When you walk in the door you feel like it's really going to be VIP but once you sit in the chair your bombarded with choices of products and services at all ranges of prices. That ruined the relaxing atmosphere... Staff is very friendly yet the pedicure I received I could do at home. They cut my nails way too short it hurt. The nail polish was smudged before I left and they would not fix it. However, great massage on my legs but I didn't go there for a massage. Prices vary with how many products they use on you and the amount of time it takes (they literally set out a kitchen timer). I went for the middle pricing but felt like that was a standard pedicure any where else. The higher pricing added in more massage time not amount of time they spent on your actual toes. It was interesting to say they least, won't be returning for a pedicure that's for sure read more

They need to improve on everything... their pedicures are not terrible but they can't do acrylics... avoid the man in there cause he's terrible and will blame you for jumping when he cuts your fingers. He doesn't know how to lay acrylic and the girl that did the polish was rude and didn't clean any of the paint off the side of my fingers. I asked for medium length and he gave me short, they are bumpy and way too thick! read more

Terrible. I can't believe this place is still in business after reading other reviews. I came here on a whim, and I wish I would've just waited for an appointment at my regular spa. The lady doing my pedicure dug into my nails so bad on both feet that she made me bleed. It was so painful. Polish job is pathetic. Not a clean or sanitary place. There were workers walking around the store with no shoes on. I'm worried I'll get an infected toe nail. Stay away! read more

I went in on Friday afternoon and received my worst pedicure ever. They were very busy and the women working there were NOT happy about having that many clients. The lady who gave me my pedicure wasn't happy that I only wanted the basic pedicure. She used the Drummel electric tool on my toenails, which I've never had before. She cut the top of my toe with that Drummel tool. She didn't care. Didn't do anything about cutting it. Then she ripped off part of my toenail and skin on that same toe. My foot was throbbing that night. I won't be going back to that place. Don't get your nails done at VIP Nails. read more

Worst pedicure I ever had. The polish was put on too think & was really a mess. I had them re-do it, & it wasn't much better. They didn't even file the nails. I paid $45 to include the callus removal. They did fine on the heals but when I got home I saw they didn't remove any from my toes. Now I'll have to go somewhere else & have it done right. I'll never return to this salon. They were also very pushy on getting more higher price services done. I don't know how they stay in business. I total waste of money!! read more

Nails nevet looked better definitely worth the wait, everyone is so nice and friendly

I never thought I would get this angry with a business. lol. I have paid for a service I never received and my feet were blamed for it.. (I just wanted to leave at this point and was so flustered/angry I just couldn't stand there and have her ARGUE with me about it. Shame on me, I know.) Poor feet. Their feelings are hurt. I don't give many 1 star reviews but if I could give lower I would. I am even going to the BBB website after this to report about this business. An absolutely horrible experience. It started off fine. I was going to get an eyebrow wax, Reflexology pedicure, and a Manicure. Reflexology: On the menu it showed the service and all it entailed... Rubbing the feet at pressure points and massaging and then the normal pedicure process with exfoliation and paraffin wax. The service said it could take 45 minutes. I paid for a Reflexology pedicure and I paid for a Shellac manicure(I upgraded as she fished for me to try the service/product.) I got the manicure as stated in the product explanation and I got a pedicure with the paraffin wax and that is it. The nail attendant was doing my pedicure. She stated she was not done yet and would come back to my feet afterwards but wanted to start the manicure at the same time, feet sitting in the paraffin wax while my manicure was getting done. While my hands were under a hot lamp to set the Shellac product, she burned me 3 times as she was moving my hands around in this process stating I was not positioning them correctly. She said she was sorry so what can I say? But 3 times sorry? This is where things started getting completely off track: When my hips were square forward and my fingers underneath this hot light that sets the shellac on my nails she reaches for my leg, moves it to the side and then asks me to bend my knee and put it on her leg.. while I'm facing forward... That's right, my leg is 90 degrees, bent knee, elevated and while I'm facing forward. I actually had to say to her(I was completely pleasant and not bothered at this time as she has not told me my "time" was up yet) that this position was not comfortable nor sightly. She then said well OK I was just trying to speed things up. (?!) So she stated she "guesses she will have to clean now." She said it like she was slightly miffed about it.(!?) I then watched her pick up the heal scrubber of dead skin, a metal thing with a handle, at the pedicure station and put it back in the bag, and put it away in the front cupboard register desk... with. out. cleaning. it. (This is where she retrieved it earlier.) WOW. I started thinking about how many people have been exposed to that thing and now my feet have been shared with all of them . AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. GROSS. After she got done with the rest of my manicure she started putting the polish on my feet at a normal pedicure seat. When I asked about the reflexology part, she stated that it took her 45 minutes and my time was up. I explained to her that the menu stated that the service took 45 minutes and the service was not given. This is ILLEGAL. I explained to her that the menu stated it was a Reflexology treatment and that she didn't do any of that. She argued(ARGUED) with me that the time that was listed there was a time limit not a range of time it would take to complete the service... She then blamed my FEET. Yes my feet were too rough, she said. This is why it took her SO long. I have never had a problem at any other nail spa before. This is not summer sandal rough feet! She is blaming my feet for why the service I paid for is not being delivered.... I told her that she should clearly state that people are paying for the time not the service. That this was not right but she still stated it was my feet's fault and that even though she did my manicure at the same time as my pedicure my time was up! I am flustered, irritated, she is arguing with me, and angry that she is saying it is my feet that are to blame(lol) I skip the eyebrow wax and I'm ready to go! She takes my credit card and starts walking to the back of the nail salon.. She explained the credit card machine does not work in the front.. only the back. I most certainly walked back there with her but still. Sell a fountain and get an electric socket working for goodness sakes! **I had to edit out the dramatic flare(oh there was more lol) in this review because I was pretty irritated. :p** TLDR: Reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. Did not get Service I was charged for and it is my feet that are to blame I was told and argued with. Unclean. AVOID AT ALL COST! The other 1 star review was NOT a fluke! read more

