Worst AMC theater I've been to. Not only do the seats have awkward controls... but (the worst part is) there are no tables. Who offers a DINE-IN service just to get apps, meals, etc served in giant floppy plastic containers to hold on your lap in a darkened theater. Lucky we did not have people on the side of us as we used to the seats as an extra table for our meals while we shared an app. Then I got food on my short trying to balance and eat and take a sip. Not the hardest thing until eating with no table in a darkened area. Small thing with annoying repercussions. Other things were bad, but this was such a dumb critical thing to lack... it will def be my last time there. There are others far superior (better food, seating, picture quality, and above all... actual tables to eat) around. read more

I "love me them reclining seats" and popcorn schlepped to you! My son swears by the chicken tenders and biscuits and quite frankly the chicken tenders are delicious! I normally order the lettuce cups which are very flavorful and crunchy. I really haven't noticed filth as some of the other yelpers describe, and I am hypersensitive to filthy... Came to see Mary Poppins (loved it!) The screen was kind of scratched and blurry... Other than that, my lettuce cups were delicious, I wolfed down a whole bucket of popcorn - I had no one else to share it with... Yay me! (OK so no one wanted to see Mary Poppins with me...). The place used to be amazing- now it's a second rate movie theatre but you'll still pay top dollar for "dine in" service which you can't even get! My BF and I went about three weeks for dine in. We went to order food at our seats and it wouldn't go through on the app. Manager said now you have to order 30 minutes in advance. Otherwise " no food for you!" - but - just two weeks prior when we went to see another dine in movie - we had food delivered to our seats and we certain did not order 30 minutes in advance. Who makes the rules at this place?! Disorganized. No service. It's unclean and the popcorn sucks. It just now reeks of being very out dated and mismanaged. No thanks. I have been going to this movie theater for a few years and generally had positive experiences. The seats are comfortable and the staff generally friendly and helpful. The popcorn tastes good and you can order a variety of foodstuffs. In the "dine in" theaters, you can press a button and someone will come and take your order and subsequently deliver your food. There is a full bar for people who wish to consume alcoholic beverages. They show typical movies plus a measurable quantity of independent and non traditional films. This means you can sometimes experience a high quality independent film without needing to go to an uncomfortable "artsy" movie theater with threadbare seats. Sometimes the temperature in the theater is too hot. They will fix the problem but it is emblematic of a general lack of attention to important detail. One movie screen has a tear or discoloring on the side of of the screens which can reduce the comfort of the movie. Some of the seats are becoming damaged and it's disappointing that they have failed to properly maintain them. The dine in food gives me stomach aches so I very much wish they would make some appropriate changes. Perhaps they are using some nasty chemicals??? They need to better police drunk and roudy people, especially given that they serve alcohol. If you want to avoid the less desirable clientele stay away on Friday and Saturday nights. Conversely, matinees on the weekend can provide a pleasurable experience for a more refined personality. read more

Our two recliner chairs were not working. Two employees tipped the chairs forward to reattach the plugs. Under the chairs were large piles of popcorn and other trash. Disgusting. The table in front of me had not been cleaned; popcorn mess. Yet the theater advertises "deep cleaning." Ha! The website has no way of emailing it to complain. If theaters are distressed because of low attendance, it's not hard to figure out why. read more

As an AMC Stubs member, I love coming to this theater. Discount tickets on Tuesdays, free upgrades on sodas/popcorn - the benefits are awesome. The seats are comfy (but SQUEAKY), although I wish the legs came up a BIT higher. The movie quality is always good, but I have to say: the service SUCKS. We went twice for moms' nights out and both times had horrendous service. The second time, people ended up leaving the theater to go order drinks at the bar & snacks at the concession stand, thereby missing the beginning of the movie. The first time, they completely messed up our drink orders and we had to wait around for 20+ minutes while they fixed it (they did give us comp coupons to make up for it). When we DO get service, it takes a long time - and the most recent time, the server mixed our order with someone else's. And the bathrooms are DISGUSTING. Literally every toilet except 2 were clogged or just not flushed. Another patron commented that it's been like this for years. When I told the bartender, all she said was "you're the second person to tell me..." No apology, no surprise... I'll still come here, because it's convenient, they have decent times (although sometimes the times are not great) and the Stubs membership. But I will be prepared for bad service. read more

Ridiculously understaffed for a Sunday night. Trashed not emptied. No Coke in any of the machines. 30 minute wait at concessions. Staff was friendly. Staff were doing their jobs. They were just understaffed. There just wasn't anyone there to empty the trash or there would be anyone to sell tickets, or sell popcorn. Where were the managers? The manager could have emptied the trash. The manager could have filled the soda machines. Just saying. read more

