Absolutely excellent Margs location!!! Really good food and very nice service :-) I love their Tex Mex options. I've been going to the Waltham location for many years now so was excited to try their Framingham location. I've driven by it for the last 15 years or so and never got around to trying it until recently. This one is awesome as well! I usually get their Famous Taster which comes with a beef taco, chicken burrito, and beef enchilada. I love it so much. I also tried their tequila lime chicken and hector's quesadilla which were both really good. Love their frozen drinks too. They have a spacious outdoor patio which was really nice to sit on during a nice summer day. Highly recommend this place!!! read more

Oh Wow. What an AWFUL experience. Father's day nontheless. Not MEXICAN FOOD. Service was just OK, never asked why I didn't eat 3/4 of my meal. The Steak in the Chimichanga tasted like the entire bottle of cumin dumped on it. My daughter and wife's Birria Quesadillas were more like Pork Jerky with bits of grilled pineapple. Disgusting. Then the waitress stands over me for the tip for a $101 bill for some fake Mexican food. My wife and daughters MADE me stay calmand not anything bad, but put it in a YELP review. We were looking for a relatively quick bite west of Boston and picked Margaritas as a "staple" of Massachusetts. Rolling through the parking lot, there were plenty of spots but they were chock full on a Friday night. Upon entering though, there were plenty of seats. We were definitely swayed by the $6 margarita specials, and the bright pink drinks arrived quickly, alongside the chips and salsa. On the other hand, we had to wait a very long time for the food, even the appetizer. We ordered the street corn (off the cob), and while it was tasty, it was much, much smaller than I would've expected for the price. I would have liked to think that it'd be the equivalent of 2 to 3 cobs of corn, and I can't imagine that was the case. The rest of the meal came a bit after that. I ordered the grilled baja tacos on the recommendation of the waitress, and our party also got the Mexican flag enchiladas. I was glad to see a decent-sized chunk of fish in each taco, since I had seen reviews of the fish tacos (possibly a separate option) with only a half-piece per taco. I enjoyed the other toppings as well, but each taco was too dry - I want the sauce to be dripping off the taco, or at least to be soaked up by all the ingredients and the tortilla. These just didn't get there for me. It helped slightly to top a taco off with a bit of guacamole (borrowed from another entree). I taste-tested some bites from the Mexican flag dish, but the comments came back pretty negative (especially so when considering they were from someone generally not picky with their food!). The enchiladas were marketed as cheese stuffed with steak and chicken, but there wasn't any meat to be found (or tasted). One of our biggest complaints was probably the service. A member of our party was out of water and had to go out of their way to ask for a refill, and the server literally brought a new glass of water for that person only - ignoring all of the other empty water glasses on the table. Similarly, after we asked for a to-go box for leftovers, she brought a container but waited until we specifically asked for the bill. Given the size of the restaurant, it took a lot longer than we would have liked. It was hard to view much of anything at Margaritas as "authentic" - I would compare it to an Olive Garden for Mexican cuisine. But they go far beyond the other chain in terms of trying to "rep" the culture through the extensive décor on the walls, the music, etc. Yet there weren't many (if any) Mexican or Latino staff working in service-facing roles. read more

All in all this was an ok place for Mexican food. The Skillet Enchiladas were pretty tasty, this place doesn't skimp on the cheese for sure. The salsa and guacamole were just ok, usually I'll completely demolish the salsa but the flavor wasn't super great. I had the blood and smoke margarita because of my love for Mezcal, but you could barely taste the Mezcal. I had a great experience at Margaritas Mexican Restaurant!! I had the enchiladas banderas (a fantastic option for anyone looking for a veggie-based meal) and it was great. My friends both had fajitas, one steak and one chicken. Everyone's food tasted great and the servings were pretty large - I took half of mine home. Our waiter was very kind, responsive, and kept the mood light during our meal. I really appreciated that! I ordered the Margarita Flight (how could you not?) as well, which featured 4 different flavors of margarita (classic, spicy, apple cider and "trick or treat"). While I had my personal preferences in terms of taste, these were a great value for the cost and a fun way to spice up the meal. My only complaint is that the music was super super loud - I felt like I was speaking loudly/yelling to my friends and the waiter. I was there on a Saturday night which might make a difference, but if this is something you're sensitive to I'd keep it in mind. :) read more

