Store experience was very fast and efficient. Not very crowded and very roomy aisles. One exception was that they sold bags of moldy cheese curds. I feel as if staff should monitor the perishable items more closely, especially the cheeses for signs of mold. Update to my initial review. My last experience was not a good one. I ordered and the person delivering dropped the food at the wrong place. Then, they still kept my tip for the person delivering to the wrong place. That is janky. You made me tip and I did not get my order! I may have been charged for the delivery fee as well. Also, alot of items are sold out and it does not say so when you are ordering. So, you are waiting for items that you are never going to get. My last gripe is that they advertised free delivery if you ordered a certain amount of items. However, they don't let you know when this was going to end. At least I don't recall seeing it anywhere. Horrible customer service! 1st time shopping @Amazon Fresh (Fullerton location) and was pleased with low prices of goods when I decided to give it a try on 12/8/25, 7:48pm. That said, I wasn't aware of Amazon's quirky operations such as restrictions on common wireless pay platform & not honoring a legitimate DMV issued electronic CA Driver License during checkout which included beer purchase. From there, the whole shopping experience went downhill due to cold & transactional treatment from mgmt on duty. I believe his name is Emanuel. He said something along the line of "you can cry about it, but there's nothing I can do". This was his response in reference to trying to convey to him that it is CA DMV issued electronic driver license. The worse part was him turning his back and walking away during our conversation, very rude and insulting. When I asked for his name, he kept walking away without turning towards me. He said something but it was difficult to hear by then. Also, one female employee who may be from asset protection treated me like a criminal as if I didn't pay for the beer as I start to roll the shopping cart of groceries I just purchased, at least it felt that way. It seems to me the cashier and the helper were much better on their customer service than the people above them. I do like shopping at Amazon Fresh. I especially like the electronic shopping carts and the super easy check out. They are relatively inexpensive too, especially their "happy belly" store brand. Overall, AF is logically laid out and the aisles are wide. Its also spotlessly clean too. Staff are friendly and helpful. They have deli counters and a little sushi bar. There is an Amazon counter where you can buy a few popular amazon products and do returns. Outside, is a free Volta electric charger so if you have an EV then your round trip here is free if the charger is unoccupied when you arrive. I put on 30 miles while shopping. I was looking to shopping here. I was excited to hear there was an Amazon fresh in Fullerton. But I was totally disappointed. Its a cross between a Walmart and a mini Amazon booth. Nothing special except for the Amazon carts that you need to use with the Amazon app. So... Nothing special for everyone else. They have Amazon lockers for your online pick up. The hot pizza looks old and dried out. Not appetizing at all. They are gourmet pizza... I think. You can not tell from looking at them, I did not buy any... even for the cheap price of 1.89 per slice. Anyways, pricing are average, smiliar to Ralph's, Walmart, etc. Nothing special. I really wanted this place to be something special. But, its more average than anything else. I would find Bristol Farms or Sprout to be more enjoyable and better quality. So so so sad. read more

Amazon Fresh has opened their second grocery store in OC, the first being in Irvine. Amazon Fresh is a new take on the traditional grocery store that incorporates technology into the standard grocery store shopping experience. The highlights of shopping here are the Dash Carts, large enough to hold only 2 bags of groceries. Anything you drop in there, the cart will automatically add to a running bill. Once you're done, walk out and it'll charge you! Compared to the normal grocery store, this experience is probably best if you are just "dashing" in to get some items. Pros: - Convenient shopping with Dash Cart - Access to Amazon services like returns, pickups, and purchasing top Amazon items - You have access to some Whole Foods (365) items, which there is no WF in this area - Plentiful Curbside pick-up parking Cons: - Prices are slightly higher than normal grocery stores - You still might need to visit other grocery stores for items not stocked here - Hot food options are better at Whole Foods - With Costco next door, the parking here is very busy/dense and can be hard to find a spot depending on what time you visit read more