Wish I would have read the awful reviews before going in. We were headed to Schnucks and decided to treat ourselves to a mani & pedi. They're so understaffed that you are left soaking your feet in cold water for 15 minutes. The owner was there cleaning & offering everyone water & wine. He kept talking about how much pride he takes in his shop cleaning and telling his techs what to do. My nail lady didn't speak to me at all, I had to ask her to get my in grown nail. She grated my feet so much that she cut me & didn't even apply alcohol just kept going. My mani is awful, she left so much cuticle, didn't even clean the underneath my nails & half assed the polish. My boyfriend's mani & pedi was such a different experience than mine, his tech was friendly and made sure to buff his nails and left them great. The door was wide open so it was so hot in there, the AC was off. $110 later, so not worth it. Please don't waste your time or money. read more

First off, this place is clean and has a very soothing atmosphere. As for my regular manicure, it was not impressive at all. I was charged $20.00 for a regular manicure and I brought my own polish....no cleaning under my nails and no lotion massage. No goodbye, thanks for the tip or anything after paying. I've been to this nail salon a few times. The last time however, was the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. The lady (I don't remember her name, but she had really curly hair) was extremely rude. She ruined my nails. See attached photo. When she was finished I just looked at her like "is she serious??!" And she blamed MY THIN CUTICLES... What?! I recommend you not going here, if you do please avoid this lady read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS NAIL SALON! IF YOU DO, AVOID THE LADY WITH THE CURLY HAIR AT ALL COSTS! I wish I would have read the reviews before I came here. I came on a Saturday evening around 5:00. They were not busy, got me in right away for a pedicure and shellac mani. Before the pedicure, they set a kitchen timer for 25 minutes, and I knew it was going to be bad news from there on out. The tech cut me, making my cuticles bleed. I said, "ow", but she didn't seem to care. Just continued to cut the crap out of my cuticles and skin around my toes. The timer went off while she was polishing my nails, so she rushed through it. She was literally dabbing my nails and skin with polish (except my big toes)....not brushing the polish on. I asked if she could do a design on my big toes. She said yes, and started dabbing on a crappy bubble flower without even asking me what kind of design I wanted. I asked for a YELLOW stone in the middle of the flower, she put on a clear stone and put dabs of yellow polish on the white "petals" (you can barely see the yellow polish). She said this would look better. After the pedi, it was time for the shellac mani. I should have just left after the pedi. She cut me another 2 times, making me bleed again. When she was buffing my nails, she actually buffed the skin around my nails, as well, stating my cuticles were really bad, so this had to be done. That hurt more than the cuticles! As she polished the first nail, I told her I didn't like the color. It was a lot lighter than I was expecting. She said she would put a few coats on to see if that made it better. I told her again that I didn't like the color. She insisted on doing extra coats. After 3 coats, I still didn't like it, but she had no intention of giving me a different color. She was just slapping it on, so it got all over the skin around my nails. She did a terrible job. I had to ask her to clean up around my cuticles, to which she replied, "I'll file it off after they are done". OUCH. Waste of $61.00. Again, the curly-haired lady is TERRIBLE and I would HIGHLY recommend going elsewhere. read more

