This is our local market. The staff is very nice especially Juan, Carolina, Michelle, and Gayle. This store is always clean. My grandpa feels comfortable getting his lotto tickets here. I recently ordered a bday cake from here and everyone loved it! It was easy to order and the price was great. I got so many compliments on it, that i ordered another one for another event this week! First and Foremost I have to thank the whole Store. But mostly today this morning to Armie and Carolina. So I couldn't find my home keys (garbage, laundry, etc) and they were on a black rope with the 4 keys on there. My son texts me and says why don't you go to Ralphs and get me something to drink. by the way i Kept replaying or retracking the keys. I'm like why not. I go to ralphs and at self check out i see Armie I asked armie did anyone turn in some keys theres 4 keys on it. She was nice to walk me to the front where we spoke to Carolina. Carolina looked and what do you know in the 2nd drawer. I gave carolina a hug i thanked her. I cried because those keys are very important. I like this Ralphs location. It's always well stocked and everything I'm looking for when I'm looking for it. The aisles are a bit narrower than most grocery stores but I find most Ralphs are set up that way. As long as there are decent shopping cart drivers heading towards you like oncoming traffic and they aren't trying to drive down the middle while looking lost or searching for that one can of green beans on a top shelf and unaware of their surroundings, you should be fine to pass without incident or harm. The place is nice and clean and the produce is always bright and cheery. You gotta love cheery produce. Parking, yes parking can be a challenge more so when trying to exit the lot. Seems easier if you park on the right side of the store (when facing it). A lot of businesses share this lot so the other side stays crowded. read more

This Ralph's is a little out of the way but they usually have everything in stock and in abundance so it's never a waste of time driving over here. I'm mainly writing this review because I was looking for a drink and Anna was quick to help me out and walk me to where it was. She offered to check if there was more in the back if I wanted more. Huh. After reading some of the scary reviews, I feel like I was at a different location (so much so, that I literally rechecked the address before writing this review heh). Items seem fresh, service is professional (albeit not particularly warm -- no biggie), and overall it was a great experience. My only complaint: the parking lot seems chaotic. I can't tell if it's bad drivers or a flaw in traffic flow design. Either way, it seemed a little... yeah, chaotic. Other than that, seems like a great location to pick up the essentials. Had about 20 minutes to wait for my to-go order from Black Bear Diner so I swung by Ralphs for a few items for my weekly restock. There are no Ralph's near where I live anymore so it was nice to shop here. The parking is one-way, for a majority, of this parking lot so had to circle around to find a parking spot. The parking lot was quite full on a Saturday morning, especially near Black Bear Diner and the Martial Arts Academy. In the produce section, one of the restockers even said "hi" to me so that was really nice and unexpected. Grabbed a few items, browsed, and completed self-checkout. Compared to other Ralphs I've been to this is certainly not the best, but it's not terrible either and wins in the end. My best experience at a Kroger-owned store like Ralphs was in Arizona, where they're not called Ralphs, but Fry's. We had Fry's Food & Drug, Fry's Home & Garden, Fry's Signature, etc etc. We had this thing called ClickList where you'd order groceries ahead of time from the comfort of your home, then you'd drive to the store, someone would come out and place said groceries into the trunk of your vehicle and you'd drive home. Easy to keep food fresh that way if you brought a cooler with ice packs or if you're one of those privileged folks with built-in refrigerators in your car. Also, there was free WiFi in the store. This Ralphs doesn't have any of those feature sets. Hell, I get crap 4G LTE signal in the store and have to switch to 3G just to get signal (I've tested both on Verizon and T-Mobile). The store is small. The parking lot is just as small and there are homeless people that dig through trash right outside the store entrance from time to time. The side of the parking lot smells like sewage. But is the Ralphs close to home? Yeah. And can I get my shopping here done quickly? Yeah. Is the store well-stocked? Yeah. When they're out of stock on an item (rare, and it's usually for good reason, like a product recall) does the management team try to work with the customer? Yeah. These are all positives. So why compare a grocery store in Orange County, California to that of Phoenix, Arizona? Well, they're owned by the same parent company, and for a state like California that is currently #1 economically against all 49 other states in the USA, I expect better from grocery store offerings. This store just doesn't cut it. But I have to remember that when writing Yelp reviews I can't always compare one product offering against that in a wildly different territory. Otherwise, every pizza place in California would be a 1 star compared to most pizza joints in New York City. So, yes, Ralphs earns a 4 out of 5 for me here at this particular store. But if you asked me to compare against other Kroger-owned grocery stores, this is easily a 3 star or even a 2. Don't get me started on Kroger stores in Texas... They're huge! 87 aisles at one store I went to. I may or may not have reviewed on Yelp. This store definitely has nothing on that one. read more

The care and preparation at this location's deli and bakery section seems to have 'gone out the window.' I should have known better than buying the rotisserie chicken again. The last time, the chicken was very small and extremely dry, almost inedible. How quickly I forgot and regrettably so. The chicken was again so dry, I wonder if they brine their rotisserie chicken and meats. It is a step necessary to keep its meats moist and tender. It literally broke apart when I sliced into it with a knife because the bones were so dried up. The meat was hard and had little flavor because it was so overcooked. The chicken at Costco, by comparison, is twice the size, always very plump and juicy and a dollar cheaper! Ralphs should carefully reexamine and evaluate the way it prepares its food at the deli, especially the meats that comes out of the rotisserie. They should be embarrassed to sell rotisserie chicken that is so overcooked and undersized! I recommend not buying it here until they have properly addressed this issue or stop selling it all together. read more

