Super disappointed with the nails I got here. Was told I couldn't get almond shape bc my nails were too wide. Then I was told the nail tech could do what I showed, and she couldn't at all. I ended up asked for just a solid color on the one nail I wanted stripes on. You can see the color she initially tried to do on that nail underneath. Almost $100 nails and I just want to get them taken off! With that being said my daughter's nail tech was amazing and did really cute & detailed designs on hers. Oh no? What could improve? How much time do you have because I have quite a bit to say. I think the way the person is greeted upon walking in to an establishment should tell you everything you need to know. Case in point is when I made an appt and walk in only for these two young girls, whom I'm guessing are in high school, sitting down to the side of the front desk to greet me. Odd? Yes, because why aren't you actually at the front? I told them my name and the service I was here for. Out of nowhere this girl comes and asks me what I'm getting. I show her the design and she said I can go with her. We walk to her station, which reminded me of cubicles because they're all right next to each other. She starts taking off the nail polish and I noticed there's a sign on each desk asking to inquire of prices before services. I asked her how much it would be and she looked puzzled. Then she went to one of the other workers and asked him. She came back and told me $70. I was shocked! $70 for a fill-in? No ma'am! Initially I told her yes, but when I asked her to trim them down only a little (still wanted to keep the l shape but only make it a little shorter) she ended up doing way more and at that point I knew the design wouldn't look the same. I lost interest immediately and went back to browsing on my phone only to have her cut my cuticles on two different nails. It felt like they were on fire! At this point I'm livid, in pain, and couldn't wait to get out of there fast enough. When it came time to paint I told her to just give me a solid pink. She looked confused and I reiterated only a solid color. She then said ok, $45. You're joking, right? $45 dollars for a basic, and I do mean basic pink color with no lines, designs, nothing? It's egregious and down right laughable. I was so relieved when she finished and couldn't wait to get out of there. Overall, this visit reminded me of how someone goes into a barber shop and there's one barber who's dying for a client, but no one wants to sit in his chair. Perhaps it could have been different if I had another technician but the fact is, I didn't, she couldn't really communicate, I wasn't offered anything to drink and she cut my nails so short, I couldn't even do the design, and was grossly overcharged. I'm pretty simple, I've gone from gel to a normal manicure and pedicure but my normal visit is a lavender pedicure with regular polish. I've gone here maybe 5 times now, it is a hit or miss on how good of a set you get depending on who gives you service. Some workers give great quality, making sure each nail shape is equal in size and shape, creating a smooth surface with no bumps, asking questions on how you want it, etc. While some rush the process and try to get you out in under 20 minutes. The space is well decorated, with TVs, music, stimulating surrounding giving you a lot to look at and have the time pass nicely. Some of the nails I've gotten done either had my cuticles f^ked up, were odd shapes, odd colors that they used to accommodate for what they did not have. Improve how you treat people! If I could choose zero stars I would! I received two services, dip and nail polish change on my feet. My nails turned out nice, despite the rush service! The polish change on my feet required the need to redirect her attention to several areas, crocked filing, and several unpolished areas! I noticed she was not polishing to the cuticle which made it look like I needed another fill! When I pointed it out while drying, the lady said they couldn't polish to the cuticle because I didn't get a pedicure therefore it wouldn't look right?? Her attitude was terrible and instead of fixing it, she opted to give me my money back. She refunded me $10 which the polish change was $15, when I asked for an itemized receipt she went back to the register she stated she will give me back $5 but that will include her removing the polish from my toes??? You gotta be kidding me!! Now that would mean I would allow you to do that right!!! Never! I didn't come in there with no polish on my feet! I'll be disputing this entire charge including the 15% tip I left! I'm tired of their attitudes and never being able to take correction even when delivered respectfully! We checked in and followed the simple instructions on the small dry erase board on the counter: sign in on the sheet and select your nail color. After just a few minutes, we were escorted back to two adjacent chairs. The inside has modern decor. The massage chairs were comfortable and adjustable for my longer legs- really appreciated that! It was painful. My nail beds are swollen and cut. Every time she would use the electric file, it got really hot and it burned. I asked for Gel and she insisted in dip. I hate them. They are not filed down and they look swollen and puffy. Thats just the nails. My pedicure cost me $65(classic pedi $35, Gel $20, french tip $10). The french tip is literally a line on some toes and not even all the way to the other end. She was terrible and should not be doing this or needs to go back to school. $115 waste of money.