I'm not a big movie goer. I'm more inclined to wait for them to come out on DVD, then I can hang out in my pj's with a glass of wine. But AMC Framingham is a close second. The chairs recline. And I can have my wine. I even wore yoga pants and a hoodie - which is about as close to pj's in public as you can get. The parking lot is huge. You can buy tickets online - and reserve your seat ahead of time. The waiters were unobtrusive. My only beef was with the seating layout - it's almost like the whole place is set up for deuces. If you have an odd number in your group, someone will end up sitting alone. We were a group of 3, so I ended up sitting with a random stranger. read more

FRAMINGHAM AMC THEATRE- Other than the movie, everything is downhill from there. Years ago they had a separate bar area and dining tables seperate from the rest of the theatre that had great mahogany wood decor and a movie theatre that served food for the adults. When they did the renovation eight ago they put a bar in the middle of the walkway where there are kids and families walking by and it is a very unappealing place to drink. The dine in service is now a joke. The food is lousy. No one comes to the theatre to take your Food order any longer. The place is filthy and gross. The trash cans are ALWAYS overflowing with garbage and food. There is so much soda and butter and popcorn on the floor at the concession stands it is a hazard just navigating and trying not to slip and fall. There has to be mice galore in this place as there is no attempt at cleanliness as I have seen one scurrying along the seats in front of me. This could be a great place to watch a movie but when you don't have management to make people do what they are supposed to do this is what you get. I don't even know if there are any managers employed here as I see they are always looking for managers. Corporate better pay up and pay managers enough so they will stay. Oh I forgot, if you like bathrooms where you step in piss and the toilets have poop all over them and there is NO toilet paper you have given up and are telling everyone you do not want to be in business. It was NOT like this before the bad makeover. I am surprised that the town, the state health departments or the FDA has not shut this place down because of the filth, rodents and disease that must be there. But no.....everyday the same thing. Someone in The Local and/or State Health Department must be getting the "green handshake" for letting this Food Safety and general health concerns go because they are as complicit as AMC Corporate is. Don't want to see another movie theatre closed down, but is is better than to see the health safety problems go on and put our lives in danger. read more

This theater is dirty. The refreshment area isn't sanitary. The trash is full, counters aren't wiped down, butter dispenser is dripping and trash is all over the floor. We got to our pre- paid seats in theater 15 and the floor had spilled popcorn everywhere and our seats had spilled soda and popcorn on the seats. It's obvious no one is cleaning prior to the next movie.. The bathrooms has unsanitary stalls, overflowing trash cans and toilet paper all over the floor. Parents beware! I wouldn't take your kids here. The board of health should do an inspection! Shame on you AMC especially for the prices you charge. read more

Absolutely disgusting. I was scared to eat, go to the bathroom and sit in on the recliners because it was so dirty. There was urine and and toilet paper all over the ladies room, every single trash was overflowing and the soda fountain station was so sticky and smelly. This all falls back on the higher ups. Not the hard working employees that make minimum wage. I would seriously think AMC makes enough money to hire staff to clean throughout operating hours. read more

I'm honestly surprised at so many negative reviews of this place. We've been going semi-regularly for three years, and have yet to see a mouse, or have any particularly bad experiences. We usually go to the dine-in theatre, and often will make a trip more for the food than the movie. The menu isn't expansive, or very vegetarian friendly (bacon on EVERYTHING, guys?), but I genuinely enjoy a lot of the things I order there regularly, and I can get those things without bacon (it's just annoying when previews are blasting to have to make special requests). Staff can be hit or miss, but I've had some really, really good servers here. When I've had to go to the bar or counter, I've consistently had super slow service, and a bartender who seemed to not understand that he had served me a beer from a kicked keg, but once I told him, he replaced the beer with zero fuss. Overall the service is fine, which is just fine with me. I don't have a ton of expectations when I go to a movie theatre, and usually I get my ticket scanned, am directed to my seat, and almost always served in a reasonable amount of time. What else do you really need? In the past year or so, I have noticed a downgrade in quality overall--used to get a cloth napkin with a full set of silverware, now get a paper napkin and just a fork (?); but the food is tasty, and I like to be served beer and food while watching a movie. Recently too, they seem to have enacted a drinks limit, which is a bit odd. I was informed while ordering a second beer today, that there is now a limit of two drinks per movie. When I saw Avengers Infinity War, there was a limit of three drinks per movie. I'm sure there was an incident that precipitated these limits, but I wish staff would tell me when I initially order, so that we don't then have to have a conversation while the movie is going on. To sum up: decent food, service is fine, haven't seen a mouse (we've gone to matinees exclusively, so maybe they only come out at night?). I also bring my own takeaway containers to bring home leftovers, since they don't offer them. read more