Game on Costco! This Amazon Fresh is smackdown right next door to the leader of bulk buys and membership deals. I was so excited to visit my first Amazon Fresh store. I had no idea what to expect except just lots of excitement with shopping. I wasn't sure if people just walk out with the item and be automatically charged, or what the process was. Just a note, you don't have to be an Amazon prime member to shop here. If you are a Prime member it's just an easier checkout method and access the delivery if you live in the area. Upon entering grab a cart, there are standard carts that are green and then there's Amazon's Dash cart. Those have cameras embedded into the cart as well as like a price scanner and tiny ipad all in one. As you put items into your cart it automatically scans the item and displays what you put in you cart with the name and the total price. This really takes the guesswork out of how much i am spending and where my total is already at. The Dash carts are useful if you have an Amazon account with payment on file, because it's handy during checkout. This store is so neat, clean and really organized. I really like how they carry both the name brands and their own brand as well. Amazon's Happy Belly and I think Aplenty is their store brand named items. Buyer beware, some items are really what you pay for. Even though Amazon's prince may be slightly cheaper, but there is a slight noticeable different if compared to the name brand. For example their tea. For under $2 you can get a box of 20 count tea bags, but when you brew it, it's less potent and strong as the name brand. Otherwise, most items under the Amazon brand is fine. Produce is pretty well stocked and look really fresh. Watch out when you buy produce, some are by pound while others are by each unit. For example, bananas are $0.15 each. When you put this in your dash cart you punch in the PLU and the number of bananas you're buying. I think these bananas are worth it because they are larger than what you would buy at either Costco or regular grocery stores. Next up the cooked food section! This area is amazing! So many varieties of food, from baked goods to sushi, rotisserie chicken, home meal kits like meatloaf, and guess what? Pizza! That's right, they are really sticking it in Costco's face with a large pizza 18" for $8.99. There's a deal at the store that I found for a dollar more you can add a 2 liter soda. Plus you can order ahead of time on the Amazon app to pick up your pizza. Get this! It's not just those Cheese or Pepperoni pizzas, they have a variety, like a White Sauce Pizza and even a Margarita pizza. During this visit I didn't get the pizza because I picked up the rotisserie chicken. It was $4.97 whole a whole chicken and I was excited to compare it to Costco's. Let's just say Amazon's is a lot smaller, but still very flavorful and juicy. Now onto the last part of the shopping experience. Check out! With the Dash cart all you do is pull the cart through the green area by the entrance and wait for the processing confirmation. Then grab your bags and off you go. No need to wait in line and scan each item. Your cart already knows what you bought. Also if you don't use the Dash cart there are regular carts so at check out you just go through the normal process of a grocery store of having a cashier scanning your items and you entering your method payment. I thought that defeats the purpose of Amazon's concept of just grab and go, but I guess they make it available for all kinds of shoppers. By the way, if you have any Amazon returns, you can drop them off here at the store. It's by the food area against the wall. Overall it was a fun and exciting shopping experience. The future of shopping at markets is here! Such a futuristic concept brought to the present, and I'm very much all here for it. You're greeted by a greeter, who asks if you've ever shopped at an Amazon Fresh before. If you're like me and say no, you're walked through the process of how it works and what you can do with your Amazon account on the cart. Yes, you link your (Prime) Amazon account to your cart, which then automatically keeps track of all the items you put in your cart. It's a VERY high tech cart, with a built in touchscreen and cameras galore to help your shopping out. Your payment is through your Amazon payment method, and anything you add or take from the cart is automatically adjusted in the total. How cool is that?! The store is very spotless and clean, with everything well laid out and within reach. Prices are very decent, and you're able to see average Amazon stars ratings of each product right on the price tag. There's plenty of space to socially distance, and there's sanitizer everywhere to help you keep clean. Best of all, when you finish, you can choose to check out right in your cart! You pass through the green section, where you'll check out and bag your items. Then you leave, skipping the usual cashier lines altogether! I visited this location and Amazon is going to change the game with interesting tech into the shopping experience. You have the choose of a standard cart or a automated one. I used the automated one and it was awesome. You simply attach your Amazon fresh account to the cart and as you place items into the cart it rings it up. When you are done you check out on the onboard tablet and you are done. If you don't want something you simply take it out of the cart and poof it's gone. It was well organized and clean. I've been wanting to explore an Amazon Fresh store for a while now, especially since I'm an Amazon Prime