Now I know there has been inflation and I haven't had them done since prior to Covid. BUT SERIOUSLY, that is price gouging as typically it is $35-$45 normally. Lovely nail salon in West County! I was very pleased with the prices, services and amenities. Parking is also very easy and plentiful. Prices were $15 for regular mani, $25 for regular pedi and $37 for combo mani-pedi. I opted for the $25 regular pedi. The salon is very clean and tastefully decorated. I did bring my own polish (currently obsessed with OPI Infinite Shine) but I did notice they had a range of colors on the wall. I went midday on a weekday and there were an regular flow of 6-8 customers inside the salon. Most of the other clients were doing gel manis and seemed to be regulars so I think that's a good sign! My pedi was done very well. My technician was a male, and he was careful to trim, shape, and buff. The mini massage with the lotion was also great. The massage chairs were in great shape and were very comfortable as well. I'm also SUPER glad that none of the technicians pressure you to upgrade to any of their luxe options, all they do is simply ask at the beginning to select your service on a laminated card that explains the difference between regular, deluxe etc. I really appreciate that the technicians respect what the client wants. The only negative was that the chemical odors at this salon seemed to be stronger than at others that I have visited. I'm not sure if the ventilation was very effective that day and it was just a bit distracting. I don't mind a mild polish smell (after all, it's a nail salon); however, for some reason, it seemed particular strong that day, so I'd just caution anyone if they are extremely sensitive to that. DO NOT come here. I called ahead online to ask pricing for just a take off of old polish and the lady told me $10. I came in and told her i had an appointment and i was the one who called on the phone. She asked me if they were gel (also did on the phone) and i confirmed that they were gel and before i sat down i asked her again if it would only be $10 and she said yes. It took almost an hour for them to take off the polish and my nails were soaked in pure alcohol for almost 40 minutes. She repeatedly drilled for a little bit then put my hands back in the pure alcohol. She even tried to use a fake acrylic nail to pry the gel off but couldn't separate my nail from the gel polish and ended up ripping up from underneath my natural nail and when i said it hurt she kept going. after about 50 minutes of repeating this process she told me to go wash my hands. I was shocked because there were still several patches of gel remaining on my fingers and she didn't even buff them at the end so flakes of polish remained on every finger. She definitely was not rushed and i was the only one in the salon until half way through my appointment when one other girl came in and she was helped by a different nail tech. I got up to the counter and she pointed at a sign on the wall and said "nail take off $13 ok?" i told her no, this was not okay. this was a 30% price increase and despite it being on the wall, i called before hand and after I entered the building to confirm it was only $10. She told me that a normal nail take off is $10 but gel take off is $13. It did not say this on the wall, all it said was "nail take off $13" and did not specify the type. I also confirmed with her before beginning and on the phone before arrival that my nails were in fact gel. I will never be coming here again. For how long they took to do a horrible job and then trying to over charge me for it, this place is not worth anyone's money. You really do get what you pay for. So I hate to give bad reviews - but I need to for this one. I have to image that it was just my experience yesterday - since it looks as if others continue to get their nails done here. While I was there - a few women came in that seem to know the staff by name. The price was good - and they are open on Sundays. Both of those a plus. So here's my beef with the place. The girl working on me seem to be very preoccupied with everything but me. The polish was actually watered down - when I got home I had to put two coats of top coats on the nails. I noticed half way through my manicure that she put the cuticle cutter she used on me in a bin with her other tools - which she had pulled from to work on me. Ewwwww. Mike and Lynn are still good and I really did love how almost everything from chipped nails to cracked ones could be fixed (and sometimes without cost). The place, people, and service are perfectly pleasant and the prices are reasonable--slightly cheaper than other places I've gone to. Got a shellac manicure for the first time. The manicure (which looked sort of extra thick after it dried) was done on Wednesday. By Friday night I noticed those little white crackly-bubbly lines at the bases of my cuticles like the polish is getting ready to peel off. Just received the literal worst mani pedi I have ever received. The guy cut all of my toe nails as far down to the skin as they go, and cut my big toe nails completely diagonal going downwards into the sides of my nail and now they look completely deformed but left the painful ingrowns I asked him to trim. He didn't even clean out under the nails, I did it myself with tweezers when I returned home. He also BARELY exfoliated the bottom of my feet. The entire time he was doing my toes and fingers he was rude and acting like he was in some massive rush but there was nobody waiting to be helped and we were nowhere near closing time. For my fingers, I got dip and he absolutely tore up my cuticles and the skin around my nails with the filing block and then proceeded to put ALCOHOL on the torn up newly damaged skin. He also left me covered in dip ALL OVER my fingers and my nails were adhered to my skin on the edges with excess dip. I asked for the classic pedi and my total was $75 so I guess this god awful hack job of a dip polish was $50????????? I wish I would have said something while I was there but my skin was (still is) burning where he tore it up around my fingernails and I just wanted to get the F out of there. I've been spoiled in the past with having a nail salon less than 5 minutes away, and now I can say that I still have that convenience! The salon is clean and has quite a few pedi chairs, although not too many mani tables. I came in for a pedi (walk-in, no wait), which lasted 30 minutes. The lady working on my nails was efficient but not rushed. There were quite a few ppl in the salon getting their nails done, and it sounds like they have a lot of "regulars".