I liked the reclining chairs. Didn't like that they were covered in food. Also, like a lot of theaters now you can reserve your spot, we did. For some reason the theater size was so tiny that the people in the first row must have all got neck cramps because it's so close to the screen. We were in row B and I found it uncomfortable and weird how close we were to the screen you had to crank your neck up and the seat all the way back. I honestly never saw anything like that before. I guess that's a tip for people booking their tickets online- be aware that row 1 isn't even an option for anyone wanting to watch a movie comfortably/ at all. Overall disappointed with my experience. First, this theater doesn't take cash because of the alleged coin shortage from last year. Very simple solution would be to adjust the prices so everything comes up to an even dollar. So they didn't get my popcorn money. Second the seats are not comfortable. I've been to other AMC and have grown to like the reclining leather seats. Not here. I could never get it into the right orientation and I kept sliding around on it. Third, there was no way to get the stupid food tray to fold down and away. Fourth, the sound was way too loud during the previews and early commercials. I really wanted to like this movie theatre. I really did. While it looks to be aging from the outside, it did appear well maintained. I've heard all positive remarks from others about this place, including good value and extremely comfortable seating arrangements. And honestly, even though it's a lot to look through, I should have skimmed the Yelp reviews upon coming here, as I will be the ninth review to reference mice. I cannot comment on mice being everywhere; however, on June 26 2019 there were at least two mice in theatre 7. Gross. I get it, it's tough since they can fit in a hole smaller than a dime; however, something needs to be done to combat it if eight other reviews are referencing it and there is food being served in the establishment. Our entire group just got up and left entirely and got a refund from the manager, who apologized and said "they take the concerns" seriously; however, if they really addressed these seriously there shouldn't be so many reviews that reference mice. For reference, I searched the word "mouse" in the Yelp reviews for other comparable movie theatre's in the area and got no results. Not pleased and won't be returning. Not worth the hassle with so many other options around. 1 star, not happy. read more

Really easy to get in, get snacks and see the movie. The seats are comfy and make for a nice time. The mice are the reason for the poor review. We saw 4 mice running around on the floor throughout the movie. We told someone and they said, ah yes, we've known about that. I don't get to the movies often so when I do go I usually get the popcorn and soda to finish out the treat. They have big bags and I've never liked putting the butter on just the top but oh well. The place could use more cleaning and the bathrooms are beyond the ticket taker which has always bugged me. The afternoon prices are always cheaper like most theaters. read more

The place is obviously under managed and rarely cleaned, there is trash and food every where. I ordered food and was hesitant to even eat it if I even got it (never got it because they forgot my order). I worried about maybe how dirty their kitchen was if they can barely keep the theaters clean and take out the trash.... Don't order food just watch the movie. read more

Second experience this week with AMC. One in NJ and now in Boston (at their supposed 'high end' dine in experience). I can't express this enough to AMC leadership. Clean house with local location leadership and up your cleanliness and customer experience games. The carpets are filled with popcorn (we went to a 9:15PM show and the floors were unacceptable; period. If the Districts or Regionals were there, people would be fired immediately. Once we were seated, my wife put her hand in dried soda which was evidence that the seats were not wiped down. Additionally, my tray and armrest were not wiped down. It was clear to me that this establishment had the wrong people running it and moreover, the wrong employees to really care about the customer. Our server in all fairness was great and fast. The food we ordered had some unexpected substitutions (fries instead of tater tots, cold and freezer burn tasting pretzel bites. We simply had the server take the items off the check. This says to me that the kitchen employees are also either apathetic or simply too busy. Either way, the food is expensive for what you get so this needs to also be fixed. Lastly, there is a dine in option for AMC by my home in NJ. AMC, you're getting one last try with me. If you mess this up on the third try, I'll gladly go elsewhere; many cinemas in the NY/NJ area. I recently went to iPIC in Fort Lee which was an almost stellar experience. The chairs and fixtures are wiped down and the theaters are much smaller so cleanup and maintenance is a much smaller scale. read more

Drove an hour to come here for our anniversary. We were not advised when booking online that half the theaters including the one we were in did not have tables. When they brought our food which was 2 meals an appetizer and a dessert, we had to hold and eat off our laps. The prices of the food were about restaurant level but the cocktails were extremely expensive and despite the bartender being polite and im sure making the drinks according to his manual they were awful. Called in to speak to the manager about the experience and while he was apologetic, there were no refunds, discounts or even a coupon offered for the terrible time we had. The whole time I felt like she was being very rude and condescending to me, she kept following me around and I felt very threatened and unsafe.she kept looking at me with this very mean look as I was waiting for my movie because I was early before it starts.I don't know if she was just mad I got there early but she was very disrespectful asking me many questions,I just came to watch a movie and I don't know what her issue with me was.When I finished with the movie as I was leaving she told me to never come back and do this again,I was confused because I literally did nothing and I just left and I heard her call me fat right as I left. read more

