Took my 9 year old grandson to see MPR. He thought the place was nice and cozy and old-fashioned.

This is a great option for seeing an IMAX film. I confess it pales a little in comparison to the…read moreReading venue but as the business manager helpfully pointed out (thank you!) it seats half as many and I think the screen is smaller. Still, it beats the other IMAX theaters because of the comfortable seating and the buttkickers (rumbling vibrations). I met a friend there to see Godzilla v. Kong -- he had never been to a Jordan's IMAX and was surprised the seats didn't recline, but that didn't bother either of us. I was surprised that it wasn't packed for the first weekend of release but maybe it was the day before Easter, maybe it isn't as popular as I thought it would be (the movie) or maybe Natick doesn't get as much play, hard to say in one visit. But it worked to our advantage! I got in line about 30 minutes before the movie was due to start and they didn't let us in much before that. You enter from the back of the theater, which makes things much easier (in Reading you enter from the front/bottom and have to race up steps to get your seat of choice if it's packed). Otherwise, the experience was just as enjoyable. I think Reading is still my go-to, but I wouldn't hesitate to go to Natick if Reading wasn't available. It's nice to have options. We are very lucky to live in the Boston area. Oh, and I know some are put off by the lack of reserved seating, but you figure it out, just get there early if you're worried about getting the seat you want. And yes, one does have to walk through the store but several delightfully friendly sales people were happy to point me in the right direction and I didn't get too far before there was signage, so not to worry. Support our local theaters!!!!

Really over-rated place. First, you'll need a road map to find the theater once you actually enter…read morethe building. Second, widescreen experiences are only as good as the room they're in. This room is too small, and the screen is too large. There are only a handful of good seats. All others are too close to the screen. You'll get a stiff neck struggling to see the full picture, and rapid movement and extreme closeups will give you a headache. The special effects sound was also much too loud. And to the Jordan's staff, it's embarrassing that you sell such luxurious furniture in your store, while your chairs in the theater are so cramped in and uncomfortable. I so looked forward to seeing a great movie there, and when Oppenheimer arrived, I knew that was it. Instead, I left very, very disappointed. See their movies at other theaters. You'll save money and peace of mind, and you'll have a better experience.

Upon entering, is the will call or box office where you purchased the tickets or you get scanned for online ticketing. Very convenient. Lots of space if there's a crowd. FYI, only one Host and one. When you enter, the main lobby is a great arrangement of gifts that you can purchase and souvenirs as well. Of course the concession stand is also in the main lobby. The concession area was extremely clean well kept. They had hot and cold concessions. Everything nachos with hot cheese, of course butter, yourself, movie, popcorn, hotdogs, candy, etc., etc. When you purchase a drink they give you a cup and you fill your own so I guess it's as much as you can drink.??? Upon entering the Theatre, I was in theatre number two. I believe there are eight. The chairs are large, comfortable, red vinyl power reclining with drink holder. The inside of the actual theater was extremely clean. The chairs were spotless. The rugs were super clean and the sound was epic. When I entered the complex, the host offered for me to join the AMC movie club, which I grabbed and applied for immediately. It is free and it gives you 50% off movies for you and a friend on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I happen to be with my mother so they gave us senior tickets at 50% off. I ended up receiving two tickets for $11 and change I was excited. I also understand that you get a large bucket of popcorn, which I did are eligible for a free refill. I did not know this time, but I did some reading when I got home and received the emails getting welcomed to the club. I will frequent there often.

You stand in a line for a bit until they let you in and when you leave they make you walk all the way up and leave that way so beware if you have some mobility issues you may need to have them help you. The only true IMAX screen/theater around, this is the place to see IMAX content…read more That said, this is also the best place to help you achieve temporary, and potentially permanent, hearing loss in a fun setting. When I watch movies here, my smart watch goes crazy with notifications that the sound is exceeding 80 and 90 decibels. Sounds above 85 decibels are harmful to your hearing. Gas lawn mowers are 85 decibels. Rock concerts are 90-120 decibels. Weekly limit at 90 decibels is 4 hours. Per week total, not per event. So a single 2 hour movie is half your weekly limit (to hopefully avoid permanent hearing loss, but not guaranteed it won't happen sooner) and 30 minutes/day causes temporary hearing loss. If the majority of film goers do not have permanent hearing loss, they will now! That's why I always bring 'Etymotic ER20XS ETY Earplugs' high fidelity, high definition earplugs with 20 dB sound reduction when I go to the movies and concerts. It's like a volume knob for your environment, turning everything down 20 dB equally across all frequencies. These are not foam earplugs which muddies the sound and blocks the highs. They are amazing; have been using them at concerts for many years and more recently now at movie theaters. https://a.co/d/5TOSKtz - these are the ones I have, but looks like they don't make them anymore. https://a.co/d/4HHnXGY - these look like the replacements. I wish I didn't need to bring earplugs to the movies but let's be real; I'll be lucky to get a meaningless canned copy/paste response to this review and it will be even less likely that theater will actually lower the volumes to safe levels.
