I was happy to be squeezed in as a walk-in. I wanted to get my dip filled; I was told they couldn't fill a dip and would have to do acrylics. Me, not knowing really anything, agreed to a removal and acrylics put on. The process of removing the dip took quite awhile; she didn't even start with new acrylics for about 30-45 minutes. I don't know anything about it, so I guess that's normal? The location was open, spacious, and very clean. I loved the orchids along the windows. The lady who did my nails was fairly pleasant. We didn't talk too much, and I honestly talked to the other lady tending the orchids than the nail tech. So, my nails really weren't great. The acrylic was thick in some places and thin in others. Underneath the tip, there were clumps of acrylic. Some of my nails looked bulbous at the base, and the shape wasn't great. I wasn't really satisfied, and even less so when I got home and started really looking at them. Unfortunately, I learned my lesson the hard way. Maybe a different tech would be better, I'm not sure. I talked to a friend later who said dips can definitely be filled. I'm not sure who is right, but I think I'll steer clear of acrylics now. They didn't look good enough to warrant the cost. read more

Agh, I would have given this nail salon 4 stars in December (Wendy gets 5, though!), but the last three times I've gone in here, the prices have been different. I get inflation, but the prices didn't match what they had advertising at the front desk. I thought it was strange when the guy, 10 minutes into doing my nails, said, "It's going to be $40 today, okay?" It was $33, then $38 the two times before. No new full set either, just my own nails. The pedicures are fine. The seats are extremely worn and work at about 3% of what they probably did 29 years ago. If you love that part of the pedicure, this is not the shop for you. read more

I got a gel pedicure, regular manicure, and they both got pedicures. one child and one deluxe. if going off of their prices online, the total should have come to $90 at most. The total was $115 and then they gave me the new customer 20% making it $91. If you go here you will get overcharged and the quality was not good at all. She cut up multiple cuticles making me bleed. While also rushing and making you feel like you're wasting their time when You came in to pay for services. Save your money, there are plenty of other nail shops to try. read more

Definitely will not be returning here. The atmosphere was cold and there was no noise at all save for one television. My nail tech talked to me very little besides telling me to relax a million times. When we first walked in, we tried to explain we'd never been to a salon but the lady pushed us and we just went along with whatever she suggested, and we weren't able to pick the colors we wanted because of the pressure. Our nails ended up being different sizes, not painted all the way, and the polish came off within two hours. Not worth the money, even though a full set was only $25. read more

This Is the worst place by far that I have been to. When I originally came inside the nail salon I asked for a pedicure and a full set. well let me tell you I got my toes done like the people are very lazy. They do not give u options of different spa treatments and they don't really massage your legs or feet. Then the lady I had was like a kindergartner trying to color with a paint brush. I got rhinestones on my feet and they are not placed in a orderly fashion. I needed a last minute nail appointment because my normal shop was busy and a friend recommenced nail luxe. The salon's location is off a main street, so it could be easy to miss and the parking could be better but, the salon itself is beautiful. The atmosphere feels lush and the salon is clean and pretty. I've gotten a gel manicure and pedicure here and I was pleased. Service was prompt and thorough. I went in hopes to have these horrid nails fixed from another nail shop out here and at first it was going well. I showed a picture of the shape I wanted and kind of went back and forth about colors and styles I wanted since the picture I originally showed her she stated she did not know how to do. So once she finished my nails I told her they look a little fat on the sides and I would like the nails to be a slimmer shape. I then showed her a picture of my nails from my nail tech in Texas and stated I wanted my nails a slimmer shape. She then states because of how my fingers look I need to have fatter shaped nails. I told her I would like the slimmer shape and again showed her the work of my nail tech. She then stated the nail color is what make my nails look fatter. I told her I do not like the way they look and if she can shape them up. I told her I am not happy with the work and would like the shape I asked for. Honestly, all she had to do was take the nail file and shape them up on the sides. That was all, but instead she got upset and said she worked hard for 30 minuets on my nails and that she did her best.I apologized for how she felt but reminded her that I wanted a specific shape and was not happy with the final result. I asked her if she could just take the nails off because I did not want to pay for a service I am not happy with. She then told me to leave her shop and don't apologize since I didn't like her work I can go somewhere else. It was so tacky and unprofessional. I will not return. Saint Louis have the worse nail techs that do a rush job and cannot handle constructive criticism. read more

