Just walked in for a pedicure because this salon was the most convenient to where I was running errands and was SO pleasantly surprised given I didn't really know what I was walking into! Amazing receptionist, staff, and experience. It all felt super professional and spa-like. I'll be back for sure!! :) read more

I don't know how my nail tech ground my very thick nails down so much that the very same night I spent $75 on my pedi (which was originally advertised as $55), my nail broke. Two days later my other big toenail broke! Not to mention that the nail tech upcharged me originally to grind them so thin, they were like paper, though they're always so thick that they usually can't be cut with regular nail clippers. Then, I come to get a fix, and I am charged ANOTHER $26 for two nails?!?! Not to mention, they didn't tell me this until after they finished the work! So, destroy my nails, charge me extra to do so, then charge me more to fix them?! I originally thought my mani pedi would cost a little less than $100, then got to the register and had all these upcharges I wasn't told about in the beginning! I left there paying over $130!! This is highway robbery! I had to spend over $100 on a pedicure that usually costs me $55!!! And the nail tech had an attitude with me, like it was my fault! I will most likely not be returning. If I do, it will only be because the girl at the front desk was so very lovely and kind. I am not happy about the ridiculous over charges for everything!!! The nails looked good, which is the only reason I gave two stars, but totally could have spent my $160 on more prudent things in this horrible economy!!! read more

Best service and quality I've ever had in any nail salon. Rachel was amazing and very patient with my confusing and contradicting request for my nails. Highly recommend. Full service bar, aesthetically appealing and relaxing environment. read more

Be careful... I called to inquire whether they had nail techs that could do designs. I ended up speaking with the owner and told her I currently had acrylics but was wanting a different sign. I sent her a picture of the design and she said she has plenty of people that could do it, that it was easy, and she'd love to get me taken care of. She then suggested I try gel-x, which I was somewhat familiar with but had never tried. When I asked how much it would be, she said $75.00 total. I decided it was a good deal and booked my appt for the next day. I came a bit early for my appointment and they took me back right away. The place is beautiful but this is where things took a turn. When I sat down, I confirmed the design with the nail tech but I noticed there was a bit of a language barrier. When she was unsure of what I said, she'd ask her co-worker for help. Things were going ok until it came time for the design. I noticed she did the design on both hands the same direction, when instead each hand should have been opposite. When I pointed it out, the owner came and said she'd try. She then sat down and removed what the girl had done but what she said next really threw me for a loop. She goes, "you know most people with designs get them facing the same direction." I said, "interesting because everywhere I've gone for designs always faces them the opposite direction ." Regardless, isn't that common knowledge? She then started on the lines of the design and made the comment, "this is really tedious, you know." I'm sitting here thinking, "wasn't it you I spoke with on the phone yesterday that was saying how easy the design was and that you had techs that could do it?" She finishes up and I go to pay. If you remember earlier in the review, I told you she told me it would be $75.00, so imagine my face at the register when I look and it's $110! When I told her this wasn't the price she said on the phone, she said, "well, that didn't include the removal of your old nails, the shape, length, etc". I'm like ok. I paid and quickly left. After 5 minutes, I decided that didn't sit well with me, so I called and asked to speak with her (the manager). When I asked why she didn't tell me that when I was on the phone with her yesterday, she was like, "you're right. That's my fault. I should have done it. I'll refund you the extra $35.00." I told her I appreciate the gesture, however, I didn't call for a refund. Put yourself in my shoes and ask yourself how you'd feel if you were told one price over the phone but charged something different in person." Again, she apologized and said I was right. I then asked why she made the comments about it being tedious and she said she was just saying it aloud but it wasn't directed to anyone. Again, even if you felt that, you could have at least waited until I left to voice your frustration. You meant for me to hear it and that's all I'll say regarding that. If she had been transparent from the very beginning, none of this would have happened. While I appreciate her giving me back the $35.00, it doesn't excuse the fact that she didn't convey the extra prices. Additionally, regardless of you how felt, you should know better than to voice your frustration at me knowing full well YOU were the one that said it was easy before I even got there. read more

Unfortunately, it took me an hour and ten minutes to get my dip nails removed. Upon arrival, all technicians were busy so the receptionist showed me back. After she wrapped my nails in the cotton swaps and aluminum foil, it took 40 minutes for a tech to help me. When the tech got to me, she quickly realized that the receptionist had soaked my nails in rubbing alcohol instead of acetone... it took her about 35 minutes to remove my dip using the nail file and soaking my fingers in a bowl of acetone. The tech did apologize towards the end of my appt. I had high hopes when I walked in, but I will not be returning. read more

Hi, i just left Upscale Nails in Des Peres with 2 young friends. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. I had to call them 3 times to make arrangements. They were so nice about the phone calls that I couldn't believe it. It was great at the salon as well. They were very kind - they wanted to know exactly what we wanted - water temperature, nail color/style, drinks - all of it. They really wanted to do what we wanted, and they did it. The people were not only excellent at their jobs, but fun as well. It was a great Valentine's Day experience. read more

