This is definitely more about the overall experience and location for me. Sitting by the beach, having some drinks, and hanging out with friends and family made for a really enjoyable afternoon. We ordered two virgin drinks at the bar-- a Piña Colada and a Mango Daiquiri. Both were very refreshing on a hot summer day! The restaurant seemed decently busy, and the bartenders were nice. At one point, one of the bartenders checked the tip jar, which I thought was a little odd and probably something that shouldn't be done in front of guests. Other than that, everything was great! I'd definitely recommend this place!

This was one of those occasions where I was delighted to have been so wrong. The crab cake was well worth the hype. Two hearty cakes, plenty of moist, tender lumps of crab, nice seasoning, and a mild remoulade that complimented them quite well. While I figured (also wrongly) that I'd leave hungry, I most certainly did not. Service was extremely friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the open-air, courtyard experience. Quite relaxing, and while there was none while I was there, I think they have regular live music in the area. As for the rest of the menu, looked like they sell other seafood and such as well, but this is a place where I'm just not sure I'll ever make it deeper into the menu than where I started--not going to top those crab cakes!

Ordered a dozen oysters, steamed Old Bay shrimp and potatoes, and a shrimp and fish plate that came with Cole slaw, hush puppies, and fries. Plenty to share. They have multiple sauces and seasonings, especially of note is the Crystal hot sauce from Louisiana which is one of the best IMO for oysters. Service was very good, friendly, professional, and helpful with support. Couldn't have been happier with the lunch today, we already will plan one last visit before heading home Saturday. I cannot say this enough, good food, great service, fast in and out, accommodating when asked for something. It's 100% perfect for this area. The person cooking in the kitchen also nailed the food cooked back there also. They have a steam box in the front as well as a huge area where the seafood is displayed. Support small businesses!

Right when we arrived, we were walked to our table, which was a booth and was plenty of room for the 5 of us. When we were walking to our table, I noticed how nice this restaurant was! The ambiance was on point. Very nice but not too nice. Our waiter immediately addressed us when we sat down and gave us his recommendations for drinks. I decided on the peach Paloma spritz. It was delicious and well presented. Others in my party got red wine, a French 75 and the market ranch water. I thought mine was the most delicious lol. Before we ordered our appetizers, the waiter was so beyond knowledgeable about the whole menu. Gave us all of the specials like nothing I have ever heard before. He was so great! For our appetizers, we got the bread butter candle, smoked fish dip, and the burrata salad. The bread butter candle was the best thing I've ever had! It was so cool and very unique. I absolutely loved the burrata salad, but I thought the fish dip was a tad too fishy for me. For our entrees, most of the table got the red fish and the other two got the steak and the pasta. We all devoured the red fish! It was so delicious and a good portion. Others in my pastry weren't fans of the pasta, but the steak was one of the best I've ever tasted. From the service to the food to the ambiance, this place is one of my favorites I've ever dined at! I can't wait to come back!

We also got the rooftop original with extra crispy bacon, grits, and scrambled eggs and it was good! We went for my birthday brunch celebration and our waiter surprised us with the most amazing crème brûlée. Definitely one of the top crème brûlées I've ever had and would order again. The were about to close right before we got seated, but we told them we just wanted a round of drinks and a quick dessert. I think they were a little mad, but they let us sit! No one was in here when we got here, so we were the only ones. It was very small, but they had a bar and it fit the ambiance of a hidden gem feeling, even though it is right on the main strip of Rosemary Beach. We got a round of champagne to drink and then two desserts: dark chocolate fondue and milk and cookies. The dark chocolate fondue came with marshmallows, bananas, apples, strawberries and pound cake bites. The chocolate fondue container was HUGE and filled to the brim with dark chocolate. We each got our own skewer to dip the goodies. I could have eaten every last bite, this was delicious. The milk and cookies were just as good! This was three huge cookies with a side of milk. The cookies were just barely baked, how I like it. They had many chocolate chips and tasted so fresh...I could only finish one of them. I asked the greeter she explained that the raw bar had a long waiting list (but was 40% empty). Very poor people skills and ZERO ability to explain their seating. Imagine how well this place would do if they had people eating food at their tables. Maybe the Alys Beach crowd is OK with showing up 30 minutes late? Expensive good food and terrible entry experience imho. I should have taken a photo of the half EMPTY restaurant and oyster bar at 8 pm. We wound up having an amazing meal in the bar area of O-Ku.