About six months ago, my nail shop of 15 years shut down- I was devastated. I found Nail Lux, as it wasn't that far from my house. I started seeing Wendy for nails and Jenny for pedicures. Anytime I would come in for a service, would pre-call and get an appointment with either lady. Every time I would come in for a pedicure with Jenny, she was great! I would never wait long for her to put me in a chair. She was so nice, and the convos were good. Getting my nails done by Wendy was an entirely different experience. Multiple times I've sat and waited over 30 minutes past my appointment times. Once time, my polish started peeling two days after she did it, I called, she told me to come in asap. I got there; she said I would have to wait an hour to get one finger repainted. During one nail appointment, she told me how she LOVES stealing money from Americans. Then proceeded to ask me what I planned on tipping her. Today was the last straw! I called and made an appointment over my lunch time, I showed up 10ish minutes before my appointment time, she said it would be a few minutes. 45 minutes later, I am still sitting there waiting for Wendy to be finished. I finally walked over and asked her how much longer it would be. She and the customer were finished and headed up to the counter. She told me appointments don't matter if her favorite customer comes in at the same time. I said my appointment was almost 50 minutes ago, and she said "don't matter" walked away and went into the bathroom. WARNING! Save your time, and hard-earned money, and don't go here! read more

I Called and made an appointment with the lady told me to come in at 6:45 For a full set an a pedicure. They took so long to do my pedicure that I had very little time to get my nails done and I tell the lady what I want and from the pictures it shows tons of marble nails and glitter nails etc. and when I said I wanted lavender Matte And one nail to be marble or granite. she said oh I don't know how to do that the girl that does just left and she said maybe you just come back tomorrow and get your nails done and I said well I can't tomorrow so I set the appointment for today and she was extremely rude and pushy about my nails not getting done and by telling me that they getting my nails Matte they would look dull and dusty and bad. And sadly I would've given a $50 tip to stay a little later to finish my nails but I'm glad I didn't because the pedicure was probably the worst pedicure I've ever had and I shouldn't of even left a tip but I left five dollars and then I booked a last-minute appointment with Ladue nails and spa in Clayton and they were absolutely amazing and the lady stayed an hour after her time and because they fit me in 30 minutes before they closed I took the lady who gave me a pedicure $25 and I tipped the lady who did my nails $35 so they each got a 50% tip for being so amazing. Everyone there was so nice and when I got my pedicure the lady showed me that the prior pedicure was literally terrible. read more

If you go in expecting a fancy Ladue nail salon, you'll be disappointed. If you go in expecting to be treated really well and leave feeling more relaxed... Then your expectations will be met. Nail Luxe is clean, their prices are great ($20 for a spa pedicure) and they do a really nice job. Make sure you pick a time when they are not crowded. My nail technician went above and beyond (spending an hour and a half with me). I paid $6.00 extra for the paraffin wax treatment on my feet. Ohhhh my goodness!!! It was amazing! read more

Let me start off by saying I've been here a couple times and it's ok. But today, was the worst day ever! I came in with the intentions of getting a manicure/acrylic nails. Two ladies were recommending gel nails. I caved in and said "ok I never got it before I'll try but I want to keep my length". The woman doing my nails cut my natural nails down (literally the nails I have been growing she cut all the way down). When I asked to wash my hands she said "no". Mind you there nail dust everywhere and blood (bc she nicked me twice) but she didn't clean anything and I was in awe of how gross it was. She put the equipment back into the draw without cleaning it. She proceeded with the Gel, when she was done she put LOTION on top of my dirty hands. I paid $28 plus a $2 tip bc she wasn't doing a good job (I shouldn't have tipped her at all. When I walked outside, I just couldn't believe how ugly it was. I went in to say "I'm not really happy with what I got, can I just get it changed or a refund or something" and I got yelled at. She never stopped to ask if she was doing good bc she was busy talking to a friend the whole time. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS THEY WERE VERY RUDE! This lady tried to call me broke because she was too lazy to do what I was asking for .. then proceeded to let me know that it would be very expensive for what I wanted . ALSO she knew this was going to be my birthday set , just saying ... she have me a base price of 60$ which I usually pay 100$ for my sets little does she even know trying to tell me I can't pay for what I wanted , she was rushing all over the place no proper technique at all , I asked her to make them a tiny bit thicker because I already know they do shit thin as the fuck with they cheap ass.