On Dec 13th, I flew back to my hometown of STL for an awards event for my sister. I had planned everything down to the last detail for this trip....except for my nails! I had an elaborate design that I wanted but had failed to schedule a nail appointment. I saw the high rating on Yelp for this salon and immediately ran to their Instagram. I reached out about an appointment (at 3am) and attempted to patiently wait for a response. I eventually called and explained my situation. I would be landing at 4:40pm at Lambert, would need to grab my bags, get the rental car, and then make it to Des Peres during rush hour without getting a ticket. The owner told me she would make sure I was taken care of. I actually made it to the shop by 5:45pm on the 13th! Kelly was my nail tech and did an amazing job. They even stayed a bit past closing to finish up. Sadly, this is the only pic I took of my nails but i think the shop has a video. I am so grateful for the time and effort taken to help me that evening. The salon also offers alcoholic beverages and a nice gentleman who was also a customer paid for my drink. (Which was needed after a long day of travel!) Thank you all so much for your service and I am happy to recommend you to whoever will listen!! (FYI: today is 12/29 and my nails are still going strong!) read more

I couldn't recommend this salon more!! I've gotten my nails done consistently for 12+ years and this is the best place I've gone to and the only place I'll go. Perfection every time and the girls are so much fun to chat with!! read more

A breathe of fresh air and an elevated nail salon- highly recommend! Great location and everyone was friendly and accomodating.

This is my 3rd time back at T.C upscale nail lounge! I have tried a manicure w/ dip and pedicure w/ gel. I've been getting my nails done in the greater STL area for +10years and this place by far supersedes any other nail salon I have been to. + Very welcoming and conscious of your needs and allow enough time and communication to make sure you get exactly what you asked for. + It is a place that focuses on low stimulation with clear/concise nail colors, spa music, interior design. Great place to unwind after a high stimulation day + The nail artist are very kind, caring, and talented. Valerie is a talented nail artist that delivers fun designs for special occasions + Sterility is key in any nail salon. They open all their sterilized nail equipment in front of you. Perfect place to get pedicures! This place is a 5/5 for me, when considering sterility, staff, and, ambiance! All in all, I feel lucky to have found this place! read more

Had an amazing CBD pedicure. I love the atmosphere. They had tons of colors to choose from.

This was my first time visiting this nail salon, and it was absolutely amazing. They soak your nails and warm lemon water with the oil to soften your cuticles. They drill very softly, to preserve your natural nail. This place is amazing. I will definitely be coming back. It is more pricey than my previous nail salon, but definitely worth it. read more

Great service and attention from my nail tech Valerie (?) but the relaxing vibe was ruined from the owner walking around angry in the salon and was unsettling and disconcerting! I spent over $135 and he kind of ruined the vibe :) but otherwise I will go back :) read more

Was on the hunt for a new nail spot and happened upon this spot while searching Google. I definitely found my new spot! Everything from decor, ambiance, customer service and of course the service itself was 100/10! I got a pedi (my feet haven't felt this soft in a while!) and a new set of acrylic with a French style ombré. Teresa was amazing and a master of her craft!! Also, you can bring a beverage of your own if you'd like but I'd say leave it at home because they offer any and everything you'd want - soda, infused water, coffee, cappuccino, wine, champagne, etc. After finishing this review I'll be scheduling my next appointment with Teresa in 2 weeks! read more

I needed a new manicure late yesterday as I am leaving for a trip first thing today! TC Upscale Nail Lounge 2 was closest to my house and so I tried it out! Walked in about 5 o'clock on a Thursday. Let me say that Nick at TC got me RIGHT. He was very receptive to my preferences and his attention to detail was so appreciated! We talked out what I wanted, and then he gave me a dip mani with gel on top. I wanted French and even some nail art, and he did an AMAZING job. As for the salon itself, it was clean and newly appointed with modern fixtures. The employees were very kind and helpful, and the place is organized very well. I understand that the salon has recently come under new management, and as I understand it, have really improved from the past! I definitely enjoyed my experience here and will 100% be back. read more

Nick did a great job on my natural mani pedi. He was polite. Took his time, and did a very precise and neat job. The shop is cute and comfortable. I like the massage chairs. They also have a ton of product which isn't as big of a deal for me as I use standard mail polish. But if you like gels or dips- they have an amazing selection. read more

Really love the people here and the first time I got my nails done they were beautiful. I wanted to come in a second time because of them. My appt. Was at 1pm, we sat down and started my nails at 1:15 and it just got worse from there... the nail tech started rushing through my set because she over booked herself and had an appt. At 2:30 and 3pm. She also had to leave to get her kids at 2:30 and that's when she started rushing my entire set. I was supposed to have gold diamonds on my fingers but some are silver and some are gold. They've almost all fallen off and I got them done not even 24 hours ago as of this morning.. they're crooked as well and just completely sloppy and was still charged $115 for them. There are pieces of fluff in my nails and they just look horrible now... I also have the nail techs finger print in one nail which she said "it will go away when I put a top coat on" and it didn't.. so yeah. They want me to come back today and be charged to fix their issues and I can say I won't be coming back. read more
