Let me open by saying I've eaten here many times and it was great. Today was a fail. Should've known when I arrived and the kitchen staff was out front smoking. Walked in and ordered a calzone and beer, easy enough. After what seemed like a long wait my food arrived, I soon would find out why it took so long. Counter staff immediately offered to remake it. I looked it over and said it'd be fine. Should've looked underneath. It was burnt black. The only saving grace was whoever owns this place pays for good ingredients. I had ordered pepperoni and mushroom. They were all gathered on one side. You could tell the cook couldn't have cared less about the quality of preparation. I was already pressed for time so I ate as much as I could stomach. Overall it was disappointing. Usually this place crushes it. Today these people didn't give a care about what they were serving. Told an employee when I left the cook was killing their business. Pictures included for reference. Who ever manages this place ought to be fired, what a waste. I'll skip Sliced next time. Having dinner with the grandsons and chose Sliced on Elm. Was $2 slice night. Cashier was sure it was only for cheese slices but wasn't sure about adding toppings. After a brief engagement with the register she determined that it was an additional .75 per topping added. Let's just say it she made it more confusing than it should have been. Once we got that figured out we placed our order and headed over to the area where the pool tables were at. I do t want to knock the place too badly because the food was pretty good. My observation is that the area we were in seemed to need some living / upgrading. Pool tables need recovered and the salt and pepper shakers at our table were really dirty. Later we discovered that the girl running the register was the owner. I know everyone has an off day, but I feel like she should have known about the daily special. Overall good pizza and would probably return if ever in this area. I will also say she and other staff members were super nice and attentive. Thanks. read more

I eat here probably once a month and it's always good. They are almost always out of a topping or two especially since covid. I love veggie pizzas and their pesto veggie has fried eggplant and sun dried tomatoes among other things. It's absolutely delicious and beats any veggie pizza around! Also know that their soda is some local brand and the flavors are strong so try a little before you commit to a full cup. Also know going in that this is not your foldable NY style pizza, it's the type of dough that's going to get that crispier bottom so if that's not your thing you might not like this place. They also have huge calzones and the marinara sauce is amazing!! My husband loves eating here because of how much ricotta cheese they put in the calzones. read more

Commerce location. Firstly: I was the only person who did not enjoy the food. Service was good considering it was fairly busy. I had the meatball sandwich. Super disappointed in the meatballs. There were 3x 1/2 meatballs. I have never seen that done B4. They had approx 90% bread crumbs in the mixture. No meat flavor at all I'm sorry to say. Seasoning was good, sandwich was toasted nicely w/ dripping cheese n sauce. BUT the star of the sandwich is to be the meatballs-period. Very squishy 1/2 meatballs on the bun. Can't think of a word to describe the consistency. It was displeasing, I did not finish it and left. My companions had no problems with their orders. I should have ordered the Pesto Chicken sandwich. can't remember having any prob w/the pizzas or calzones in the past year. You may want to avoid the meatball sandwich. Or at least ask how many WHOLE meatballs will be on your sandwich. It is a $12 sandwich afterall. read more

They charge for using a credit card and don't tell you up front. As a small business owner myself, this is a cost of doing business. Handling cash is not a cheaper option for businesses. Cash must be counted and deposited in person, and an employee usually will be paid more for their time than a CC fee would've charged. read more

I would never give you a one star especially after talking to the manager. I picked up a pizza that was so cold it was like it had been in the refrigerator for a day. I called to complain and the manager of this store seemed like he didn't care and was defensive as to what I had to say.He said there was no way that happenend and I tried to to tell him and he hung on me. I will definitely being going back to Johnny's in Jefferson because that manager cares about his reviews. read more

We love the sliced in commerce. Even though there are not many decent pizza restaurants in the neighborhood, if at all, sliced still wins out as one of our favorite pies. They prepare a nice thin crust with a nice tangy but mellow sauce and not too much cheese. They are fairly generous with the toppings. The service is worth mentioning: the people on the register and phone have always been responsive. We've had a mistake or two when ordering, and they've always made up for their mistake and fix the problem. read more

