Hands down the BEST nail salon in St. Louis for gel/regular polish! * Appointment only * Located next to schnucks frontenac, a couple stores behind orange theory fitness, a true hidden gem * Greeted at the door by NAME (and this was my first time! Talk about customer service!) * I never felt rushed to choose a color * The furniture was a cozy couch instead of a rolling office chair * Each nail station has an air purifier * Maddie was so helpful. I initially chose a color, but it was so transparent that it matched my skin tone, so she offered other recommendations after getting to know a little bit about me and my style. She made a great recommendation that got me a lot of compliments! * She also had me looked at the shape and if the length was to my liking which no ones ever done before. Usually they'll keep working until you point something out and then they fix it, but it's still not what I want, not here! They make sure it's exactly what you want. Love that. * The best gel mani I've ever received and SO many color options that I actually like! I've already booked some appointments for events I have later this year and I'm already so excited to go back! * gel mani was $50 (their prices all include tip) * gel pedi is $65

I loved my experience here so much more than I expected. Where to start? The ambience was so nice - beautiful (not fluorescent) lighting, simple decor that's comfortable, an incredibly clean interior, friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere. I treated myself to a gel mani and pedi, knowing the price before going into it. Tip is included, and the services were outstanding, so I didn't feel bad paying $115. I will say that I don't think I am their target demographic as I cannot afford this kind of thing often, but it was a great splurge. If you're ever looking to treat yourself, go the extra mile and go here, seriously. You won't regret it. Special shout-out to Mimi and Gabby. My hands and feet were cleaned up, polished nicely, and taken care of. I felt like a princess being pampered, my feet soaking in warm water while someone filed and buffed my nails. It is a very stark contrast to the usual nail salon experience. In my own experience, things are rushed and half done, many tools are not sanitized, the interior of the salon is dirty, and the focus is all about high turnover. Not here. Here you're welcomed and given the utmost pampering treatment. My only regret is that I can't go more often. Maybe one day, because I definitely wouldn't go anywhere else!

This is the best nail salon I've ever been to. You must go here if you live in St. Louis!

Took my mom here for a mani and pedi and asked if they could squeeze me in for a pedi which they were able to accommodate last min. My mom was so pleased with her service she pulled out money to tip but was advised they dont accept tips. Both she and I were happy with our results and I thought this would be my go to. They dont do anything fancy just polish your natural nail either basic or gel. I also liked the diverse staff there as well. Thought that would make it welcoming for all. The scheduling is a little weird but I get it because they want to make sure you get served in a timely manner. But fast forward to my second most recent visit and I'm left skeptical and may not return. The same lady who helped my mom, who was really nice and I had great conversation with, didnt do the best job on my nails. She did tell me to inspect them which I thought I did but missed some inconsistencies probably because I was so focused with the new girl doing my feet. She was so delicate like she was afraid to hurt me I had to verbally tell her she wouldn't. She couldn't polish my toenails because she was new so another lady came and I had to ask her to look and finish my feet before polishing. This left wondering if she was a licensed nail tech or just someone taken off the road that they teach how to polish. My pedi was done well but pics show poor mani. I was ready to post this review but wanted to give the business a shot to address my concerns but after almost 2 weeks of no response here I am.

Located in the plaza with Schnucks, hidden in a passageway between the Schnucks and Orange Theory fitness. Park on the right side of the complex for optimal closeness. Tints has been open for about a year, but it still has a glow of shiny newness. The space has lots of natural light from the floor to ceiling front windows, mid-century modern furniture, brass light fixtures, succulents and greenery throughout- Instagram worthy. For my first visit, I made an appointment on their website just to be on the safe side. Walk-ins are welcome, however. I was immediately greeted, offered wine/coffee/water, and asked to pick a color from the swatches. The gel manicure comes with a 2 week warranty in case of any premature peeling or chipping. The manicure seating was a comfy sofa with extra pillows. The buffer and file the nail tech used were brand new for my use only. Instead of throwing them away when she was done, she let me keep them! The pedicure stations are not the uncomfortable, worn in massage chairs of your standard nail salon. Each comfy leather chair has its own foot tub- but none of the tubs have filters or recirculated water. Every person is getting a fresh, clean, brand new set of water- the tubs only have drains, not your typically bubbling water bath- so this place is clean! The higher price is definitely warranted by the amazing service, the wine, the fresh/clean tools, the cleanliness of the entire operation. I forgot to mention, tip is included in the price.

Beautiful spring manicure!

Nice environment and consistently good service. There is no tip policy so pricing takes that into account.

Nice salon, it was nice that they don't use acrylic. I wish they did extensions. I think they are missing out on clients by not doing them.

Ask the Community - Tints Polish

Do they do nail art?

They don't. They just do regular polish or gel. One of the girls told me this is because they keep it simple here.

