Appetizer Bento box: onion rings, Thai chicken, Philly rolls and fries
    Mike F.

My family and I frequent the Chestnut Hill movie theater, and while the food used to be decent, the quality has gone downhill lately. The last few times I've ordered, the food has arrived late, cold, and either undercooked or overcooked. This time, I tried the bento box and it was cold, lacked flavor, and honestly not even worth taking a picture of. For nearly $27, it wasn't worth it. I also had the pepperoni hot honey pizza, which was actually pretty good--but overall, I'm not sure I'll be ordering food from here again. It's just too expensive for such an underwhelming experience.

Food we couldn't after movie was done with lights in in the teather

We're extremely disappointed by our experience at this theater and feel it's important to share what happened. We booked the 8:15 PM showing of Thunderbolt and spent over $150 between tickets, food, and drinks, expecting a relaxing, luxury movie night. To make it even more frustrating, this wasn't just any night -- we're two overworked parents who rarely get a night out alone. This was our long-overdue date night, something we were both really looking forward to. And this is the experience we got. Everything seemed fine at first -- we ordered food, and even a second round of drinks. But about halfway through the movie, we started noticing something that completely ruined the night: mice running up and down the theater stairs. It wasn't just once or twice. We kept feeling things brushing against our legs and arms -- and when we looked down, we were horrified to see mouse droppings all over the floor behind and beside our seats. At that point, we couldn't focus on the movie anymore. We couldn't even finish our food. The rest of the time, we were on edge, afraid mice were going to run across our feet or up our seats. The fact that this happened in a theater that promotes itself as high-end is unacceptable. The level of filth and presence of rodents is not only disgusting -- it's a serious health concern. We have photos and videos to back up what we saw, and it's clear this wasn't an isolated incident. We left feeling disgusted and incredibly let down -- not just because of the environment, but because we spent a good amount of money on what was supposed to be a well-earned, peaceful night together. Instead, we got stress, discomfort, and a theater filled with rodents. We truly hope management sees this and takes immediate action. No one should have to go through this -- especially not parents just trying to enjoy a rare night out.

We had a super good time . Watching the movie beetle juice , The staff was super friendly. The movie was awesome. They have full service as they bring the food to you . Or you can get it yourself at the consession stand.

Love this theater! It's always clean, simple, and organized! I love that you can get food delivered to your seat. The pricing is great for what you get on the ticket price. The chicken tenders are amazing probably because they come from Davios! I didn't hang around much in the lobby yet but i will one day.

I really enjoy this theater because of the size and the comfortability except this time my seat warmer didn't work. However I did take the opportunity to order from the seat and surprisingly my burger was delicious and I did order the guacamole except it came with salsa which I really didn't appreciate I mean if it's gonna say salsa and guac they should say that. I don't feel I got my money's worth but I got a shit ton of tortilla chips leftovers. I realize this is not a five star experience for experience diners, but for a movie goers, it beats just eating popcorn and candy.

I wasn't impressed with this "Super"lux branch of Showcase. It has Davio's inside the theater, which is a fairly fancy restaurant with a hefty price tag of itself. The ticket price was a few dollars more than the Showcase back at home. Also, they didn't have cherry coke, which I've always managed to get at any theater, but I guess it's not Super enough to be on their list. The other noted enhancement is the chairs have 3 settings to recline and include a tray with a menu. Then you have staff walk around in the dark looking for who the order belongs to.

Great options of movies usually, good is great and never had any issues. Saw Bob Marley: One Love and was good experience.

I went to the Showcase Superlux to see Avatar: The Way of Water and the overall experience was a good one. The parking space was adequate, bathrooms were clean and the lobby had good lighting. The actual theater room was clean with the reclining and heated seats. We didn't partake in snacks because the line was super long and the place was super packed. Would recommend giving yourself a 30 min window before movie start time if you plan on ordering snacks. I also think there might be an option to order ahead and I would strongly recommend that. Great option for movie night....especially for a three hour long movie. Check them out.

This is one of the nicest movie theaters I have ever been too. You can order food at your seat. They have a nice menu. It is pricy though. Ticket prices vary during different times of day. Ambiance is amazing. Chairs are reclining and very comfortable. Screen is huge. Very modern, a great experience.

Food was good but...there are mice.

Yes! There was one at first, in the aisle (which was lit). And then, about 15 minutes later, there were a few! Had to leave..

On this particular trip, I ordered the large popcorn and I was going to get my refill after the movie was over. Unfortunately, when my movie ended, it was 11 o'clock and the concession stand was closed and they've already disposed of all the popcorn. I was lucky enough to get a nice supervisor David Diaz who guaranteed me a popcorn on my next trip there since there was none available, which was my request with one of the workers who introduced me to him. Kudos to David and the rest of the staff who was extremely polite and well-made and handled my dilemma in real time. My only negative on this particular trip where the seats which I was unaware, but they are not the big power recliners like in Woburn and South Bay. Still, it beats the other IMAX theaters because of the comfortable seating and the buttkickers (rumbling vibrations). I met a friend there to see Godzilla v. Kong -- he had never been to a Jordan's IMAX and was surprised the seats didn't recline, but that didn't bother either of us. I was surprised that it wasn't packed for the first weekend of release but maybe it was the day before Easter, maybe it isn't as popular as I thought it would be (the movie) or maybe Natick doesn't get as much play, hard to say in one visit. But it worked to our advantage! I got in line about 30 minutes before the movie was due to start and they didn't let us in much before that. You enter from the back of the theater, which makes things much easier (in Reading you enter from the front/bottom and have to race up steps to get your seat of choice if it's packed). Otherwise, the experience was just as enjoyable. I think Reading is still my go-to, but I wouldn't hesitate to go to Natick if Reading wasn't available. It's nice to have options. We are very lucky to live in the Boston area. Oh, and I know some are put off by the lack of reserved seating, but you figure it out, just get there early if you're worried about getting the seat you want. And yes, one does have to walk through the store but several delightfully friendly sales people were happy to point me in the right direction and I didn't get too far before there was signage, so not to worry. This room is too small, and the screen is too large. There are only a handful of good seats. All others are too close to the screen. You'll get a stiff neck struggling to see the full picture, and rapid movement and extreme closeups will give you a headache. The special effects sound was also much too loud. And to the Jordan's staff, it's embarrassing that you sell such luxurious furniture in your store, while your chairs in the theater are so cramped in and uncomfortable. I so looked forward to seeing a great movie there, and when Oppenheimer arrived, I knew that was it. Instead, I left very, very disappointed. See their movies at other theaters. You'll save money and peace of mind, and you'll have a better experience.
