Brought bread and marinara sauce to the table, which I did not plan to eat as I was saving room for my Stromboli, but it was gone before I knew it. The Stromboli was delicious with a perfect combination of Italian meats and cheeses. I ordered the small and it easily made two meals for me. Of course I did eat all of the started bread! Great to be back where you can get good pizza. We just got back into Georgia and this place we frequented before but, now our new home is 10 minutes away. Always good pizza here. We had the meat lover with added banana peppers. Cooked perfectly, great and tasty ingredients. I didn't like the food. I had a baked ziti type of dish, hubby had a pizza - brought home the left-overs. Service was good initially, slowed down after a while. We were the only 2 in the restaurant. I soooo don't like that feeling - ambiance was lacking - think brightly lit pizzeria feel, and not in a good way. With typical restaurant checks in the ~$75-80 range for 2, I have to get the best food for our money. Real NY style pizza. The ingredients used are the real thing. Expect a little greasiness from the cheese and toppings. It's the price you pay for authentic pizza. Delicious! Ordering takes place at the front, then you sit at your table in anticipation and eat the fresh-baked bread with marinara dipping sauce. Finally, the pie is proudly presented to you at your seat. The service is all that it needs to be. Efficient but not overdone. The ambiance is that of a genuine neighborhood Italian spot complete with the red and white plaid tablecloths and murals adorning the walls. I'm a bit of an Italian food snob because I had the privilege of living in southern Italy for a few years, so I rarely dine at any American restaurants touting themselves as Italian. I know the founder or owner of Napoli's is from southern Italy and I know the menu items can be prepared in traditional Neapolitan ways, but in order to appeal to American tastes he has to alter the recipes. A Caprese Salad for instance is not served on a giant bed of lettuce, no lettuce ever actually. And in southern Italy at no time did I ever get balsamic vinegar on a Caprese either. The pizza's at Napoli's are pretty close, but again, there is a big difference between real Italian pizza and an American version trying to be a close to real as possible. The food there is all really very good, it's worth it to dine at Napoli's. They beat the hell out of any chain Pizza place that's for sure. I do wish the ordering process and dining in service was different though. Having to order at the counter is kind of a pain in the you know what. read more