Can you remove dip powder if it's already on my nails?

We do not remove dip powder. Dip power is an acrylic based product, we do not apply or remove any acrylic products. By filing dip powder in the removal process, the particles are in the air, our staff and customer will be inevitably inhaling them,… Read more

Are they still in business? I just tried to book an appointment and haven't received a reply, website isn't working for me and no answer when I called.

Yes we are. Sorry our website was down today, hope to resolve it by tomorrow. In the meantime, please call or text 314-896-3826 for inquiries or appointments. Thank you.

Can they do a full set (fake nails)?

They do not do acrylics. Only regular and gel mani/pedis.

Was wondering if the do air brush nails?

They do not. Regular polish and gel only.

When we arrived, we were the only 2 clients in the space since we had the last appointments of the night. The girls working got us checked in, offered us something to drink and let us pick out our nail color from the wall. I was glad to see they offer dazzle dry since that's been my new favorite type of polish recently. Once we had our colors, the techs had us sit in the chairs and we were able to soak our feet for a bit. The bowls they use are meant to be cleaner than the traditional pedicure tubs and are easy to move around as needed. Once we had our feet soaking for a bit, the techs started to clean/scrub our feet/ankles and calves. They also provided a warm neck wrap that we could put on while relaxing. Once they are ready to start with the lotion and hot towels, they have you recline back in the chair which was so nice. My favorite part was when they did the hot stone massage on my feet/calves. Honestly, that felt so good and lasted a nice amount of time. Once all of the pampering was completed, my nail tech started to work on my toes and made sure they were getting painted correctly. She did at least 2 coats of the color along with a base coat and a top coat so I trust the color will last for a bit. We were able to remain reclined for about 10-15 minutes while our toes were drying and then the nail techs came out to check on our toes so that we could put on our flip flops and head out. The techs were so friendly and really made sure we felt good afterwards. They helped us up off our chairs and then we were able to pay before leaving. This really was such a nice experience for a pedicure. Now that I have done the basic pedicure, I may be interested in doing one of their speciality pedicure experiences next time.

Upon walking in, I couldn't help but notice the aesthetic. The salon is immaculate, the floors were shiny and clean, and it totally gives off the high-end vibe. After signing in, they confirmed what services I was getting and brought me back. The person doing my nails was Paige and she couldn't have been more pleasant. When we got started, she confirmed the design and then suggested I get the gel builder vs gel-x and gave her reasons why. During the process she was extremely attentive, making sure I was satisfied with each step before moving on. Everything was fine and then it came time for the design. She nailed it on the first time! There were no struggles, hesitations, or sighs. She did everything with ease and was able to mimic the design the best out of all the other salons I've been to. Once she was finished, Olivia brought me over and did my pedicure. She was amazing and also super friendly. The massage chair was heaven and easily one of the best I've had whilst getting a pedicure. Overall, I was beyond pleased for my first time at the salon. While the prices are a tad higher than what I'm accustomed to paying, it does ring true you get what you pay for. The level of care and attentiveness I received was so refreshing and really made me feel valued. I for sure will be back.

I think the…read moreway the person is greeted upon walking in to an establishment should tell you everything you need to know. Case in point is when I made an appt and walk in only for these two young girls, whom I'm guessing are in high school, sitting down to the side of the front desk to greet me. Odd? Yes, because why aren't you actually at the front? I told them my name and the service I was here for. Out of nowhere this girl comes and asks me what I'm getting. I show her the design and she said I can go with her. We walk to her station, which reminded me of cubicles because they're all right next to each other. She starts taking off the nail polish and I noticed there's a sign on each desk asking to inquire of prices before services. I asked her how much it would be and she looked puzzled. Then she went to one of the other workers and asked him. She came back and told me $70. I was shocked! $70 for a fill-in? No ma'am! Initially I told her yes, but when I asked her to trim them down only a little (still wanted to keep the l shape but only make it a little shorter) she ended up doing way more and at that point I knew the design wouldn't look the same. I lost interest immediately and went back to browsing on my phone only to have her cut my cuticles on two different nails. It felt like they were on fire! At this point I'm livid, in pain, and couldn't wait to get out of there fast enough. When it came time to paint I told her to just give me a solid pink. She looked confused and I reiterated only a solid color. She then said ok, $45. You're joking, right? $45 dollars for a basic, and I do mean basic pink color with no lines, designs, nothing? It's egregious and down right laughable. I was so relieved when she finished and couldn't wait to get out of there. Overall, this visit reminded me of how someone goes into a barber shop and there's one barber who's dying for a client, but no one wants to sit in his chair. Perhaps it could have been different if I had another technician but the fact is, I didn't, she couldn't really communicate, I wasn't offered anything to drink and she cut my nails so short, I couldn't even do the design, and was grossly overcharged. Thank you, next....
