Typical movie theater, relatively clean and spacious. I did find it a bit confusing to navigate with all the escalators and stairs. The concessions were are really lacking, 5 soda options and unclear instructions. Service was fine. Seats were also super basic, not the most comfortable. I went here to watch Avatar 3. As soon as I sat down I was concerned, the seating is so uptight. I'm kind of tall and have long legs so my knees was like not feeling the best and my hip was hurting like the seats are not comfortable at all. I was with my 19 year old daughter and she is well with someone comfortable that we had to leave. We only watched about an hour of the movie which is disappointing but I rather have left than to sit and those seats. All in all the theater looks all right I guess but I guess the aesthetic doesn't matter if you're not comfortably seated. read more

Paid about $60 for tickets and concessions. When we arrived slightly late, the employee at the ticket counter created multiple unnecessary obstacles. A large group ahead of us was required to show IDs (fine -- that's the law), even though several were clearly well above the age threshold. When it was our turn, we were then told we needed to see a manager to be allowed in. The manager immediately cleared us without issue. Notably, guests entering immediately after us were allowed through without any problem. The experience put a damper on the evening to the point where I considered leaving early. When I did step out, there was no staff available to ask about a refund, I suppose because they had locked up and left. The exit area felt oddly unmonitored, someone ran into the closing theater door as we were leaving, which only added to the unease. For the price, this was not a welcoming or well-managed experience. With so many alternatives, a movie theater should feel comfortable and fun, and this one missed badly. I won't be returning. read more

This theatre is nice and renovated HOWEVER there are no recliner seats!! AMC is the poster child for those big red cushioned recliner seats. They are standard cinema seats. Felt like that was included in the price when booking so was disappointed when we arrived. read more

AMC Causeway is a brand new theater right next to the Garden, and I absolutely love it. This place and it's absolute perfect comfortable seats and clean screens, deserves and IMAX room ASAP!! read more

I went here to watch dune 2 recently. I appreciated the expedited snack/drink ordering system with the kiosks they set up. I did not however appreciate the seats there. No recline and no leg rest. I was very uncomfortable sitting there for the entirety of dune 2 read more

Got tickets ahead for the Wicked early screening. I got there early and printed the physical tickets (2), additionally I had them digitally on my phone. My friend was running late, and I asked the ticket employee if a screenshot would suffice. He explained yes the digital ticket would scan as long as it hadn't been scanned previously (it had not, he took my physical ticket.) Fast forward 1 hour later, my friend arrived at the theater and called me while in line. She explained they wouldn't let her in with the screenshot and furthermore wouldn't allow her or another employee to come get me from the theater to help. After I came out the manager demanded the second ticket from me immediately. Flustered, I provided my AMC app with the QR code with the tickets. An error message came up saying the tickets were already scanned, so everything the man told me before was a lie. The manager then demanded the ticket another two times, rudely and loudly at me as im digging in my purse for the physical stubs. Her demeanor was rude, abrasive and not understanding at all. I am very disappointed as I have only had good experiences in the past. I don't know if the employees were overwhemled because of the amount of movies-goers for Wicked but nonetheless, I wish the experience was better. As someone who has worked in customer service my whole life I was appalled. read more

the claw machines at this movie theater are rigged to not work. I mentioned this to a staff member, and they admitted that the machines are indeed fixed to release anything you pick up and they didn't seem to care that this is scamming their customers. spend your money elsewhere, they're not even trying to hide the fact that they're scamming you. read more

Not a great experience but SO MUCH potential for something more. I went on a Saturday night and it barely had any people in it. The theaters were very well spaced out with hall way seating. It is a bit of a maze and the signs were not super obvious. there is also a creepy mid way level that feels like a hallway where people go to get mugged but once you get past that, it's all good! The theater room itself had recliners which was amazing! We paid the same price we would've paid at the Boston Commons one so yay! Like all AMCs now, the seating is reserved so there is really no need to rush to find a seat. Where they fell apart was the staffing. There were literally 6 people hanging out around the ticketing area yet all ticketing appeared to be via a self serve computer and then you walk 5 feet to get the ticket ripped up for entrance. Then, the food booth: again computers for self service ordering and there appears to have one register (though no one was there). On the self order screens, there was no way to scan or utilize my AMC stubs rewards program which was kind of annoying. It seemed like only one person was actually manning the refreshments area which was quite unfortunately. Also, the bar wasn't open! But there was some staff member leaning on the bar, though he wasn't bartender. As of right now, if you want a no-fuss, no-muss kind of experience where you just go in and go out, then this would be great. It would be super easy to sneak in food if you wanted, no one seemed to care about anything really. There is so much room for improvement and if they just tried, staffed up appropriately, and opened up a few more registers, things would be much better. The location is perfect, it is right off the North Station, TD Garden and easily driveable from the North Shore. There is a Star Market right near by, a food hall and plenty of bars. This movie theatre is gorgeous! Very centrally located in the city, very new, and clean. The chairs are comfy and have the automated foot rests, but I do wish they reclined. Overall it was a beautiful theatre though! read more

For being brand new, the seats are pretty nasty. They also don't recline. Sound for the movies is muffled and seems to only be coming from the screen instead of surround sound. Also, they don't have the pour your own soda with all the flavors. Just have a basic selection they pour for you. Doesn't have the butter machines either. read more

Used to go to Boston common a lot, this theater is about 2.5 months maybe 3 months Old and the theater it's one of the best I've seen! When I first walked in I was surprised to actually see tiles over carpet even though there is a lot of carpet! The recliners are really nice some theaters have over 200 seats, hours typically are around 12:30-1 to 9-11 depending on the day. Very pleasant place with 12 big theaters also shoutout to Erik, Nick, and Max for helping me!!! read more