member, I wanted to see what perks they might offer. People are obviously not willing to give up the traditional way to purchase groceries as the checkout lines were pretty backed up on a Saturday afternoon, while the lane that automatically scans your cart was empty. The store is very clean and well laid out, although this store is deeper than wide with a vertical aisle down the middle. It almost feels like 2 grocery stores back to back. It's not a bad thing, just different. They had several hot foods ready to purchase, mainly quick service type items like pizza, orange chicken, and Mexican food station, and lots of items for salads. They had some baked goods as well but smiled when I saw the donuts individually packed in clamshell (for your safety?) while the pizza slices and everything else were wide open for anyone to touch. It also made me wonder if the baked goods were maybe made elsewhere and shipped in. Still, it wasn't nearly the selection you find at your local Vons or Ralphs. In the end, I didn't buy anything because everything I wanted was so friggin' expensive! 2-liter bottle of coke? $2.99. A 12-pack was "on-sale" for $6.49. A sale to me is 3 for $12. I scanned some crackers that I like that were $5.69 whereas I paid $3.69 at Vons. I did see a lot of Amazon employees bagging orders for pick up or delivery, so I can tell they do a brisk business in that category. Not a single employee acknowledged me though. New Fun Store Alert!! Amazon just opened this Amazon Fresh up and it was a fun experience to shop here! While it is "just" a grocery store, there's a cool option to shot with a smart cart that scans your items as you put them into your buggy (so you know exactly how much everything is costing before you get to the end)! I was really impressed with the fresh meat counter and their selection of seafoods and produce. They definitely had a lot of fresh options and things you can't always buy at other stores (think fresh scallops, multiple types of fish, Korean marinated beef, etc). I also liked the wide variety of cheese they had! There's also a fresh food counter where you can order meal-ready items to go like pizza, sushi, soups and salads. The food all looked good there too. You can also return Amazon fresh purchases at a separate counter in there and that seemed to make it easy for the folks needing that. The store was very clean and there was an abundance of workers everywhere so if you had a question it was easy to track someone down. The girl who helped us when we walked in was super friendly and explained to us how to use the electric cart and how the check out at the end was to work. They also had regular cart and people on EVERY CHECKOUT LANE! I put that in all caps because often you go to a store that has like 8 lanes and only 2 open and there's always a long line, not the case here! That was refreshing. They also gave me a $10 coupon for spending over $35. The store was impeccable and everything was perfect. The shopping cart was the one where it scans your items for you and is a bit small but overall it worked for us. When we checked out we had to get an extra bag to put some of our stuff in to carry to our car. Great experience overall. Some minor glitches and nothing that wasn't quickly fixed. Amazon Fresh shares a busy parking lot with Costco, yet parking is surprisingly sufficient and it's easy to find a spot. As a first time customer, an employee at the door was happy to explain our shopping options: 1: old school ~ pick a cart, do your shopping, check out with the cashier 2: modernized shopping with a smart cart ~ scan your Amazon app on the cart handle and your items automatically get scanned as you put them in the bags that are already provided in the cart We're all familiar with the old school method, so let's talk about the modernized shopping experience. It's nice & convenient, you're bagging your items as you're shopping, so you're saving a step. When you're done, there's a special area you pause at and the cart will ask if you're finished and your Amazon account is charged for your groceries. Easy peasy, although if you think about it too much, also a bit creepy ~ exactly HOW are the items scanned as you put them in your bag??? You're not manually doing it, but some how the cart knows. Regarding the store itself ~ it's traditionally laid out, nicely organized & stocked, and clean. There's a deli counter that also offers hot pizza by the slice and a salad bar which is determined by weight. About those Dash Carts... why do they have like 50 of them in store but only release a few at a time? We love Amazon Right? As far as the Overpriced grocery store, not so much. I came in here to check out the pizza selection today and was surprised they actually had an Italian looking pizza (Not Pepperoni) or some other lame fusion of Italian pizza. So I took my lunch items to the One cashier that was open with a line of about 5 people standing there. I was greeted by two individuals apon walking in and noticed several employees strolling around looking confused. So I think I'd rather see more cashiers and less greeters at least at lunch time when we're all just trying to eat lunch and get back to work. Be very careful with this market, they will rip you off by overcharging you on some items and sometimes charging you on the item and the clerk will not include it in your bag. You end paying something and when you get home it's not in the bag. Then when you clarify, clerk will tell that they have a glitz on their part and will be corrected, Beware and pay attention customers, don't get rip off. I had high hopes for Amazon Fresh, but sadly was disappointed by the lack of competitive pricing. