I had a really pleasant experience here. I ended up getting snowed in in St. Louis and needed to get my nails done badly! I started calling local nail salons and none were open because of the snow...except Top Nails. There were only two techs working and Patty took care of me. She removed my old gel polish with acetone and foil as opposed to an e-file (a much preferred method) and she even fixed one of my cracked nails by covering it with dip acrylic at no additional charge. The manicure itself looks great. Patty was very pleasant to talk to and I felt she took her time on my manicure. I wish she were located in my home town, but I'll be stopping by whenever I'm in St. Louis. read more

Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. My pedicure was well done, a few spots on the toenails that could've been done better. My nails, however, are a catastrophe. I simply wanted my nails painted as I have very nice, natural nails. I didn't want to do anything that might damage them. While they were finishing my pedicure, another person came over to quickly paint my nails as they were starting to get more and more customers. There are spots on over half my nails that don't even have any polish on them. Very terrible, rushed job. Not sure I'd return due to this. read more

Top Nails was amazing! I've never been here before, but my friend and I wanted to meet somewhere between our houses so we found this place. They were incredibly friendly and clean! I had Don and Sony and they both did a great job and were incredible! We really got to relax and just catch up while they pampered us. Also, my nails have already lasted longer than they do at other places when I've gotten them done. No one tried to up sell me or shame me for being picky about some things. I absolutely would recommend this place to anyone! Just when we thought we were done, we left and they ran to get us waters. So thoughtful!!! Best experience ever!! read more

I was a walk-in customer and was taken care of immediately. All 4 staff were very welcoming as customers entered. Cindy did my pedicure and Patty did my natural nails manicure. Don gave me a pedicure and dipped nails. It was a horrible, rushed job as 2 of my dipped nails cracked within 3 days and the color was poorly dipped. He also didn't even out my nails. The entire job was unacceptable for the money that I paid. I will never be returning. read more

Sad to say I don't go here anymore, when patty was on vacation sonny did my nails very quickly and rushed and they began to fall off after 2 days, not break, fall off. Not to mention the wait... I didn't call in advance which was my fault, but when an older lady came in after me with no appointment got serviced first after I had been waiting for what he said was suppose to be 10 minutes turned into 30, I was pretty annoyed. I don't like leaving this negative review for a place with such a nice staff, but bad quality in service and product, big no no. read more

I had a terrible experience here! I am new to St. Louis and have been looking for a good salon for quite a while. I came across Top Nails on Yelp with good reviews. I went in for a mani/pedi and patti and her team were very nice. However, while getting my pedi, I was in pain from the scrubbing and later came home to see I had a cut above my heel! The lady next to me was also in pain as she kept mentioning how her feet were also hurting. I was rushed throughout the whole process. While cleaning my cuticles for both my feet and hands I also felt pain because of how fast he was going and pulling on my skin. I barely got to even soak my hands while getting my mani and had to ask multiple times for more layers of nail polish coating because I could still see my nail! I was then rushed off to dry my nails. I am so mad at the service I got. While drying my nails, I messed up my thumb and didn't even bother asking them to fix it as they were so busy with other customers. I went home and did it myself. I will never come back here again. read more

I did not like my nails the lady name Pattie did them the polish was sloppy and she rushed on them! Around my curticuls they were not neat and clean all, I told her I didnt want the natural look she did it anyway and made them shorter than what I asked for. She did them the way she wanted them done! My nails look lumpy and bloated on I paid $40 for a $21 quality of service .... I will never go back! Very disappointed read more

This was the absolute worst pedicure I have ever received and would never recommend or step foot back in this shop again. The entire experience was horrific. I was treated differently than the other customers who they greeted and were very pleasant to. Don could not have been ruder. He rushed my pedicure as if he were in a race to finish in record time. He was very rough on my feet. I told him twice to square off my large toe, however he did not listen. My punishment filing the skin on my both of my big toes instead of my nails leaving me with sore, tender blisters, at the top of each toe. The polish looks like it put on by a child and when I asked the owner Patti to address the roughness on my heel, she told me to go home and put lotion on. After reading other reviews, it seems that rushing through the service is commonplace for this shop as was as causing patron pain. There are so many choices of good nail salons - this one needs to be avoided. Additionally, there were not polite, did not even bother to thank me for patronizing their store. read more

I was treated different from any other customer at this place just today. I have never left a nail salon bleeding from multiple different nails. My left hand doesn't match my right hand. the worst part of it all is I walked in before this lady and they chose to help her first even though she arrived after me. instead of finishing my nails at the table like a normal salon, the woman I had doing my nails finished my nails while standing up and messed up a nail so I asked if I should go sit back at the table and she replied no. I continued to bleed and she told me it was because I applied pressure to it. the real reason is because she cut me with the tools she was using way too fast just to get to the next customer. all in all I left this place crying and in regret of doing my nails at all. Oh and I decided to get my nails done for the first time in 8 months at this place. if I had a five year old do my nails I would never be in this much pain. I was mistreated badly at this salon and I will never return to it as should nobody else. read more