I can't believe this Ralph's even has a 3 star Rating!! First of all, lucky for me this is not my normal Grocery store. I was only stopping to pick up my elderly mother some groceries on my way home from work. I usually shop at Vons. I am used to the occasional people that stand at the entrance asking to support a charity or even to sign a petition. I can say no thank you and move on with my day. However, to my surprise, THIS store actually allows Spectrum to be in the store trying to sell you internet, cable, and phone services. Now these are representatives TRAINED in Hard Core Sales Tactics and the do it with a smile on their face. I was in the deli section when I was approached by this representative. I said I don't think your supposed to be in the store to which he responded that they knew they were inside and condoned them being there. So I was nice and said my typical no thank you. This guy just kept trying to sell to me. I then asked him to leave me alone, I'm trying to shop for groceries. If I wanted spectrum, I certainly wouldn't go to the grocery store to get it. Pretty fired up right now, so let me be objective for two seconds: I shop here exclusively, and for the most part, it's a great store. Not top-notch, but it's decent, and the price point falls in my comfort zone. Today, however, I was checking out, and the bagger, some light-skinned, dread-locked idiot with a shitty attitude on her face, sneezed on my damn groceries as she was bagging it up!! Not really thinking about what she did, I impulsively said "bless you," because it's courteous. (And really, for no other reason.) Rather than simply say, "Thank you," (like a human would), she started her response with, "Actually," (sounding like a bitch), and went on to tell me some nonsense about where she thought that phrase originated from. (Apparently, this "offended" her.) I didn't realize she was intentionally being rude until I thanked her (because I'm polite to people that work minimum-wage, service positions) and realized she wouldn't even acknowledge me with eye contact. She literally looked right past me (but clearly heard me). So, Ralphs, if you read this, common courtesy is now gone. Next time one of your baggers feels the need to be condescending as I spend money that keeps her sloppy ass employed, I'm walking right out the door, and she can put that shit back on the shelves, right where it came from. For starters the older white lady with grey hair the whole time she was ringing me up she ignored me multiple times and started a conversation with a customer behind me the whole transaction very rude. then she just mad dogs anytime she sees me instead of customer service on mind. So now when I shop I do self check out but now they have have someone to aggressively hover over you while he mad dogs you and didn't offer to help. Ralphs is my store, has been for years. The one I always shopped at got closed down and I was pushed in other directions for a few years. Then I moved near 2 more and once again it became my mainstay for big groceries. True, I like other markets including trendy ones and "healthy" ones, but for the major household trips, I choose Ralphs. I like this location quite a bit. It's large and well organized, typically clean too. I can't think of a time when I've left the store feeling like I was missing something. They've got it all. I will say, however, that the actual employees at this locale could use a little caffeine and maybe a 1/2 more of a happy pill. Not bad, but not over the top either. I would still give this location a 5 star rating because it is Ralphs and because it is a beautiful store, even the employees don't push it down much of a star. It's definitely 5 star... you know what kicks it down? That god-awful parking lot!!! Depending on where you are stuck parking, you are literally STUCK sometimes waiting for cars to get out at the signal at Harbor. Plus, it's confusing and really cramped. Regarding Ralphs in general (not this particular location but ALL Ralphs), the prices are decent, much better than Vons or Albertsons yet a little more than Stater Brothers... however Ralphs has more selection than Stater (and cleaner stores). Their store brand is pretty comparable to name brands and I have no hesitation buying them. I also LOVE the Ralphs Fuel Discount (points system). Seems I am constantly receiving 10-20 cents per gallon on fill-ups! Love that!!! Just tossing in my 2 Yelp Cents for this Ralphs location. I visited this store pharmacy looking for some over the counter products, i asked the pharmacist an asian descent man if they had the item, described the item. He did not leave his computer an shouted, we have a lot of clear liquid items in the store. The arrogance and demeanor of not caring for customer was upsetting. I have always been a fan of Ralphs, and this Ralphs was considerably good for many reasons. The only minor issue I had was at the checkout. Not that I cared, but I was not really greeted and the cashier was asking for a drink and my bag was left on the cashier table. Till a freindly fella came and put it in my basket. I will not call managers or name names, nothing like that, just want to express that when I am a customer I want to always have a certain level of dignity. Overall, I did like the way the store looked, very clean, very compact, easy to get around and even the tempature was right. They had a coffee booth, a great deli, bakery section and fish. They had great prices on roasted peanuts, ruffles and a few other items today. The parking was a breeze but I can imagine it gets more crowded during the day hours. The employees here do not greet you as often as the Pico Rivera Ralphs, but, its cool. I came in the evening and so no fried chicken, was it timing or did they not have fried chicken? The back area where they kept the fish, really really smelled like fish, I can't complain, right? its fish. Overall, I enjoyed this Ralphs and plan to come back. read more

I have always shopped at a local Ralphs supermarket. One of the things that I like most about them is that they have a floral department. You get to grab a dozen roses or/and such and ask the floral clerk to wrap it for so they look even nicer. This totally beats going to the florist where a dozen roses can cost you $60 easily. One dozen roses = $10. Baby's breath = a few bucks. Arrangement = free. Sweet deal right? Well, today was my first time at this specific location. I grabbed some red roses and asked the floral lady clerk if she could please re-wrap it especially because its dripping water from the bottom of them stems as I removed them out of the pail. She looks at me and says "Well that's why we have those plastic bags". I was so appalled I just stared at her. She did her job anyway and re-wrapped it. Being the nice person I am, I smiled and said thank you very much. Dear people in customer service: Please please please QUIT YOUR JOB if you hate people or cannot pretend you're happy if you're in the RETAIL INDUSTRY. Don't take your problems out on us.
