I didn't have huge expectations but it felt like the only things this fair had was the same food trucks over and over again and a midway.... We came to just walk around and see the animals with our daughter. The cow barn was a mess and no one paid any attention to you.... in a rude way. I don't understand why they open at 10 but nothing except coffee is open until 12 on a Sunday? read more

Made it to the Spencer Fair again in 2017. Had a great time. The weather was absolutely perfect. Checked the web site and made sure to come when they had the $20 unlimited ride bracelets. The bracelets are typically only available on the opening day of the fair. Watched a sheep shearing demonstration. Walked through the 4H exhibits. Made a beeswax candle. Checked out the tractors. Watched the giant pumpkin weighing. The Horses Horses Horses Show is absolutely fabulous. Lisa Dufresne clearly lives and loves Horses. She takes the time to chat with you after the show about horses! And encourages you to keep riding. It can turn into an expensive day. We kept the cost down by putting strict limits on the food and trinkets we chose to buy, we got the unlimited ride bracelets, and we just said NO to all carnival games. Went to the fair as a small child and had always remembered it. Made my way back in my mid 30's, just as I remember a small town fair. You have a ton of foods Italian sausage, fries, onion blossoms, pizza and deep fry everything's. Had your typical carnival rides. But the thing that stands out about this fair from other local fairs is the DEMOLITION DERBYS! read more

A $12.00 admission to go spend or waste (depending on your point of view) even more money on overpriced fair food and rides? Ouch! There just isn't enough to do and see at the Spencer Fair to justify the admission. At least parking is free. The apple crisp was excellent. The animals smell like the funk but some of the people do too. I'll go back to the Woodstock Fair, more to do and see there. read more

Apparently we got to the Demo Derby (to watch) about 4 hours too late. I think it started at 8 and we were told that people were already in the stands at a quarter to 5! Wowza. From what we could see (and hear of the audience reaction), it was a fun time. Food-wise, there are plenty of unhealthy options - and a few healthy ones. I couldn't decide which "dog-food" bowl of fries to get and what to get with it. Yes - this is a much smaller fair than Topsfield or the Big E, but it's still a fun time. Also - this is where pretty much every teenager in a 20-mile radius hangs out. Smokers too. read more

We love bringing the kids to the fair. What we especially like about it is it's not that large but just large enough where the kids will get tired. Love the rides. Wish the food trucks weren't all the same. This time we got hamburgers from the local school booth and it was an excellent deal, will do that every time. Restrooms are always clean and love the women who keeps it that way. Make sure to tip them! It's a nice day! read more

I've been to many fairs but the Spencer fair holds the record for being the smallest. Very little rides and things to do. What there is to do is boring and not as elaborate as stuff you would see at other fairs. The demolition derby being there biggest attraction was the worst of all. With a total of 25 cars and only 4 demos !!!! I haven't seen a event so short and so small in years. Now this may be harsh but Spencer fairs demolition derby used to have 75-80 cars and a mix of different events. Come on people of Spencer i know you can do better, matter fact i have seen you do better. read more

Always a decent time at the Spencer fair, definitely giving you something to do in this small town. The biggest bonus is free parking! And not to mention cheap admission. I've never really had a bad time here. I'd say one of my only negatives are the mosquitos that swarm you in full force. Other than that I gave it 3 stars because it's not the best time you will ever have but you will get your moneys worth :) just make sure to Time your visits! And enjoy the festivities read more

Terrible. There are a million delinquent, smoking, pregnant teenage kids swearing every 5 minutes. Trashy. I was also DISGUSTED at the elephant rides. These sweet animals were giving ride after ride with AC/DC & other hard rock songs ABSOLUTELY BLARING in their ears. DISGUSTING!!! PETA should picket. I may contact them. read more

This is a good old fashioned country fair. Crowded but fun. The demolition derby was great.

I did the demo derby and was treated like crap! I put the time and effort into bringing a car which attracts 90% of the crowd. Still had to pay to get in the door. The track is too small and the event operators were total retards! This country fair is in the down slope. We all know spencerites are not known for there academic achievements but give me a break! The place is loaded with Spencer's most special. I'll take my demo cars to Connecticut next year! read more

First of all, $10 is ridiculous to get in this place just to walk around. We got BBQ chicken sandwiches that were inedible (and we aren't picky) and way overpriced. Vendors selling Trump gear?? Really?? Sat down to watch the 6pm Galaxy Girl show and she never came out - no notice that the show was cancelled. This fair just gets worse and worse every year. went to the spencer fair labor day usual fair stuff racing pigs rigged carnival games overpriced food rides etc. we were looking forward to the demo derby put on by rr productionc it was to be the final as they had one on fri. what a stinker 24 cars in the past they have had 60-70 cars and a battle between local police depts and a powdwe puff demo all ladies event sad sad demo indeed over in 60 min. not sure where this rr prod. is from but they were a disgrace to the title demo derby some say it is because of the cash for clunkers program???? read more
