I *deeply* understand customer service, professionalism, and the weight of negative Yelp reviews which is why I have quite literally never written one. I originally wrote a negative review (and it was the first negative review I have ever written on Yelp) because I had a negative experience with one of the front desk agents at first. But one of the things I also understand working in customer service is that if you give a business the feedback they need to make changes and to "make things right" and they are receptive to that feedback, a business should not be judged because of a one off experience. I was able to communicate my issues and I am updating my review to reflect that the hotel handled my feedback professionally and for that I am very grateful.

If a server is overwhelmed with guests and there is no other servers to help, it is the job of a Manager to step in and ease the load by taking some tables themselves until things calm down. I even talked with him an hour later, after it had cooled off, and he continued to be aggressive and dismissive. A bad manager is one thing. But our server didn't acknowledge the awkwardness (even as other families watched in shock), just trying to rush us out. The food was probably the worst it's ever been at Stone's, which raises questions of why. It's understandable to have a bad day, it's *not* ok to set the tone for your staff and establishment that berating your customers, unprompted, is acceptable.
