Honestly the worst full set of acrylic nails & gel polish ever. I was in a hurry to get my nails done quickly before an event and just looked up the closest place to my office and didn't have time to read reviews. Big mistake. Each nail is super thick and she kept piling on the gel polish and a clear top coat. The nails are inconsistently shaped, some are even lumpy and as you can see from the photos the sides are not smooth or fully painted. The design I chose was too difficult for her so I simplified it for her and it looked just OK. Linda got gel polish on my finger and proceeded to use a nail file to file it off, hurting me and damaging my skin. I mentioned it to her and she said "I have to use the file to get the gel polish off your finger," and did it again! Ouch! I went immediately to dinner at my boss's home, and tried hide my hands as much as possible, it was so embarrassing. I made an appointment with my regular nail salon for this weekend to have this taken off and start from scratch. I was also surprised that she started my appointment and then mid-manicure, went over and worked on another woman. She did this twice while I sat there waiting for her. I won't be back. read more

Worst nail salon experience I've ever had. I'm not exaggerating. 1. Getting a full set took 2 hours 2. My natural nail beds were bleeding and completely ground to shreds with the electric file. 3. She glued herself to my hand. 4. My nails came off one by one within 2 days of the service. I called for my money back and she told me "No you come in and I fix it for you" .... excuse me? I decided to give her a chance to correct it because what choice did I have?? I came in and she fixed the two nails plus put 2-3 more unnecessary layers of the dip on top of the existing nails making them look too thick and gaudy. Two days later the same thing happened... the nails popped off one by one. I lost my money, time and spent the holidays stressed out and embarrassed because nails kept popping off and I had to just take them off revealing my ruined nail beds underneath. I am an easygoing customer... I always give a business the benefit of the doubt... this woman should not be in business. I've never been more disrespected or scammed by a beauty professional. I'm a hairdresser and I do manis and pedis 15+years so I know what professionalism is and this place isn't even close. RUN read more

I've been going here for years! Linda is always very kind and will make sure you are happy with your service! This place is understaffed, but if you can stay patient it is well worth it! She's the best in south county & has the best prices!! Just remember it's mostly just the one woman, Linda, running the whole shop & helping each person herself! So I don't complain about a wait!! She will never 'cut corners' to catch up the line, like other places, and she will not rush you. You will ALWAYS have picture perfect nails when you leave the salon! read more

I thought about giving a 1 star but my nails actually look good. The experience was terrible. The lady was extremely rough and made me bleed. At first she started prying the dipped nails OFF. Then she took the pliers and tried taking one off that way. I was shocked. I told her that wasn't comfortable so she did it correctly. She knicked my skin twice and made me bleed and then tried to blame me that it bled. I'll definitely never be back. read more

So I'm not coming back to this place...... they apparently have an issue with my tattoo on my leg and covered it up with a towel.... there are three other women here with shorts on in the pedicure chair. I am the only one with a towel on my lap. When I asked why, the lady said " so you won't get cold". Long story short. Don't like my tattoo... you don't like my money or patronage. Solid nail salon. The ladies made my nails look much better than when I came in. Only issue is they seem to always be doing one or two other people's nails at the same time as yours. So if you don't make an appointment it's going to be taking longer, but they fit you in, and even will take you after technical closing time if you call ahead and say you're running in. The "gel" nails is actually gel polish and not the real gel powders, so be aware of that as well. Cleanliness of tools/use of new tools is questionable...but I haven't been able to find a salon where that is not the case yet. read more

I am adding this salon and review realizing that it is likely to become more busy after more people try it. This is the best salon I have patronized in St. Louis. They are fairly new and not well advertised; so a best-kept secret in Crestwood-Sunset Hills area. The salon is very clean and the technicians are skillful and great people. I spent the morning in yoga cringing at my feet in every downward dog. Desperate need of a pedi! Came to Viva Nails because I just moved in next door. Wow, so convenient. Friendly ladies working here, organic foot massage, excellent massage chairs. Very clean establishment. Glad I opted for pay $5 extra for the deluxe pedicure so i could get a longer massage, so worth it! My legs feel wonderful, my toes look great. Definitely coming back. read more

I have tried a number of nail salons, but this one by far was the best. Linda and Ann work like a team, and they gave me the most beautiful manicure and pedicure I have had in a long time. I visited this nail salon a few days ago. I was receiving a pedicure and have a couple of injuries on my toes, which I informed them of before we began and to,d them to avoid. This information was ignored and they ended up cutting my toe and damaging a nail. Also, I asked for the basic service and they tried to charge me for an upgrade which I didn't ask for or was offered. When I brought this up while paying, I was told that I received the upgrade, but they wouldn't tell me what it was. I will never visit this salon again. read more

Worst salon ever, waited for maybe 2 hours. She sat me down and put on my nails and then went to work on 5 other people that came in way after me. I was there for 2 hours waiting for her to finish my nails. They aren't dried at all, even tho I told the lady that I thought they weren't dry but she insisted they were. The nails are way too big on my fingers, the nail polish is all the way off my fingers and due to the fact I got gel that if I try to fix it the whole polish will come off. I also got made fun of by the Lady for asking a question. My time there was very awful. read more

I went here for my first ever pedicure. I had a cast on below the knee from surgery for two months. So my leg and foot were a little gross to be honest. But they took care of me and I now totally get the pedicure thing. Being a man, pedicure aren't something we think of too much. This was my first visit to Viva, my nails look fine but I didn't care for the way my old polish was removed. She took a portable drill with a grinding bit and ground off the old polish. On more than one of my nails she got too deep and I still have pain in those finger tips. read more

They are a little short staffed like the other reviews suggested but I loved my gel nail polish they did for me. They have sooo many more gel color options then a lot of the other salons. I will be coming back to see Linda. read more