My main complaint is that the menu for the dine in theaters contains nothing even remotely healthy. It is virtually impossible to have a meal under 800 calories (except for the flatbreads). I ended up ordering a dry salad so as not to break the calorie bank. The prices are also very high. Additionally, ticket prices feel expensive and the bathrooms tend to be gross. However, I would be remiss not to say the seats are amazingly comfortable! I love being able to put my feet up and recline the chair. As a straight cinema, this place is great. My review would be 4-5 stars for that. The value you get at this cinema for the Dine-In experience leaves a bit to be desired. The food they offer is pub food but it's horribly over-priced. It's good but very little of it is healthy. It's actually mostly high calorie. For 2 people, we cheaped out with sharing 1 meal and it ended up being a $70 night for us. We could have went to a restaurant prior and got our own better meals for less. It sucks because the food is good and it's cool to eat while watching a movie but there are better places I can do that. It's not worth the money. read more

I really love this movie theater. It's clean and comfortable and in great condition. Tickets aren't too overpriced and they have these amazing, luxurious sofas that recline and cradle you. Very awesome. My only complaint about this place is that sometimes those beautiful reclining sofas get unplugged from the wall and I'm forced to stick my hand behind the sofa and find the power cord and blindly plug it back in. They have to do something about that! There's got to be a better way. Maybe one of those plugs that lie flat against the outlet and then lead down? You know what I mean? I don't know, SOMETHING. Concession stand is highway robbery but it's to be expected, that's how all theaters are. They do have one of those amazing build your own soda/diabeetus machines though with over a bajillion soda combos available. Just do what I do, Lazy Sunday it. Get a backpack and pack it real nice. It's a good movie theater with over priced concessions. I'm ok with that because they need to make money. They have relaxing seats. But, I have one problem. The seats are disgusting!!! They barely clean in between movies, there is popcorn in between the seats stuffed anywhere you could think of. It's just so disgusting and there is grease on the seat controls. Also, the leather on the seats is peeling off the actual seats. You know where there is more grease? THERE IS HEAD GREASE! This was spectacular. My first time at a theater with dinner service, I was blown away by the comfort and convenience. I wasn't even hungry but I had to order some food. The only reason I'm not giving this place five stars is that as long as movie theaters sell their concessions for six times what they're worth, they can't be awarded a perfect score. My ticket price was $15. That's fine. My five small, room temperature "biscuit poppers" were $8. That's excessive, even for someone wallowing in the sheer joy of reclining with table service in a movie theater. Still though, the drinks got free refills and our waitress Claire was terrific. I'm not complaining... much. If you don't mind splurging, this is a really great way to enjoy a night out at the movies. read more

The AMC Framingham is in the midst of remodeling. That is a good thing because other theaters in the area got nicer. The issue is that a bunch of cons were added to the pros. PRO: They are putting in big plush reclining seats with power tilt and foot cushions. It looks luxurious. CON: It is hard to be close to your partner. So, date night loses some of its benefits. :-( Also, forget the "coat chair" between you and the person next to you. PRO: High quality curved screens and the digital projection is a significant improvement. No question. BIG BIG CONS: (1) All seats can be reserved. Forget that last minute decision to drop by to watch a movie. Make sure that you book your seats in advance or you could get stuck. (2) You will also pay for the privilege of buying on-line. So, here is a very sneaky price increase. (3) WARNING: The front row seats are too close to the screen. They WILL make you sick. I was stuck in the front row -- got sick during the previews -- and walked out. To give fair credit, the management did give a refund. At the end of the day, I think they went to far with the upgrade. I always liked the idea of saying, "hey, honey lets see what's playing and go to the movies!" Now, you have to plan it, reserve in advance and pay extra for the privilege of doing it on-line. I think that next time I will look for another theater for that must-see movie. read more

I really love the novelty of this place! Coming from NYC we don't have things like this so its really cool to be served with food/drinks while you watch a movie. The movie's here are definitely more expensive but I think its warranted for the very comfortable, spacious electronic reclining/adustable movie chairs. I'm pretty sure I was the most excited person to walk into the movie theater because of all this... The dining service was also standard; mostly glad they don't interrupt you to pay and just leave the bill so you don't miss any part of the movie. place is falling apart. went lastnight to watch dune 2, walked in the thearter and as I was trying to find my seat I notice completely broken seats everywhere. to top it off I found my seat eventually and it was broken too. it was like an 800lb person sat in it and crushed it. I went to ask for a new seat and they moved me to the other side TO ANOTHER BROKEN SEAT. I was like whatever I'll just watch the movie and then I notice I can't put my feet up on the recliner because my feet would hit the person infront of me. This theater is in desperate need of renovations. The screens are very old and there are glitches on the screen during the movie. The food here seems to be even worse than other theaters. They also are not good at crowd control and there often seems to be lines when there shouldn't be. This theater is in a prime spot and I am sure they are cranking in money .... the owners need to step up and put a little TLC into the place! read more