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because they have a free Volta charging station, and both chargers were working. I came in on a weekday night and thankfully the store was uncrowded. I found what I needed, but was shocked at some of the prices of common items. For example, I normally buy whole wheat bread at Ralphs for $1.99, but Amazon Fresh was selling their cheapest whole wheat bread for $3.49. They sell the same brands as other grocery stores, and maybe have a few more "boutique" options for certain items. I should also mention that I only had one credit card on me on hand that day to pay, and it's one I hardly use (I only make auto payments on it like for my Netflix subscription). It just so happened that 5 days after I purchased from this store, I started getting a flux of fraud charges on this card. For the past few years I've had this card, I've never had any fraud activity on this card. It may be coincidental, but I personally will avoid shopping here in the future. read more

Amazon fresh is really trying to be technologically advanced compared to other grocery stores, yet it all sucks. My mother and I tried using the carts that allow you to scan all your items and checkout all with your amazon account. Then when attempting to check out, they don't take EBT and the carts can only use the card that is in your amazon account. Very inconvenient. Then after we have to go through a normal checkout and rescan everything( a months worth of food and other for our family) turns out we can't even take this cart outside to unload the 7 heavy bags into our car??!! What is the point of introducing and completely self check out cart when there aren't even different payment methods and you. can't even take the cart outside you have to move ALL your things into a normal cart or two because normal carts are smaller- it's all a big inconvenience. read more

This was a cool experience. Made food shopping feel like a video game. Produce was nice, isles were stocked well, store was clean and quiet. The carts are awesome!! U put the food in and it just scans what u drop in. The main benefit is that you see how much you're spending before u actually leave the store and pay. The cart keeps an updated value so u know if you're getting carried away shopping in a website created to sell books. The cart also suggests great impulse items u can purchase via your Amazon account, the benefit of this is wildly expensive impulse buys that you'll see in 2 days if it is a prime item!! I have visited, and shopped many Amazon Fresh stores. What I find is these stores lack a wow factor with exception to the digital carts for easy checkout. What I do notice is most people are using these stores to shop for a small variety of items rather than spending the weekly budget for food here. The best location is in Irvine. The store at that location is very lively. This location is quite. On my Saturday visit that had one register open for checkout (in case your not an Amazon member). I found the selection just okay. They sell everything you would expect in staple items, but do not expect a he selection as a full size grocery store. This is going to be a little different than a pedestrian review of a standard grocery store. Mostly because Amazon Fresh isn't any standard grocery store. By now you probably get the concept of the store. It can operate as a typical grocery/market where you grab your cart and start shopping, stand in line and pay when you're done, or you can use one of the automated carts that links to your Amazon Prime account. One thing about that option that I didn't know is that you're limited to two standard paper bags worth of groceries. The two bags come in the cart and once you link your Prime account, you're on your way. The technology utilizes a combination of bar code scanning (by the cart), four digit code entries for produce and weight. There is a scale on the surface of the cart. Clearly, these are not your every-day grocery carts with wildly unbalanced wheels that pull to the right. These are very expensive and complicated machines. They're essentially rolling cash registers. And since I'm discussing the technology piece, let me say that this portion of the experience was fine. It requires the shopper to be more aware of what he places in his bag, and where in the bag he places it (for the sake of space). We did have one minor glitch when my wife and I put something in the bag at the same time, but it was easily and quickly fixed by one of the several available staff members. By the end of the visit, I sort of liked the technology of the cart and it made the checkout part of the process lighting fast. The reader on the cart shows you a