I have always shopped at a local Ralphs supermarket. One of the things that I like most about them is that they have a floral department. You get to grab a dozen roses or/and such and ask the floral clerk to wrap it for so they look even nicer. This totally beats going to the florist where a dozen roses can cost you $60 easily. One dozen roses = $10. Baby's breath = a few bucks. Arrangement = free. Sweet deal right? Well, today was my first time at this specific location. I grabbed some red roses and asked the floral lady clerk if she could please re-wrap it especially because its dripping water from the bottom of them stems as I removed them out of the pail. She looks at me and says "Well that's why we have those plastic bags". I was so appalled I just stared at her. She did her job anyway and re-wrapped it. Being the nice person I am, I smiled and said thank you very much. Dear people in customer service: Please please please QUIT YOUR JOB if you hate people or cannot pretend you're happy if you're in the RETAIL INDUSTRY. Don't take your problems out on us. No alcohol sales for an expired driver's license? Hello~ the DMV is closed! Would not accept the printed extension offered by the DMV. An expired ID does not change your birthdate. Besides, why would someone create a fake ID that was expired?! When asking management about their policy I was told that they hadn't received any notice from corporate regarding accepting DMV extensions, regardless would still not honor the extension. Really miss Annamarie from the deli. She made this place 5 stars. I really wish they would bring her back. Marissa is also a super great employee always helpful even when she's busy she goes out of her way to make sure she can be of service. All the staff here is pretty welcoming. By far the best Ralph's I have ever been to. I just moved to this area and it's great to have this Ralph's nearby and it's become my main shopping place. I worked for the health food industry / health food grocery store for 20 years and I'm still impressed with this Ralph's. The selection is great and the buyers did a great job. Store doesn't enforce mask policy. The majority of employees and some customers are not wearing a mask. They ask that you remove your own mask to buy alcohol, which would be fine if they enforce said policy. Disgusting. read more

For Earl specifically... this is my local Ralph's. Most convenient, even if they don't always have what I'm looking for. With the current climate, and home isolation being required, it's nice to have a grocery store I can walk to. I always have an average experience, nothing that usually over frustrates me or sets a higher bar until I went in a past Sunday. The Chase bank was closed but I knew that I could get quarters at Ralph's so started my afternoon walk. (Our laundry machine only takes quarters and my pup had decided that she wanted to make quite the mess that REQUIRED laundry to be done) First staff member I encountered told me that she had no quarters what-so-ever, something about everyone coming Friday and asking the same thing, so I asked if I could just trade a dollar or two to get my one load of laundry done. No dice. I walked around feeling defeated to find my partner picking out food at the deli counter. We go to check out in Earl's line, he's the only staff member I always seem to consistently recognize, and as we're checking out I asked him the same question. -"How many quarters do you need?" -"As many as you are willing to give me. I really just need $3 to do a load of laundry but I have a $10 if needed because I know how the rolls come." Just like that Earl checks his cashier draw to see if he has change, dismayed by the amount in the draw he goes to check the back stock. I'm left with the bag boy for a few minutes and inform him about my dogs accident on her blankets before Earl, the super hero, comes around with a roll of quarters. I could not have been more thankful. Earl went above and beyond to make a special moment during a trying time. Others in line were even understanding and impressed by his willingness to help. I truly hope that the management values him as much as his customers do because he is one in a million. read more

The whole place needs some sage or Palo Santo. The vibe is really low. Like painful. Shopping here and seeing Gale in the deli was a highlight for my kids and me. (Pre Covid) She is such a sweet and kind soul. When I saw her this past trip I was pained. She looked stressed, tired and like she was struggling to breathe. Maybe I caught her at the end of the shift but her mask was down and she pulled it up. Another older white lady wasn't wearing one at all and stared at me like I was a ghost from the little circle window in the door from the back room -- awkward!. I don't bother with her name she has terrible customer service generally anyway. Moving on the only kind people I've found in this store through all this are in the Meat Department -- restocking or cleaning the display. The last vestiges of humanity are the vendors restocking the displays and maybe that's because they aren't Ralph's employees at this location. This is a last resort store for me. I prefer a different Ralph's where associates haven't been raked over coals and aren't visibly beaten down, tired and angry/grumpy. Maybe change the radio station and offer more breaks? Something has to change! The employees set the shopping tone for the customer. read more

