Very delicious food!! The bread appetizer is fun! Our first time we saw it being fired in the oven as we sat at the bar. Watching the staff work all the pizzas and breads was fun lol and of course made us want to try everything they were making. Their pizza crust is yummy and soft pull aparty and was cooked perfectly. We had High Tea at Dove Mountain hosted by Vero Amore Dove Mountain. They serve high tea every Saturday from 2p-4p. There were 5 tables with 12 guests. The service was buffet with quiches, Tea sandwiches, scones, and brownies. There was a choice of 3 different teas, green, black or floral. The scones were the favorite served with clotted cream and jam. The tea sandwiches were cucumber, salmon, and egg. Since it was buffet, you could eat as much as you wanted. Great background music... This place is just plain awesome! I have to say it was some of the best tasting pizza I have ever had. Service and price was real good as well. We got appetizers of baked bread and meatballs. The pizza was great! Can't go wrong with wood fire pizza! However the pasta was okay. I ordered The Mediterranean pasta. It's a creamy pesto base with bow tie pasta, pinenuts, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, and chicken and I'm sure there's a couple other ingredients that I missing. It was pretty bland it didn't have much flavor Considering all the appetizing things that are in it. The chicken was pretty disappointing it looked like it had grill marks but it didn't taste like it was grilled at all. The chicken tastes like it comes in frozen with the grill marks and they just put it on a flat top or something to heat it up. I mean I'm not back in the kitchen I don't know how they officially cook anything but that's just how it tasted and it wasn't seasoned chicken at all. Here is a shout out to Vero Amore. After being turned away from a local high-end resort due to COVID-19 restrictions we happily returned to Vero Amore. You will find dinner prices at half the price of the high-end resorts Happy Hour prices with the selection ten times greater at Vero Amore. We love Vero Amore's pizza selections. Two of my favorites from the dinner menu are Prosciutto Caprese salad and Shrimp fra-diavolo. The sunset views from Vero Amore's patio are breath taking. From now on our restaurant of choice is when dining on Dove Mountain is Vero Amore. read more

My favorite pizza place! We ordered every Friday night during the beginning of the pandemic and still order from here regularly. Love the wood fired taste! Our favorites are the sausage and the arugula and prosciutto. Staff is friendly and helpful. Ordered food to go. We got the garlic cheese bread, meatball linguini, and the chicken picatta. Wasn't exactly impressed. I received little to no pasta with the chicken picatta. The chicken was rubbery, and still slightly pink. For a "House Specialty" I expected more. Definitely subpar. What made it even worse was that I found a piece of plastic in my food. My husband wasn't a fan of the sauce for his meatball linguini. He said the wine in the sauce was very prominent, but that's just preference. Meatballs were very filling though! Our waiter was taking selfies of himself, eating in front of customers, and just standing around talking. Our waiter didn't even come by to see if we needed anything else. I know a lot of people in town love Vero Amore, and I thought it was a good pie, but I felt it was overpriced. When we came in, we were greeted by two people who didn't seem to know what was going on. It was busy, and there were a handful of open tables, and they ultimately let us choose where to sit. I think they have crammed one too many tables in, because it was a tight fit once someone sat next to us. I had to move our table to leave without disturbing anyone. Our server was really nice, and several others stopped by to ask if we needed anything or refill our drinks. She might have had too many tables, because she did forget a couple things. She also wasn't really clear on how large the pizzas were when we asked. Wine and beer list seemed okay; maybe I should come during happy hour. The food was good. My fiance and I shared a cobb salad and each got our own pie. The salad was good, and my Lussuria was tasty. The red pepper gave it quite the kick! Though the pizza was good, it's seems very similar to other wood-fired pies and not above or beyond. The crust had a nice chewiness. I would likely rate Vero Amore four stars, but I feel it's overpriced. We both got waters, split a salad, and had our pizzas, and we spent more than $50. While I would say this is nicer than your average pizza parlor, I didn't feel the food was quite worth it. read more

