This is a very cute venue. It seats about 100 people. The chairs are surprisingly comfortable, and they're layered over risers, so you always have a great view of the stage. I saw Who Are You (a Who cover band) at this venue last night (for my father-in-laws birthday) and it was a fun time. The sound quality was good, and they have video projecting behind the stage as well. There's a refreshment stand inside with a beer & wine license. $5 for beer or wine, which is reasonable. Its "amazing" to me that more people don't know about this little hidden gem in Framingham center that gets some of the best talent to play in this lovely little theatre disguised as a firehouse in the very cool little brazil section of downtown. Had the extreme pleasure of hearing and seeing Session Americana last night and it was probably the best band, the most enthusiastic crowd of fans I have seen in a while. I am a member, supporter and volunteer here. Definitely worth a check out! they also have "open" theme nights during the week like folk, jazz, comedy and more. A great small music venue. They bring in very good shows, the sound quality is excellent, and there's not a bad seat in the house. Prices are very reasonable. The staff and volunteers are great and there is often plenty of opportunity to interact with the artists. The seats are even pretty comfortable-- what more could you ask? A small snack bar provides food and beverages, including Jack's Abby beers. The only improvement I could ask for is more walnuts in the Amazing Killer Brownies. read more

We came to the Amazing Arts Center for the very first time on Sunday, April 23rd for the Carmine Orsini production. We were swept away with the hospitality of the staff of the facility and the warmth of everyone in attendance. If Carmine Orsini is indicative of the performances conducted at the Amazing Arts Center, you can be assured that this venue will warrant future visitations. Carmine Orsini's performance was of the highest calibre and professionalism. It is no wonder that Carole and Jim Foley wanted to share the exhilaration of his voice and the wonder of his personality with all in attendance. We are looking forward to our next visit. My husband and I went to see the fantastic Don White yesterday. We had never been to the Amazing Things Arts Center. Set in an old firehouse, this venue has an intimate performance space - not a bad seat in the house. The size and the fun and funky art on the walls make for a really great atmosphere. I have been driving by this little gem since the day it opened. Friday evening I finally got tickets and checked out a show. I'm truly sorry I waited so long. What a fantastic place. The performance room is cozy - not cramped - with theater seating so there isn't a bad seat. The music was great and the audience was encouraged to sing along and dance. Tickets are very reasonable as are the refreshments, beer & wine $5. coffee, soda & waters of all kinds available. Plenty of parking in the rear of the building, which was well lit at closing. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning. Where else can you go for top notch musical entertainment and a couple of drinks for under $30.pp. read more

I hadn't been to Amazing Things Art Center in several years, but I went to an Antje Duvekot concert last night. The music was terrific, but I was really impressed with the changes at Amazing Things. The place has a really nice feel about it, the size is intimate, and they have made a lot of positive changes to the space in the last few years. I will definitely try to come to more events at Amazing Things in the future. It makes me really wish we had someplace like this in Waltham. read more

Spent a fabulous Sunday afternoon listening to the amazing tenor, Carmine Orsini, perform at (appropriately) Amazing Things. Carmine's powerful voice literally filled this charming venue. And he is just as charming as the locale. Some might have expected an opera singer to be pretentious and stuffy. Carmine's performance was filled with warmth, feeling, and a sense of fun. I suspect newcomers to Amazing Things will seek out other acts, while devoted attendees will be hoping for another Carmine performance! read more

I went to buy a ticket for Back Bay Ringers. I got to the venue 30 minutes late but saw that 5 seats were clearly available right when you walk into the door, I was asked to go outside and buy a ticket. Upon getting to the ticket booth, I was told the show was sold out. I informed them there were 5 open seats and they said it was possibly for the ushers. There were no ushers to be found. This place is run by extremely old Caucasian conservatives. I did absolutely notice that was the only person of color at this show. Not sure if that had something to do with it, but it certainly could have. Regardless, I found their service in dealing with me to be incredibly harsh despite my using very polite words to ask why I couldn't be served a ticket when there were clearly seats available. They turned down my revenue and business with very impolite service for whatever reason. I will never attend another show there again and encourage you all to do the same. read more
