I went to this place for the first time on Friday. The owner's wife, Tina, was my nail tech. She polished my daughter's nails in less than 5 minutes(rushed). When she started to polish my nails, I explained that the nail color was not the correct color because I'd been using the color and it was much lighter than the color was supposed to be. Finally stopped by to try this place out and was not disappointed! I went with their deluxe pedicure and they did a wonderful job! She took her time and made sure to do it right. After she was done with my nails, the owner, Cammy, came over and introduced herself to me which I thought was super nice. The inside was very clean and well kept, but the exterior really needs some work. Honestly, the appearance from the outside has kept me from going in before. It's poorly done and is sort of makes it look like a dump. Now that I know they have good service I will be back, but they really need to improve their signage and exterior because it is definitely off-putting. read more

Very nice staff, and definitely willing to accommodate a last-minute walk-in request. Decent color selection. And the overall environment was bright and clean. However, my pedicure/gel-mani appointment took two full hours, when a typical time for this same service is usually a bit faster (about an hour). Also, I had to request a third coat of toe-polish and then also ask them to top-coat it when they forgot? And the "Deluxe" pedi service didn't feel very deluxe. Terrible massage, even when I asked her to move away from the top of my shins and move to my calves because I didn't need my bony legs massaged she continued. Also, my gel-mani took forever because she moved one finger/hand at a time (right pinky - lamp, then left pinky - lamp, right ring - lamp, left ring - lamp, etc). Very odd. Overall, I'd visit again in a hurry, but I don't think it is my first choice. read more

What a great addition to South City! Typically the nail place I frequent can have up to an hour wait with not great customer service. This is not the case for Cammy's! I walked in and was able to do my pedi and mani at the same time. Both ladies were very detailed and made sure my nails were perfect. Do not be deceived by the exterior appearance! Cammy's Nails is legit and will become my new go-to nail salon! The place is super clean and very well kept. Staff is very attentive and friendly, and pay a great deal of attention to detail in their work. Came in for a regular pedicure and gel manicure and am quite pleased with the work! Had the most expensive pedi and a gel mani. Requested French on both. Instead of top layer being a pale sheer, she simply used the top coat over the white tips. Also, the pedi was sub par at best, even for a basic service. Callouses were barely touched. Nails on hands and feet were left rough and poorly finished and sloppily done. The individual was rushed to start on someone who didn't want to wait. When I asked what about the pale sheer coat, she didn't look up. Just said, "We don't do that." I won't return. Not busy on a Saturday morning.. paid $28 for a deluxe pedicure with the $5 up charge from the cheapest pedicure being for a sugar scrub that is included at some other nail salons.. The nail tech did take her time on the cuticle removal and painting and rubbing in lotion and the sugar scrub so it was very relaxing, however the callous removal was basically nonexistent; she used that purple rectangle and scrubbed each foot for 5 seconds. That is my only complaint as my feet definitely need more and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 and the extra money for the scrub is overpriced. 2 of 10 gel nails were done well. 8 of 10 gel nails had a finished polish application that ran over into the gutters and/or had an uneven application at the cuticle. The nail technician was very sweet but used her jagged, unkept nail, instead of a clean tool to remove excess polish from the skin/gutters. Did not see any tool come from a clean, sterilized container or solution. At $27 for the service I will not go back. read more

I was a walk in customer, just wanted a manicure, I decided last minute to have a gel manicure and so glad I did, it's been 2 weeks and my nails look great!! I was excited to try this place after reading the reviews. Should have got my first clue it wasn't going to be good when they weren't busy on a weekend day. I got gel on my toes and nails. Halfway through they explained an up charge on my pedicure for gel. I expected it to be more, but they knew I was getting the gel when I started so why did they wait to tell me the price was higher than what they told me? My pedicure was ok, she rushed through it but it wasn't a bad experience. However, my nails and toes started chipping immediately. (One average my toes done in gel never crack, just grow out and my nails usually last two weeks before chipping.) By day two I had a nail that had spidered and when it chipped off, there was a weird dust. Apparently they are using old polish and not circulating out bad product. This is especially frustrating because with tip I paid over $80. I won't be back. read more