I've been a regular at Ralphs for a good 20 years since my kids were small. I know there are lots of grocery stores but Ralphs seems to be my own personal favorite. The vegetables are better quality than most stores and their selection is better. This particular store is pretty good with customer service, I'm sort of new to the area and they greeted me very well here. I am big on that... Customer service is good, western union is quick and easy and there is a good selection of markdowns. I do miss double coupons I sure wish they would bring them back even if it's just a once a month thing. read more

This must be the best store - with the best people imaginable for a grocery store. . After 3 years, I have had what I consider the best advice and help finding things that I have experienced with any chain supermarket. Get ready to write down some names of these extraordinary employees:' Pauline Torian (an extremely kind and helpful manager!), Amanda Riive, Earl Westerling (one of the best!!), SteveOkerlund (ditto - one of the very best!), Karina Figueroa, Cole McDowell, Luke Schatzman, among others. I hope I got the spelling correctly. Bottom line is that this store (Dist 7, store 72) reminds me of my Dad's grocery and butcher shop from the 1950s, where every customer got the red carpet treatment, even ones that spoke little English. This place was nice! The first one I've been to with a Starbucks, which I really needed after a long day at work and a few hours before dinner. Love is clean and plenty of in stock items. It's halfway between my work and home. My biggest complaint is the parking lot; it's all one way. Makes it very difficult to even park. My Starbucks barista wasn't very pleasant, they weren't rude just didn't acknowledge people. Otherwise my experience was very pleasant. read more

I really appreciate Gale behind the deli counter. I suffer from Congestive Heart Failure and am required to keep my sodium to a minimum. I saw they have home made tortilla chips and I didn't see salt anywhere on the bag. So I went to Gale to double check. I told her I have CHF and can't do the salt and she said let me get you some fresh ones that she knows have no salt out of the back. Then went on to tell me a about someone she knows that has the same thing and has lived a great long life. It was a great experience. Thanks Gale. I will be back. read more

while im not a regular patron at Ralphs Fullerton, my recent experience will certainly change that. I was in a hurry and needed directions so I had to interrupt Tammy from the bakery section who was busy hauling a container of hot freshly baked products. She patiently took the time to respond to me with such a warm and welcoming attitude, totally unexpected from someone unpleasantly interrupted in the middle of a task. That is impressive service attitude that should be the standard in retail, Ralphs has definitely trained their staff very well. read more

I like ralphs. I like their olive bar, their assortment of beers. I don't like their overpriced cigarettes (over $6 for a pack of my brand) and slow cashiers. Veggies and fruits are fresh and there's a lot of them. A week ago I bought asparagus for 99 cents per pound! Amazing! Parking is gynormous enough. Oh yeah, I just noticed a new thing. The prices here are reasonable. However the customer service is hit or miss so I rarely come here anymore. I usually grab a quick snack from the deli. I like the beef dinner with macaroni and cheese. It is a large portioned meal that is reasonably priced. I also like the pasta fagioli. The last time I ordered the chicken here, it was really dry. The people behind the counter at the deli can be really rude and dismissive. It would be nice if the meat section were larger. It is small with little selection. read more

I shop here, this is my regular grocery store. And since I live so close I probably frequent here 5-7 times a week. They always have what I need and the staff is great. Let me tell you my biggest complaint... the solicitors! I am so sick of being asked to either buy something or donate money, or sign a petition, etc. I go here almost daily and there is ALWAYS someone hitting me up for something, I am sick of it!!! I'm not sure how this store managed to find so many happy, helpful people who love their jobs, but they did it. This is my closest grocery store and I consistently receive excellent, friendly customer service. Their regular prices are pretty average, but their deals are excellent. I'm able to feed a family of four WELL on $100/wk at this store, and that even includes a couple bottles of wine for us grown-ups. read more

Two great things: * We stopped at three places looking for Wet Ones, and this, the third stop, stocked them. * They have shopping carts adorned with little car and cab enclosures appended to the front. Your child can sit and steer while safely strapped in as you shop. Props! read more

This is probably one of the best markets in the area, they pretty much have everything you need. They have a Bakery, Deli, the food they sell doesn't look exceptionally great but I'm sure its pretty good! They even have a lady that makes sushi and packs it up in the little containers, it's pretty awesome. But one thing I really like is the fact that they also have self checkout. Every supermarket should be equipped with self checkout by now, and this one is so thats a plus. read more