Wish I could give zero stars! This was the worst pedi ever! Who the hell uses a dremil to grind down toenails! And the same one to sand your heels! How unsanitary. Can't wait for the health department to check that out! Nicks all over every toe. Had me bleeding and wouldn't stop to put anything on it. She wore no gloves. Then used rubbing alcohol on the nicks to "sanitize" them. I told her to wash it off as it was burning the open nicks she caused. She said they were out of water. No massaging the legs and I had to ask her to at least rub lotion on them. Extremely crappy job. Terrible customer service. Then to top it off their credit card reader was not working so had to walk with wet toes to the atm to get money she didn't deserve. I hope they shut this place down soon! read more

For starters if I could give them ZERO stars I would! I came three times today. The first time I came was before 8 because the website said they opened at 9! Then the sign on the door says 9:30! Following this an employee didn't want to do my nails because I was removing the gel and walked away! She didn't even let me know what was going on! Not to mention she was rude from the start! I eventually got up and left because I was fed up! Every time I come here, I leave angry! I'm done with this shop! I don't recommend them at ALL! read more

I'm giving the single star to the sweet nail tech who gave me my manicure. I wish I had caught her name to give her kudos here! To the nail tech who was doing my pedicure who lost her mind over a miscommunication over nail color and type, I wish I could give negative stars. And to the male, whom I would assume was the salon owner, to allow your employee to go on such a tirade for ten plus minutes, shame on you! I rarely get mani-pedis. I wanted one for a wedding and a high school reunion. The first time I paid an extra $5, but didn't get the callus remover treatment that was included. The second time I did probably because I didn't pay an extra $5 for a hot towel on my calves. The first manicure was ok. the second one was done poorly with lots of nail still showing. Went for a gel manicure today and should have left based on the first of many red flags. The nail tech assigned to me was barefoot with no shoes anywhere to be found (nice and sanitary - ugh). Red flag #2 - she was very annoyed that I was there. She never sat down to do my nails - just stood over me, put my hands in cold, cloudy water and walked away - the hopeful side of me thought it was water with some type of conditioning in it.. the realist side of me said that customers before me soaked their DNA scrapings in the same water. The cranky nail tech came back to file / shape my nails and used a thick and incredibly coarse emery board to file my nails, destroying the smooth edges that I walked in with - she created rough edges that snagged everything I touched. For an added bonus, since I ruined her day by walking through the door, her anger was in full-swing so she ran the file over my nails so fast and furious that 2 of the tips of my fingers have paper cuts from the edge of the file. She then slapped the paint on (again, still standing over me as if she were on her way to do something far more important)... She did not bother to shake the polish and my nails are different colors. All 10 of my nails were supposed to be "royal violet".. but 7 of my nails are various shades of pink and the other 3 are purple - so 30% of my nails got the right shade - yay! Bottom line - My nails looked worse walking out than they did walking in. I paid to have my nails not match in color, UNsmoothed the edges, finger tips sliced open from cardboard file edges... as I whimpered off to my car, digging through my purse looking for bandaids, I saw the other nail technician standing in the parking lot screaming to someone on the phone.. probably another unhappy customer. I am now calling my doctor to request antibiotics to destroy the bacterial infection that will be the result of my manicure experience today. read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Awful manicure, expensive and incomplete. Cut nails when asked to file. Filed them where one side is squared and too short to fix. One of the "partners" Linda, called my daughter a LIAR when I brought her back in within minutes of leaving to fix their mistake. They don't have a clue what they are doing.. No price list posted. Ask for a manicure, get a polish. No hand massage, no base coat. $30.00 for a gel polish change. Despicable. Pass this place any chance you get. read more
