The quality of food is like dog food. If you want pasta don't come here because it's just over priced Chef Boyardee.

When Amici's first came to Monroe I was five star thrilled, but after multiple trips and more than my share of disappointments I am done with the place. The service is horrible, in one word SLOW! And they don't seem to care they are slow. The food has become below average, the two stars is beer related, not to many places in Monroe have beer yet alone a choice, it pains me but pick up a six pack and head home Amici's just doesn't do it anymore in Monroe, here is hoping it changes. read more

Nice looking place. Stopped by for a late lunch (1:30ish) today (Thursday). We ordered a pizza, and it was good. The service here, however, is a completely different story. Their might have been a total of 4 other tables with customers while we were there. The staff was not too concerned about serving. They brought out our pizza, and the waitress then stated "Oh, you need plates". You would think this would be a clue to bring s some. Nope. The main waitress then came around about 5 minutes later, and stated the obvious "Oh, you need plates", and finally brought us some. It took equally as long to pay and get out of the joint. As I said, the food was good, but the service was less than desirable. I don't see us going back. read more

Great food. & best wings in town hands down. They are very expensive though. But they do have specials. Wing Wednesday. You can also purchase a slice of pizza and 5 wing combo for about 8 bucks any day. The food is filling. Friendly staff. read more

We stopped in here over lunch and I was pleasantly surprised. I really try to eat at these local places when I'm out somewhere. I thought the food (Philly Cheese) was great. Our waitress was nice and helpful. We didn't have to wait long for our food which was nice over lunch. Definitely would recommend! read more

Hey the food is good, above average even. However if you are going for lunch you better book some extra time. You normally don't wait to be seated. The staff is friendly but does seem to be short handed. In return your order being taken is quite slow and therefore contributes to the delay in your food coming out. Solid atmosphere, just don't go if you have limited time. read more

This was the worst dinner experience EVER! We had to send our pizza back because the dough was still raw. It was still not edible so they made us a new one... same thing. The manager did not care what so ever, and had a very non caring attitude. We left there and picked up a $5 hot n ready pizza down the road . read more

Table was sticky, benches were worn out. We got the chicken fingers and fries. The chicken fingers were super hard and way over cooked. Then we ordered the "Margherita" 11" pizza. Waaay too much cheese, they didn't even add the basil until I pointed out once the food arrived, and the tomatoes were thrown on there. No sauce whatsoever. It did not taste good at all. The service was okay. The manager or whoever the bald guy was just sat in a booth the entire time. read more

Worst meal ever! The menu advertises the alfredo as being freshly made - no way! Noodles were floating in slimy oil! My husband's pizza had no sauce - unless you consider the dripping grease a topping. $45+ and I came home and threw up. NEVER AGAIN!! read more

They have the best pizza I have ever had in Georgia and their flatbreads are to die for...customer service is always good and friendly like you would expect from a small town cafe. Also they have large screen tvs for the game, so you don't have to miss it while you get your eat on. :) A great family atmosphere. read more

I love their flatbreads and may I just say....such delicious, fresh and crisp salads! I got a Caesar salad the last time I ate here and was so pleasantly surprised. Not much to recommend here. The food is mostly okay most of the time IF they have what you want to order from the menu in stock. Not a lot of atmosphere downstairs but it's pleasant enough. The upstairs ( not handicap accessible) is pretty grungy. The pizza can be good or it can be pretty bad; no consistency in terms of the quality. Similar to Pizza Hut better than Papa John's not as good as Rocky's. Wings are not bad if you go on 50 cent wing night; very limited flavor's but the price is right. The biggest problem with this place is the lack of decent service. When they finally get around to noticing you they'll come and take your drink order and then it's like they forgot about you. When they finally take your order get ready for a long wait and if/when your food arrives expect the order to be screwed up. Have been here many times because well.. There isn't much to choose from in the area , but after the last visit we gave up and won't set foot in this Amici again . If you want Italian; save yourself the aggravation and drive to Mama Maria's in Covington or one of the Amici's in Covington or Madison. read more

My husband, mother in law and myself were visiting Monroe on Saturday 2/15/2020. We decided to have lunch at Amici, we asked some patrons leaving the restaurant about the food. We were told "Awesome". Apparently the people we asked didn't understand the definition of "Awesome". This was the worst dining experience in all of my 57 years here on earth. The food was completely awful. My mother in law and I ordered the Chicken Parmesan. It was the worst, the chicken had a burned taste to it, and when you scraped away the "Prego" tasting sauce you could see that the breading was in fact charred. I asked the waitress for the bread that came with the meal and was told they didn't have any ready which was really a shame since I thought that and the salad was really the only thing edible about the meal. My mother in law said her meal was the same. My husband ordered the wings, he said the chicken wing itself was overcooked and dry but to compensate for that apparently the cook added extra sauce as the dry overcooked wings were absolutely swimming in sauce. I would not recommend anyone to eat here and I know in the future if in Monroe, I will take a brown bag lunch from home before considering lunch at Amici's. read more

