In terms of value/price + convenience this is 4-5 stars, but in terms of actual flavor of the pizza, a solid "3" ("Good" in my book). Old school booth dining, fast service, pay at the counter before you sit. Friendly crew working, prepping the pizza right in front of you. Buy it by the slice, thin or thick crust--I got a slice of each, very filling (esp that thick crust). $2 draft beer including craft--this is a beer/drinking/college town for sure, it seems. This location is located in the heart of downtown Athens. There's plenty of seating and orders are made right in front of you. They sell by the slice or pie. I only bought a slice because I parked near by and my niece needed to use the bathroom and our actually destination was too far. I didn't eat the pizza right away so it could be the fact I didn't eat it fresh but my slice wasn't worth 5$ in my opinion. Proably a great place to soak up a night out of drinking, it's located by a bar. I always get thin crust pizza- its the best ever and if you get some jalapeños, be sure to be prepared for heat. I can't believe a single slice with 2 toppings cost me $7 the last time I was in there. I used to get three slices for that several years ago. The inside still looks more or less the same, with the exception of the installation of the Covid guards. Service isn't stellar, but they've never really been known for their friendliness, haha. It was almost like one of their signature traits, how blunt the pizza slingers were. Little Italy is a great place in downtown Athens across the street from South end of the the UGA campus. They serve hot and cold sandwiches, pizza by the slice and whole pies, and salads; think antipasto. There might be other items on the menu I don't recall. I got the Meatball Parm, which was quite good. You can order a 6 inch or a 12 inch sandwich. The 12 inch is big enough to share, and it's conveniently cut in half. Beer and soft drinks are offered. Pro tip: If you want something stronger after your meal, the quite excellent Road House is right next door. It opens at 2:00 p.m. A little bit late lunch followed by a stop at The Road House next door is where it's at if one is at liberty to do so. The service was friendly and prompt. I went there around 1:00 p.m., and it wasn't busy. At night, however, it gets packed with UGA kids when they are done drinking at one or more of the numerous bars in downtown Athens. The place is quite roomy with lots of tables and booths. As depicted in my pics, the love for the UGA Dawgs is strong here. It's a legit very reasonably priced pizzeria. Cheers! read more

This is the one spot in Athens that genuinely has NY style pizza. I got 2 simple slices of thin slice cheese pizza and for the portion, the price was fair. The pizza was cooked to perfection and had just the right amounts of flavor. I also got a veggie sub which was SO good and filled with lots of veggies and cheese. Both meals were very filling and the service was quick and friendly! The atmosphere of the place has a very downtown diner vibe, but it's a good spot to come hangout with friends. Ordered on Uber eats after it being highly recommended from friends. I was honestly disappointed. I ordered a slice with pepperoni and extra cheese. It barely had any cheese or sauce.... we also ordered an Italian hoagie. The bread was so hard on the outside, no onions, not enough mayo or vinaigrette. I didn't even taste vinaigrette to be honest. I think there was just a little oil. It just wasn't good if you have ever had a good hoagie. But I just spent the last 10 years living in Philly and last three in South Philly. Granted, my pizza was an odd slice: pepperoni and pineapple (don't judge), but what I got was clearly a piece of pepperoni pizza that had been sitting out that they just put some pineapple on from a can in the fridge or something, because it was cold. This little hidden gem is one of the best places to get pizza in Athens! (And maybe all of Georgia too!!) It doesn't look all that nice and you think the pizza isn't great but once you try it you will always be back for more!! Once you walk in you're greeted with fresh, fired smelling pizza making your mouth water. They have many different options like whole, half, and slice pizzas, subs, and stromboli's. I got a slice of the classic cheese pizza and the piece was as big as my head!! The crust was nice, golden brown with flaky edges and the pizza sauce was delicious!! She ordered her meatball sub and I ordered my sausage sub. We couldn't finish them. They were absolutely disgusting. I honestly can't TELL you what about my sub was disgusting - I can just say that when I took a bite my throat convulsed and tried to reject the food. Maybe it was the grease? Maybe it was some strange instinct trying to protect me? Whatever - it was horrible.
