This place exceeded my expectations! After still on the hunt for a reputable and well-priced nail salon, I came cross Wild Nails. Since they're appointment only, I made one for 11/29 and was able to get the first slot of the day. Kathy warmly greeted me and did my pedicure first. I saw the pricing for the services and asked what the difference was between the regular and deluxe pedicure and she said it came with a wax treatment and something else. For a $5.00 difference, I decided to get it. She went through the normal steps of removing the polish and so forth. I really appreciated her checking throughout the service to ensure my needs were met both with the shape and length of the nail, as well as how it looked. At first I didn't see the value of the deluxe until she put my feet in the wax bags and had it soak for a few mins. Once removed, my feet were so Incredibly soft! I figured ok, so the pedicure was great, let's see how well she does nails and that's where she really shined. When she started my nails, I noticed she was working a bit faster than she did on my feet. At that point, I assumed she had another appt (which she did), I just wasn't sure when. I was amazed that even while working a bit faster, she still cared about the accuracy and look of my nails. I'm used to being rushed and the nails not looking to my liking, but she was the opposite. Not only did she nail the design, but everything else was perfect. Best of all, she told me the prices up front so I knew everything she was charging for and there were no surprises afterwards. Kathy was polite, thorough, and did great work. Considering I paid less here for a fill, pedicure, and tip than I did at the other place with just a full set and tip, it's a no brainer who's getting my business in the future. What a great spot to treat yoself! Owned by a husband-and-wife duo, this spot is unassuming in a small strip mall. It has the capacity for many folks to have their nails done at one time; however, it's best to call ahead and make a reservation since it is usually always busy! They are open every single day of the week - but do close for extended times around holidays (understandably so!) They are quick and courteous and very nice to chat with! They also offer a great deal - I had a shellac mani for $26 - and you can get many other services for a good price too. I have found my new nail place in STL!!! I have passed by this place many times because the outside doesn't look all that fancy but once you're indoors, it looks really nice. Kathy, one of the owners, gave me the best manicure of my life. I am very sensitive and she was so gentle yet extremely effective. Everything looks great. Gel manicure with French tips was $29, and they have a cash discount of 5% if you pay cash. My nails look gorgeous, Kathy has a lovely, calm, kind energy to her, and I feel good about spending money towards this lovely family (owned by husband and wife.) So this is the first nail salon I visited when I moved to STL, solely based on Yelp reviews. If it weren't for their good reviews, I probably wouldn't have given this place a chance. Driving by, it definitely doesn't look fancy. Stepping inside, it def is not fancy. But there are decently new pedi massage chairs and there are a good selection of colors. The owners are nice, the prices are definitely fair, they do dip, and my nails always last the full two weeks. Downside is that sometimes there is a wait even if you've made an appointment. This place is small and not fancy, I much prefer it to the giant nail emporium two blocks down. The people are VERY friendly and the price is good. They did a paraffin dip with my pedicure at no extra charge. I had my first gel manicure here and I am a true believer. Only $22, and when I chipped it she redid that finger for free when I was in getting a pedicure. I have also never waited, they always seem ready to take another client, At least at the times I go. 2 years later - I am still a loyal customer. Their gel maincure always lasys a whole 2 weeks, I have had from other salons that chipped or peeled. I stumbled upon wild nails about a year ago when I moved to the area and couldn't find a nail salon that wasn't crowded AND that was clean not to mention I didn't want to drive from Webster Groves to Illinois every time I needed my nails and eyebrows done so I gave them a try and I don't regret that decisions at all! After a conversation with the boss lady, she agreed to do a second coat, and had been accommodating in the past. I do appreciate her coming to speak to me about my previous review. However, since then, I have tried to get my nails done several times. They weren't able to do my nails because I didn't have an appointment (never had to have one before!) Today, just so I wouldn't have to be turned away again, I made an appointment...was a couple minutes late because of traffic, no big deal. When I get there, she tells me it's a 30 minute wait, and there are only 3 customers and three people working! I tell her I had an appointment. She looks at her book, "I don't know who you talked to, I don't have anything here." Really? I talked to you, you said "see you at 5:00pm." Then she tells me I made the appointment for Thursday, she shows me her appointment book...that wasn't me, or the service I requested. Then she tries to tell me it's my fault for being a few minutes late! How? You didn't even have the appointment down in the first place, and you've turned me away in the past because of other people who had appointments, and I was a walk-in, so neither of those excuses fly. I'm so done with this place. It's one thing to raise your prices, and another to lie right to my face! After a year and a half, I'm finally saying good riddance!!! read more

This is my first Yelp review and I have to say I love Wild nails! I have been going there for about a year now and the owners always go out of their way to may sure everyone is happy. I have long nails so I usually just get a gel polish change or a pedicure (in the summer) and I am never disappointed. Their prices are very reasonable and they are always honest if something wouldn't look right. They work fast but do not cut any corners. This was my first time, I came because of the ratings on Yelp. Very friendly!!! I had Lulu as my nail tech. She did a pretty good job on my nails. We had to try twice to get them all straight (I have a large nailed and I get long square nails), but I'm overall pleased. It was 30 for a full set and gel polish, which is reasonable. I was worried about my gel polish being lumpy but she put an extra clear coat on my nails until they were smooth. She also gave me the option of thick or thin nails, which I like a more natural look so I chose thin. I docked a star because they can have much more cleanliness of their tools. I was there for an hour and 30 minutes, which included a 20 minute wait and that was okay considering I was a walk in. Overall an A for my first time visit. read more
