left out on our front porch- no knock, didn't ring the bell, no text, just sitting out there in the rain and cold. Got said meals inside- everything cold and no rice or utensils for anything. Called the restaurant to inquire & were told 'rice is an extra purchase, read the whole menu next time.' Haven't ever seen meals come without steamed rice, or if so then THE MENU SPECIFIED AS SUCH. So rude, poor service, over-priced, and poor quality food. I came for a quick lunch. The person who greeted me was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the lunch special which is served between 11am and 3pm, Monday through Friday. You get fried or white rice, an entree of your choice, and hot and sour soup. It was all so very fresh and delicious. Price varies according to what entree. I got the Kung Pao Chicken. Super friendly owner with an affordable yet delicious feast. We ordered the Dinner B on Memorial Day weekend which came with Mongolian Beef and Orange Chicken, two egg rolls, BBQ pork fried rice and a big bowl of hot and sour soup. Everything arrived in a timely manner, and the gentleman brought us some complementary crab cheese Rangoon. What made this place unique was the tomatoes in the hot and sour soup (a nice way to balance the hot, sour, and salt, and the sweet and sour glazed BBQ pork in the fried rice. We had enough food to feed 4, but ended up eating it all. If we pass through this neighborhood again, we'll definitely be sure to stop by Amy's. read more

Great Chinese food for the area. It's really hard to find good Chinese food in Sonoma county. The vegetables were fresh and not over cooked. Just the right amount of seasoning, not overly salted, which is key for my taste. Hong Kong crispy noodles and the vegetable fried rice were my favorites. Pretty dang good! We ordered the pineapple walnut chicken, pork buns, green bean beef, and pot stickers. The chicken and the beef were just perfect. Very classic and very flavorful. The pork buns were ok, not great. A lot of dough but the meat was flavored well. The pot stickers were a little more dumpling like, but really tasty. They gave us complimentary crab rangoons, which I am allergic to, but my husband loved. Was a nice gesture. Only giving 4 starts because of the pot stickers and pork buns. Maybe I'm too picky tho I love the ones I can get in SF. Otherwise amazing meal and will definitely go here again read more

Years ago, this spot used to be a very good Korean restaurant. When they closed, I was disappointed but understood that the economics of restaurant ownership are quite difficult. I gave Amy's a try around the time they first opened, and then again later on. I was left unfulfilled both times. The food was pretty bad. Years went by and I avoided the location in favor of other Chinese restaurants in the area. When I was looking for lunch today, I was pleasantly surprised to see this place with a 4.5 star average. Wow! I ordered a lunch special with Mongolian beef and chow mein. It came with hot and sour soup. It was ready quickly and I paid inside the restaurant upon pickup. $12 plus $3 tip made for a very averagely-priced $15 lunch. To start with the chow mein: The consistency of the noodles was good. They were very greasy and lacked in flavor. The Mongolian beef had a similar story: good texture and consistency, but underwhelming flavor. The hot and sour soup was good. Very hearty with plenty of egg and veggies. Average/good amount of spice though not very sour. The fried wonton crisp and the sweet sauce were just "meh." The fried wonton was pale and slightly soggy. On the whole, Amy's isn't as bad as I remember it being, but it certainly isn't very good either. For truly excellent Chinese food in Cotati, I recommend China Village. Tons of flavor, lots of variety. Skip Amy's unless it's your only option. read more

I went to this place because it had good reviews, but I was unfortunately disappointed. I had the potstickers and chicken chowmein (which were about $23). There was so much grease that the box they gave me to carry the food started leaking. The food was alright, but not the best. Kind of lacking flavor and I couldn't get past the greasiness. Maybe I'll give them another chance, the staff was nice, and I felt bad since they were completely empty during lunch time. read more

While it doesn't live up to the high reviews--it's "not bad". It's extremely challenging to find restaurants where everything is on point. I'd say they have their velveted meat technique down. However the seasonings were lacking and I had to use a salt shaker which should not have been the case. The vegetables were a bit over-cooked. They should have been more crunchy. The Singapore noodles were a little too soft. They're better when they're stir fried/sautéed longer to a more dry state than a wet texture. Needed salt and should have used more curry. Even a teaspoon would have made it so much better since curry is the main flavor profile. And there isn't that much curry in the original recipe as it is. This was just enough to color the dish, not to impart flavor. Beef and broccoli was bland. Just needed attention to basic seasoning. Tofu was fine but also needed basic seasoning. Do I recommend this place? Sure. It's ok food that supports a family that will fill your stomach. Just don't expect anything spectacular. Be prepared to spend $$. We ordered lunch for my office on the recommendation of one of my coworkers who was the only person in the office craving Chinese food. I was like ok cool, Ill have whatever. The food was great! I didn't specifically order anything I just knew Id be picking out of all the other boxes ordered by everyone else. The Wonton Soup was superb and I had two bowls of it because everyone else didn't want any more. It was that good. My other favorite was the Walnut Prawns and the Crab Puff. I just cant enough of Crab Puffs.We also ordered extra Pancakes with sauce. So good! Apparently, they have a super easy online ordering system. The food was ordered and ready before we knew it. So I asked my twin boys what they liked the best. Answer: the chicken, well, the beef, and the shrimp, and the pork bun. So-apparently 2 thumbs up from 2 kids. Pork buns were warm, tender, flavorful. Veggies and noodles in Chow Mein held their individual flavors suggesting freshness. Beef and chicken were tender and not drab, cheap cuts of meat. Found a new favorite. Thank you. (Oh. So terribly disappointed in the food I picked up. Had not been here for several years and used to love their food but I am sad to say, I won't be back. Half the wontons were soggy and greasy and so chewy, not crispy. The chicken fried rice was oily and not flavorful. The portions are good and the food was ready early. I used their online order system and did not get updates so walked in early and food was hot. Absolutely cannot recommend anymore and I feel bad saying this. read more