Extremely rude staff. After walking through a wine isle, an older, heavy set staff member with white hair wearing a face shield and mask yanked a our shopping cart out of our hands because we were walking in the wine isle that had an earlier spill. There was no liquid on the ground, we just wanted to grab a bottle but he approached all upset and yanked the cart from my girlfriends hands, moving it out of the isle. What was the point of that? We ultimately would have moved, there was no reason to be rude and scold us and snatch our cart. Corporate will be notified! read more

This is a pretty large store with a service deli and bakery and have a good sized liquor department. They have a Pete's Coffee location inside. The service is hit and miss sometimes you'll get long lines and have to fight with the self checkout machines which usually result in some sort of need for an approval by an actual person anyway. I prefer mothers Market in Brea but this will work for quick trips. read more

It's my routine regular grocery store. I like that it has self-check. Stater's doesn't. I've always had good customer service and like that the guys stocking the shelves smile & ask if I'm finding everything OK. The women don't, so go figure. I'm a senior citizen. What I despise about Ralph's is their gas station. They made an effort to direct traffic by posting signs, but they have two aisles on the exterior sides that allow rude customers to cut in front of others waiting their turn. Last time it happened an elderly man with a heavy mid-eastern accent told me to "f" off after I tried to tell him he cut in front of me. Not worth the confrontation. I go across the street to ARCO now. Same price. Ralph's just isn't worth the 10-cent per gallon discount. Besides, I have to spend a lot of money to earn that discount. read more

The people are excellent! They will help you with what ever you need. I have been to other Ralph's did not receive the same treatment. Location is very convenient. Located right on Harbor Blvd. this Ralphs is the closest location to my house and is usually pretty buzzing. The parking lot is usually half full with a bunch of other surrounding shops in the plaza including Subway, Big Bear Diner, and Wing Stop along with Ralphs Fuel Station. It's pretty easy to find a spot for parking on the side of the store but to park in front is a bit tricky and dangerous as some people don't know how to slow down in Fullerton and wait for pedestrians. The inside of the store is quite clean and has very friendly staff who are ready to answer any questions. Anytime I have been in a hurry and needed to know where a specific item was located they knew off the bat which aisle it was in which is definitely a plus. They also have a Red Box inside which is where my family usually rents their movies from. My only complaints with this branch are that 1. there is no key to the restrooms so they smell awful from the homeless who bathe in there 2. parking lot can sometimes be hazardous for pedestrians as previously mentioned 3. not enough check out lanes open and 4. self-check out seems to take a lot longer than it should compared to say Target. read more

I've always just viewed Ralph's as a neccessary evil. I've always lived near one but have opted for Stater's or Trader's. This location though is pretty nice, roomy and well set up. I've got some great stuff from their deli, butcher and they have a great dairy section. Surprising though is their great selection of fruits and vegetables. Kudos to the head of this department for I've yet been disappointed with the selection. They also have a pretty extensive beer and wine section. Many organic choices and brands you may see at Trader's or Fresh n' Easy. This may be due to the fact that this location caters to the tinge uppity Sunny Hills communtiy. Great bakery too. Perhaps the worst Ralph's in Orange County. It's too small and is always missing something. It's the closest store to my house, but the aggravation of not having items cancels out its proximity advantage. The gas station has great prices but closes at 9:30 on a Saturday night. It's just poorly managed. Ralph's needs to close this store down to protect its image. read more

Ralph's ran an ad this week for 50% off King Crab Legs that did NOT indicate the regular price or the sale price. At the seafood counter they were price $24.99 with a 50% sign attached. I was then told that $24.99 was the 50% reduced price. Surely he must have been mistaken so I questioned him again and got the same response. I buy King Crab Legs often and have never seen them priced $49.98 per pound. Regular price at Albertsons and Sprouts is $24.99. I called the so-called Manager this morning, Ralph's in Fullerton, and she verified that their regular price was $49.98 and that she had nothing to do with pricing and marketing but would relay my concerns-doubtful! She said that I was welcome to shop anywhere for a better value-something I already know. My issue is deceptive advertising. 50% off a doubled price without mentioning the price in your ad is clearly a come-on to get you in the store. I replaced everything else in my cart an left the store. I am also moving my pharmacy to Albertsons. read more
