Came here for the first time as a walk in. Employee that greeted me was super friendly. The employee that did my pedicure and manicure, not so much. I chose basic pedicure - I've paid for more expensive and usually there is no difference - and employee seemed annoyed I didn't want to spend $5 more for sugar scrub. The description of the basic pedicure was callous and dead skin removal, which was barely done. Still have dead skin on my feet. I also asked twice for gel polish on my toes which she did not do. Moved on to manicure and it looks mostly ok but a few nails were not filed straight. Would not go back. read more

*****Kylie the owner is rude.***** She was upset that I asked for 3 coats of the gel color because the 2 coats she had already applied was transparent in a few spots. After arguing with me and telling me I didnt need a third coat, She hurried up and put the third coat on and I could tell immediately that she was irritated and annoyed with me after I asked for 3rd coat of color. After she was finished applying the color she abruptly got up and walked away to the back of the store. Her husband checked me out and thanked me. Her husband was very nice and professional and could tell that his wife was being rude and not professional. Disappointed because the location is super convenient for me but after being treated like that I will never go back. I have been getting my hails done every 2 weeks for the past 10 plus years and have no problem speaking up at the time of my service if I'm not happy with something. What I was asking her to do was not unreasonable or me being picky. I have many friends and acquaintances through work that get their nails done on a regular basis and I have told them about my experience and how I do not recommend her or care for her snotty demeanor. I went in today to have my gel polish changed on my own nails and it cost me $40 I waited for 30 minutes for someone to get to me the tech then ask if I want a manicure, they tell me it will be $35 with the gel polish, I agreed to this. The tech then starts to polish my nails and tells me because I'm having one finger with an accent color that it's now $40, I had chosen the polish as soon as they seated me so they knew what I was wanting but now decided after the manicure up charge it's more because of the accent color. What a complete rip off! It was not as if they did a design or any art they literally only polished my nails. I just checked my bank account and I'm now seeing a charge for $41 waiting to be processed so I'll be calling to find out what the additional charge is now for. My suggestion to any customers is be prepared for the price to change multiple times after they have already quoted you a price. Bad bad business in my eyes and obviously won't return. read more

The woman who started my manicure was rough and did a terrible job shaping my nails. She cut my pinky and it was bleeding the whole time. A man finished my polish and it's bumpy and has bubbles in the finish. I don't know if there was debris or something wrong with the polish. I have previously had a good experience at this salon, but yesterday that was not the case. I guess the manicurist was mad because I did not choose an expensive pedicure or gels. She rushed through the cuticles, hardly cleaning them up at all, barely did any callous work, got polish on the cuticles on my toes, and put the sugar scrub on my legs instead of my feet WHEN I SPECIFICALLY TOLD HER I DID NOT WANT THE SCRUB ON MY LEGS! I scrub my own legs in the shower! What I need is my feet scrubbed and exfoliated. And I told her that before she even started the manicure and and said it TWICE. Why is it so hard to follow simple requests from a customer? Giving three stars because this seems to be common practice at several salons - ignore the customer's instructions. They were too thick and she didn't take the time to prep my nails, so 3 days later my cuticles look horrible and some nails look like they already need a fill. Unfortunately I decided to try them out. Vivian, although nice, did a VERY poor job on my nails. First she couldn't find the color I chose and tried several until I finally gave up and settled for the closest one. Then she couldn't draw the design and I told her I'd rather not to any if that's so difficult. In addition, my nails ended up looking like it's been already a week since she painted them too far from the edge of the skin. Will never come back. In addition, look at the mess under the nails. I found Amity Nails a couple of years ago and couldn't be happier! I've been to other nail salons over the years and experienced about a 30% chip rate in a matter of a few days. Finding time for a mani/pedi can be enough of a challenge - I don't have extra time for fixes. Kylie is amazing! Her gel mani/pedi's just don't chip. She and her staff are always friendly and fun. She asked if they could please fix it and they painted it with the wrong color. My daughter didn't settle and asked that they repaint it with the correct color. My nails are chunky and fat. When I told her I didn't like them she got mad and gave me attitude and was mean. she Didn't even drill down the Arclic. also I told her my pointy finger was not straight and she tried to argue w me and said it was my fault. i do nails myself and these nails look identical to the ones I do my self ( I am not that good). i would not recommend going here. She asked if I wanted my toenails and fingernails trimmed or just filed which I've never had anyone ask so I'd always just cut my nails before I went to get them done. Made an appointment for 1230 for an acrylic fill in, and didn't even get touched until 130. Although this was frustrating, I made the appointment so I could save some time, I really needed my nails filled so I waited it out. This was my first time here, so I kept an open mind. The nail tech finally got to me, and began the process of removing my gel polish, shortening the nails, etc. As someone who has had acrylic nails for years, I noticed two major things: first, she didn't shave the nail thinner by the cuticles. So my nails ended up being one flat thick block. No roundness, nothing. When she was done "shaping" the nail and roughing it up for the gel polish, she jumped right into painting my nails- without having me wash my hands. All the powder was everywhere and I thought maybe she had just forgotten, so I asked "Wait, don't I need to wash my hands?" And she said nope. So needless to say, my polish didn't last more than a few days before it started chipping. Gel polish should last at least a week and a half in my experience, normally 2-3 weeks. She was inexperienced at painting nails, and got polish all over my cuticles (still picking it off) and all over my skin. It's less than one week later, and every single nail has chipped beyond repair. I will have to get an entirely new set, somewhere else. My tip would be don't waste your money here. read more

Ok, so I went back a second time to try a different tech. Same thing happened but worse. I explained at the very beginning, I don't want nail polish so if you could spend more time cleaning up my feet but mostly removing my cuticles. This time it was a 13 minute pedicure and they spend so much time pausing to talk to each other, no focusing on the customer occurred. She spent more time facing co-workers to chat and show pictures from cell phones, I wasn't surprised when she stopped at 13 minutes. She had her excuse for NOT working on my cuticles, that they would bleed. :-) ok, so she's not very experienced. Basically all they want to do is paint your nails aka (nail tech), and bling blink and touch touch... (did I do a good job)? NOOOOO... no tip, no 3 strikes, no pushing my cuticles down so they aren't seen by the customer, no baloney! Come'on, really? I had to get her attention 2 times during her more important things to do, to tell her to please clean them up more. And then again, touch touch, bling bling... done in her mind! Started to get out of pedi tub and she came back from a phone call conversation from front desk! I PAID FOR BAD SERVICE. I work hard for my money, THEY DO NOT. They are nice to each other and then speak in a foreign language amongst each other and probably about the customers. IT'S RUDE. read more