We live in Covington but always drive to Monroe for Amici's! The food is always great and the staff is very friendly. We love the upstairs atmosphere for live singing or karaoke nights! read more

This is one of my favorite pizza or calzone places. It's in downtown Monroe which is a nice place to walk around and take in a little country town. The pizza is not greasy and light. The calzones are huge and two people can easily share them.I love this place! Oh and don't forget to get their wedge salad. It's a great one! read more

This is a nice neighborhood place, loud with good food. We had subs and all were great. Seems like a college age atmosphere, and even though we're not quite in the age range (OK, no where near!), the food was worth it. The only thing I have to mention that me to give it a lower rating was the table of guys sitting behind us. Apparently, they were taking turns going to the restroom to partake in some type of illegal activity (pot?) the whole time we were there, and none of the staff either caught it or cared. :( read more

My initial visit to Amici's was o.k. but the next two were less than desirable, I am assuming they have more business than they need as they do not appear to be too interested in greeting you when you enter. The food is very pricey for what you get and you won't see any Italian's in the kitchen. I will find another place to spend my money. Why are children allowed in a place that serves alcohol or is that now allowed. I also find the owners and new mgr. rather snooty. read more

We went to what used to be a favorite restaurant of ours Sunday afternoon only to wait for an HOUR for our food. The dining room was only half full. They gave my wife's 2 slices to her for free and gave us an order of cheese sticks to keep us from walking. This was the absolutely last time we will be attending. If the store is under new management it is not helping. read more

I had a party of 12 people meet there for my birthday dinner at 530pm on a Saturday night, nothing crazy just some grown adults out for a nice dinner and drinks with no kids! I got there at 5 because they said no reservations so I wanted to make sure my friends and I could all sit together. The young man upstairs at first was nice and said what ever we wanted or needed he would make it happen. Our server was fantastic and did a wonderful job, we all had dinner and having some drinks listening to music and laughing and having a great time, not being loud or rude to other people in the restaurant, we all had a good time even the other tables joined in on some of our laughs. I was sitting there and the bartender walked up and said well you all are done, no reason , nothing else said but it was his decision and he decided it was time for us to go????? UMMMM why ? what was your reason?? his words " I don't have to have a reason" and then yelled over everyone in the bar something to the effect of this is what you get when you ask people to leave? NOW... we are all over the age of 35 and have never been treated that way. We all paid our bills and left and the other party of 8 or 9 from a different table came with us because they said they didn't see why we had to leave so they said they didn't want to remain in a place the kicks people out for no reason. You lost a lot of money for no reason ... I have lived in Monroe for over 18 years and always thought we had such a friendly little town , that man needs a new job and not working with the public. I do not recommend this place if you want to enjoy a night out with friends for your birthday !!! read more

first of all. we had 20 millions waitresses none of which ever did anything we asked them to. my mother probably asked for water and the check at least 2 times from each of our many waitresses and never received water and waited 20 minutes to get our check, but that's not even the worst of it. i gave up meat for lent this year and when i ordered a ceasar salad i told the waitress twice to make sure there was no bacon in my salad. sadly when i received my salad and took a bite i soon realized there was bacon in it forcing me to run to the bathroom and spit out the bite i had taken. i understand that we all make mistakes but i made it very clear i could not eat meat and even after they never apologized for the incident. overall i would not recommend amici to anyone as my experience there was extremely disappointing to say the least, unless you want to be poisoned and receive terrible service, of course then you should totally go. i hope amici suffers. read more

Waste of time and money. I paid this place to piss me off. We waited close to one hour to get our food after we ordered. When the food finally did come...wait let me say that again.. when half of the orders came they were not only wrong but room temp. One of my kids pizza slice never came and the other childs pizza had the wrong toppings. The food was cold and tasted no better than what comes out of a frozen dinner box. At most of the restaurants I have been too they bring the salad out first. Well the salad didn't come out before the entrée it didn't come out at all. It really was nice of them to tell us that they removed the items we never got off of the bill. I hope they didn't expect me to pay for them in the first place. Chances on trying this place again are slim to none. Oh one more thing, the manager was aware of us waiting and about the wrong orders but neglected to come say anything. read more

Second and last visit. First visit, the "Italian" restaurant was out of meatballs...they devote an entire page of their menu to meatball dishes. Second and last visit the food runner refused to refill a glass of sweet tea bc that's not her "job". I asked her to grab my waitress and after three drive by's I asked the same runner if she in fact notified my server that we were out of sweet tea, she said no. We were at the top bar, there were TWO tables w people eating so they were not busy. I asked her again to grab my server for a refill. She did. I informed our server of the behavior of her co-worker and she grabbed the manager, who turned out to be the new owner. He was not very happy with his employees' behavior...so what did he do? Nothing. No offer to wait on us, no offer for a dessert, no offer to personally ensure that our remaining experience at HIS new restaurant would be exceptional and he would like our return service. And to top it all off...they served two cold meatball subs. Cold marinara, cold congealed cheese, cold bread. Unbelievable. I never spoke another word. I will speak with my wallet.