The male bartender ignores customers and provides terrible service. He never smiles. He looks annoyed. He should not even interact with customers as a job. You wait for drinks. You wait for for food. You wait for your bill. You wait for your receipt. You get ignored. He makes no eye contact. I expect more from a server. I get much better service at any other bar or restaurant. He is terrible representative for this restaurant chain. ON the flip side, Paola, the female bartender, is awesome as a bartender and I love her service and smile! Such a contrast ! I love the margaritas chain, but this location has seen better days. The place itself is spacious and well decorated but the food was lacking. I didn't care for the chips and salsa, the guac tasted like it had a lot of filler in it, and it felt like they cheeped out on the portions for all of the entrees. For example, I got the chicken fajitas, which at most restaurants would be a meal for 2 and I ate the whole thing in one sitting. On the bright side, the mango marg was good (I'm not sure it actually had tequila in it - but it was tasty) and our waitress was hilarious. read more

We got takeout from this place on Father's Day and the food and experience is very disappointing : 1) the rice was undercooked so it tastes a bit raw 2) we ordered 3 fajita chicken and all chickens have weird texture and apparently they are woody chicken. None of us liked the food and we literally threw them out after taking few bites. The portion is also not big given how pricy they are and the takeout bag has only 1 tiny bag of chip for 4 entrees that we got. For the to-go margaritas that we have got, we asked for to-go salt and they apparently do not have any sort of to-go salt for their highly advertised to-go margarita!? After we told them to pack some salt in a plastic container, they ended up put the regular salt used for kitchen cooking , not the coarse sea salt from the bar. I would recommend you not going there, I will for sure stick to chipotle in the future for Mexican food. read more

A group of my friends decided to get some Mexican food during a cold and snowing winter day and I'm so glad we went to margaritas. I'm glad I started out with the margarita flight because I couldn't choose which flavor I wanted, so I got to taste four! Pro-tip; ask what their drink of the month. When we went, they were serving up hurricanes, which I also ordered and boy.. did that get me there. The food was decent, I ordered the sampler and they even had options for my friends who were vegetarian and vegan. The only thing to critique on was that it sounded like they had two or three zones with different music playing which was a bit overstimulating but I can only hope to imagine that's an easy fix. read more

The enchiladas I ordered were just okay - far from the best I've ever had (the sauce was a bit meh, the sides pretty bland), but decently made and voluminous. The service was fast and friendly. I don't understand why people have rated this restaurant less than 4 stars. It's not that bad! They probably got a bad service which can happen once in a while at any restaurant. Anyway, all my trips to Margaritas Framingham have been wonderful. Get the Fajitas, I love the steak ones. The fish tacos are good too, although not the best. The restaurant has a good ambience for dinner. It's always busy but not so busy that you won't get a seat. It's a big place. The staff is friendly. Their margaritas are good, anyway they have no choice after they named the restaurant Margaritas. Will keep going back, it's just 10 min away from my house. Tip: If you are fond of hot sauce and want to try the hottest sauce, ask for a side of Fuego sauce. I always get it with the tacos and BEWARE, it's extremely hot!!! read more

i truly hope the manager reads this review. we have been a couple times to this restaurant, this time i will not review the food (which has become bad quality, a guacamole appetizer which costs around 18$ is literally a tablespoon of guac that tasted nothing like fresh,,,) but i want to share the experience with the waitress. After we were done and asked for the check, she came back with the tablet (which i understand most restaurants have switched to) and she started reading OUT LOUD ; "so, theee diet cokes for x dollars, one steak fajita for x dollars, one shrimp fajita for x .... So your total come to ..." out LOUD! Like, hello! We can read! We can figure this out how to pay on our own! How embarrassinG, in front of our guests! and to make things worse, she literally just stood there, and said, oh, you add the tip, and waited , and as I was STILL paying she blurts "zero tip?" I look at her and said confused and said "excuse me?" She said oh nothing... Very very rude. Of course i tipped, I was still doing the payment wwhen she decided to stand over me and watch. Dear manager, if this is what you are coaching them to host tables and read out loud the bill atvthe end and ask loudly for a tip, this will backfire at some point. read more

I went with a very large party of 11 on Saturday. We made a reservation for 7 and it was busy. However, the staff was fantastic at bringing us all our food and drinks in a timely manner. They provided gluten free chips and salsa for our celiac friend as well! The food was great and we all were satisfied. The service was especially fantastic for having such a large party. We were told to sign up for their rewards app and got a free guac at no cost! Our server took all our drink orders and kept us topped up the whole night. All our food came out at the same time and that really impressed me. I ordered the combo fajitas of chicken and steak. It was a very generous portion and was so delicious. The steak and chicken were both tender and very flavorful. The plate came out nice and sizzling and it was so good. As a Mexican and as a foodie, salsa was not at all salsa, the food is more Americanized than Mexican.