I would give this place ZERO STARS if possible. My family placed an order online after calling to make sure that they were taking orders tonight. The order was placed and an email confirming that our order would take an hour to process was received. We waited and then our son went to pick up our order. He was informed that our order was cancelled and that they did not make the order. I had received an email confirming the order, but NOTHING about it being cancelled. They stated that they tried to call me, but that they did not get me. The manager on duty was not only unsympathetic, but was happy to say that they would not charge me for food that we did not receive! I absolutely loved this place. The drinks were amazing and very fair priced- manhattan and a martini. They were out of rolls for the night so they gave us a free appetizer of their oven baked bread with olive oil and pesto butter. WOW. So good. Both meals won't date and I got were incredibly tasty and well priced - eggplant Parmesan and the pasta pomodora with fra diablo sauce. For dessert we got the chocolate chip cookie and tiramisu. Got dinner delivered. I ordered the Chicken Mimosa. Three comments. 1) The chicken is not browned at all. It says it should be sautéed in the description. Why is it pure white? It's like it was boiled. 2) The sauce has a strong sweet taste, almost like white wine. It overpowers the other flavors. I don't know if it's wine for sure, but if it is, it wasn't cooked right. 3) The sauce doesn't seem thickened at all. If it's cream, it should already be thick, yet it seemed runny. It didn't hold the dish together. Like the other ingredients were floating in a pool of the runny sauce. In conclusion, the food isn't bad, but I would think if you're paying for restaurant food, it should be better than something you could cook at home. read more

I went here last night with coworkers for a business meal. The service was outstanding. We had several rounds of drinks, each was delivered fast and with precise attention to detail. The pizzas are a good size for one person to have as a meal or for two people to share if you just want a taste of pizza to accompany you entree. Each was great. My wife and I recently returned for lunch here. We're just not ready to give up! Nikki served us and did an excellent job. We have had her serve us before and she is the second of our two favorites. They have stabilized their menu and the panini's are back. Yea! We did not order a pasta meal to see if bread was served with the meal or not. This place is one of my favorite pizza places around town. They have thin crust pizza down. My husband is from New York and is pretty picky when it comes to pizza, so finding a good pizza place is hard for us. We really like coming here since they have a playground right next to the restaurant. We normally eat outside so the kids can play and we can watch them while we wait for our food time come. Since our kids are pretty picky we normally get the pepperoni pizza and a salad. We enjoy both. I would love to try their other foods and have heard since great things about it. The salad is large enough to share. If we didn't get the salad the 1 pizza would not be enough for all of us. Most of the time we do not have any left overs because the pizza is just enough for us. My kids are pretty young and don't eat much. It is only a matter of time when we will have to order 2 or maybe then I can try something different. The service has always been great and attentive. The first time we tried this place and were disappointed. Italian is usually very fresh and good. I ordered chicken marsala and it tasted okay while eating the dish. However, I got very sick after leaving this restaurant. Food Poison symptoms to the point I had to cut my evening short. My friend ordered lasagna and it was served cold, asked to reheat it, and she said it was just lukewarm in the middle of the dish. No bread was offered up front and the parm cheese was given to us in small individual plastic-to-go cups. (what happen to fresh parm cheese on the dish?) Will not be returning to say the least. This place used to be very good. Now it is apparent that they just don't care. I ordered a $14.00 lasagna. It came out 3"x3", and nothing else. I knew I would be hungry so I asked for some bread. I received some rolls from costco. They have a burning wood fired pizza oven!!! They have employees standing around doing nothing, and yet some flour, water, olive oil and yeast and they could be making some bread to go with their meals. Basically free of cost to the restaurant. The food I ordered tonight was awful! I asked 3 people about this place before I ordered and they all gave thumbs up. I have a great palette for food and this was not enjoyable at all!!! My pedigree consist of a line of chefs. The presentation was awful. The calamari was overcooked, burned and tasted like it was cooked in old grease.