running total of your purchases and is easy to read and navigate. As mentioned, there is plenty of staff on hand for anyone who has an issue or a question. Everyone we interacted with was very friendly and helpful. The store itself, is laid out perfectly. There are arrows on the floor designed to help navigate shoppers through the store in an efficient and safe way. Also, there are several hand sanitizing stations throughout that are built to stay - long after COVID is a memory. Visually, the produce section is beautiful. A closer look reveals that the selection of organic offerings is sparse for a store and department as large as this location. BOOKMARK THIS SPOT FOR A MOMENT... The meat section is pretty standard but looked a little light on supply. I'm thinking this is because the store is so new - only open for four days. If your thing is frozen meals and foods, they have you covered. We breezed by these sections, but they seem nicely stocked. Same can be said for dairy. They have a standard selection of cheeses which includes more than a few organic offerings. BOOKMARK THIS PART TOO... The rest of the store seems quite standard. Much like an Albertsons or a Ralphs. They seemed to have all of the products and brands most of us are going to be looking for. Lots of wine and liquor. ANOTHER BOOKMARK... The last and most impressive section of Amazon Fresh is the 'Fresh Kitchen' section where fresh made meals and foods are available. There are pizzas ($8.99 for an 18 inch pizza!), sushi, poke, fresh bread, sandwiches and salads. It would be great to work next door to this place! BACK TO THOSE BOOKMARKS: Where Amazon Fresh really fumbles is with pricing. Who doesn't love shopping Amazon?! Sure it might make us feel bad every so often, but who else can deliver an electric coffee pot, a raft for your pool and a pocket knife tomorrow by 9pm? And WHAT usually motivates our decision to use Amazon instead of popping out and hitting Target? Usually price! Nobody beats Amazon's prices. At Amazon Fresh, this is not so. Not even close. While there are a few reasonably priced items, most of Amazon Fresh's prices are substantially higher than you will find at Target or Wal Mart or at your basic supermarket. Some of their prices are outrageous. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason to it. So, I'm marking this store down on that detail, which is a big one. I'm marking down Amazon, NOT this location. The experience is fun and engaging. I can totally see all grocery stores operating like this in due time. But the price structure - especially for a brand like Amazon is really off the mark by a long shot. It almost feels opportunistic. read more

The cart is pretty cool! Try it! It's a pretty typical store. A lot of the shelves were empty when i went, which was like...a month ago since this review? So not the height of covid is what i'm saying. Employees are SUPER nice and helpful. The fish/meat counter was to die for! But the prices are normal - some are quite reasonable and some are high - but even tho they are paired with whole foods, they have mostly the 365 brand, not the "whoa is that starfruit and black truffle shavings in parm cheese" food. went around 9pm, this is my third time going, i struggled with the self service cart, my first time going to the Fullerton store, as I was walking away one of the employees sprint over to us shouting did you sign in? After i said yes he just did not say anything and left, I thought it was weird , ignored it, doing some light shopping and the whole time he was starring, once we checked out he was literally next to the cart just starring my cart the whole time , which made me feel like I did something wrong, he did not even say "everything ok" or have a great night. My reviews are mostly about service and hospitality as I too work in the food industry so I understand the behind the scenes when it comes to restaurants and working with guest. I read the reviews on here and didn't believe them. I know people can be very picky and base a bad review on the dumbest things..... But folks were right! Was in the store about an hour and NOT ONE SINGLE associate acknowledged our existence. I accidentally dropped an item spilling it and the associated saw but turned around the moment I looked at him to tell him I made a mess. He helped me but only after I approached him. The cashier was very quiet, answered my questions but hardly looked up. The folks at the food bar were also.... VERY quiet not even talking amongst themselves! Very strange vibe but I'm sure they're in their own world. Pros? The store is well stocked and VERY neat! Either way give them a try! read more

I went here to do a return. Their business hours posted on the door says Open till 10pm. It doesn't say only grocery store open till 10pm. They would not accept my return because they said the Return dept closes an hour early. It takes less than 10secs to scan a return. Terrible customer service read more

The guys working the deli section are really attentive impressed with the customer service compared to the other grocery stores I frequent. Got a pound of baby Swiss and Mac salad small order but they were quick and helpful. read more
