The meat section could source their meat more judiciously - the chicken wings I got were too large, and the skins on them were too fatty. They were priced well however. The biggest disappointment was that there weren't enough fresh items (for a store called "Fresh Market"). The leafy greens section of the store was fairly sparsely populated. The market should work to find some local producers (or at least closer to MA) and educate shoppers on the importance of fresh vegetables. It's worth seeing how they develop the store once business starts running.

I asked if she needed to see my credit card for the return. Oh, no, she says, we only give store credits. Honestly, I was stunned. Why, I asked, was I not told that when I asked about returning them? Her reply was that there were signs all over the store stating that returns were only for store credit. I had seen no signs. While making my purchase when I asked about returning the pants I assumed the cashier was being honest with me. I feel that not telling me their policy was a lie by omission. I stood there in shock and didn't know what to say. She just, hands on hips, stared at me in silence. I didn't know what to do. I finally said, Do something! (I was still basically in shock.) Her reply, "Whaddya want me to do?" I am an elderly woman not used to such treatment and was very hurt by the whole experience. She finally wrote me out a credit and I left. I do not intend to go back. I honestly feel that they need to be honest about TELLING customers about that policy. Especially a customer who SPECIFICALLY ASKS. While I couldn't think of what spices I might need for anything coming up, I knew I needed some pecans and they have those by the pound as well. I filled a bag with what I needed and had a great conversation at the register with Ben, who moved up here from the Philadelphia area (where he worked for the company). Friendly guy and easy to see why the company would want him here (sorry, Philly!!). The store is very bright, cheerful and spotless - everything a grocery store should be, but often is not.
