It was exciting and entertaining. We watched the tractor pull but it took too long between drivers, and we got bored. I don't know if I would go again...just for the derby. It wasn't crowded at all. The worst was the parking in a sand pit, the dust was everywhere, and it stuck to our cars and clothes and shoes. We shuttled to the fair.

He gave us the lay of the land, telling us all about the trees, shop, fire pit with hot chocolate. So impressed by the hospitality the entire visit. We bought a beautiful tree and a few items from the shop. My wife and daughters enjoyed the cocoa and fire pit with a great conversation with the owner. These people were the salt of the earth and have a great product. I don't think you can go bad with any tree you get there. Amazing we have lived in the area for 3 years and never knew it was there. Funny note we get ice cream less than a thousand feet from the entrance. I will go back every year now! Did I mention the cut tree selection was amazing? You would think I work there with a review like this but I just love the way they run their business and care - so many businesses forget that people are the heart of a business - the team and the customers... Afterward we went to Meadowbrook Farm and their pumpkins were better and less than half the price. Beyond that, a snotty girl was working at the counter slowly giving out cookies and donuts. I asked her if the apple orchard had cider and she said "no" with no other explanation. She then said "we're making more but it'll be a while". I asked how long it takes and she was super annoyed. Sighing and rolling her eyes she ran back to ask someone else. Upon her return, she told us it would be at least two hours. That was all fine, places run out of things so it was totally understandable. As we're walking out, a lady walked in and asked for cider. The girl asked her how much she needed and went into a different area to give her two bottles. I don't know if the girl that "helped" us was just rude and lazy or really didn't know they had some, but either way, a super disappointing experience. In any area filled with great family farms with similar products, you'd think they might focus a tiny bit on customer service.

At the very back is a gazebo that a couple was using for an engagement photoshoot while we were there. Easy to see why when it's surrounded by rolling hills. The apples were ginormous. Like, gigantic. Especially the honeycrisp. I picked one to eat and could only finish half of it!! Prices are reasonable. The size of the bags are odd though....I got a bag that was supposed to fit 16 and it only fit 5. Huh?? Just readjust your expectations. They also have a hayride that takes you on a tour through the orchard and he talks about the history of it. Make sure you sit near the speaker since it's hard to hear over the engine. The store was stocked with the obvious. Apple cider, apple butter, caramel apples. There's also a little food truck outside. ALL fried foods so don't expect anything healthy. Called this morning to get a status and was told that the board came in but we were now in a queue and it would take another one to two weeks for them to cut the board to the ordered specs.