If I'm paying $70 for 2 pizzas and 2 orders of fried mozzarella it should at least be good. Way overpriced for the quality of food. An updated menu with prices on your Facebook page or website would also be helpful for customers ordering to go. The staff was so so friendly, and the NY style pizza was delicious and the salads were fresh and tasty! They also have a very cool soda machine and the manager was happy to help give recommendations on how to mix the vanilla agave flavor with the root beer flavor to taste like an ice cream float. Honestly the friendliest, warmest staff ever. We were traveling and will definitely be back! (Give these women a Bonus!). Definitely worth getting 4 miles off the highway to have a great experience and the kids who were there had games and crayons to play with too. Great for families. read more

It's been over a year since that dismal first visit to Sliced on Elm. Back in 2017, the notables were food that tasted average at best and an internal atmosphere which felt unclean. One year later, I find myself returning to Sliced, primarily to attend a civic meeting in the pool room. So of course we needed to order a couple of large "Ol' Clifford" pizzas to feed the eight of us -- you know, so we could make decisions on those important business matters. So what's changed in one year? My first observation was that they've dressed up the place, at least to a small extent. The pool room maybe less so, but the booth side seems to have gotten some paint and redecorating love. And, hey, that smokey mess in the kitchen seems to have gone away. Good for them! I would say that it's still too dark inside here -- maybe they will install more lighting as part of the redecorating effort. I don't particularly know if the food has improved. On the last visit, my calzone was average. The pizza on this visit was hot and free (thanks, civic group!) -- so I was thankful to stuff hot and free pizza into my face. The crust was at least better than Pizza Hut, so that's saying something. And, the fountain fruit punch was NOT watered down this time, so that's notable improvement! The staff were notable on this visit. We had asked them to turn down the stereo in the pool room so we could have audible business discussion. The staff were happy to do that for us, and they were attentive to our group throughout the meeting. It sounds like our civic group will hold next month's meeting at Sliced on Elm, so that's a testament to the staff and the experience. Bottom line -- that previous 2-Star review gets a two star bump today. Good job, Sliced! read more

Our first visit was perfect! A great selection of Cold beer and amazing pizza and calzones. I will be back and play pool!

Tried this place for the first time 3/19/22. Ordered the garlic knots and homemade marinara to start, fresh, hot and delicious. We also ordered the Chief ana a White pizza with ham and pineapple. The pizzas were brought to our table in less than 15 minutes piping hot and smelling fantastic. Everything was made from scratch and to order. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area. read more

This was my wife's and I first visit. The place looks like it has a lot of "history" but the pizza was great and the fried mozzarella slices were just as fantastic. What made the visit even better was the hard working young lady out front. She was extremely busy but with the perfect attitude! I recently ate here for lunch while in the area working. Bread knots are served as you are seated. The pizza is very good as well as their salads. Their lunch prices are good too. The Greek Salad was based on iceberg lettuce, so that could be improved a bit, but the dressing was very good. The "white" pizza with pepperoni was outstanding. All in all, the food was very good, and the service is very good, too. They also have some arcade and a new ghostbusters pinball machine if you are into pinball. read more

Woooowww!!! Stopped in while in town for my son's football game. The slices are huge and heavy, weighed down by VERY HIGH QUALITY toppings!! You can order pizza by the slice also. The portions are massive, you can share a salad or the garlic knots (they're to die for) and a large pizza can easily feed 3 adults. Food is great if they aren't out of what you're looking for. Here recently, they have been hit or miss on quality. Sometimes it's perfect, other times it's been thrown everywhere in the box, or half of the pizza is nothing but bubbled up. As far as service, they are lacking from my experiences. If you manage to get through on the phone they'll just put you on "hold" for 7-10 minutes which consists of them placing the phone on the counter and doing something else. Meanwhile the line is busy for everyone else. If you go in person, it's the typical pizza pub atmosphere, just during peak times finding a parking spot can be a chore. read more

This may be my new favorite pizza! The sauce and cheese both seem like top notch quality. I like pepperoni and pepperoncinis, which they only have whole to add to salads. I asked them to slice them and add them to the pizza.... they did! SO SO SO good! The garlic knots are yummy too. Such a neat atmosphere and the cashier was the nicest!
