Small mom and pop shop for Indonesian bumbu, snacks, food and goods. Oma working the shop is really sweet and kind. Saturdays there are fresh indo dishes and kue kue sold first come first serve. I hope they stay open forever, so nice to have access to Indo goods locally. read more

I was so shocked when I found an Indonesian mart in OC! For some reason, it is so difficult to purchase Nasi Goreng paste. I have looked everywhere, H Mart, Seafood City, even Whole Foods did carry it at one time but no longer. That's when I thought hmm wonder if there's any specialty indo shops in OC? It was quite a trek from Irvine but definetly worth the trip. ABC is a no frills bare minimum store. Don't expect much at all - but I assure you the products here you can't find elsewhere unless you're in SE Asia. There so many spice mixes & majority halal yay! In the back corner there were Batiks hidden away which were priced very well, considering legit Batiks are hard to come by in the US. I spent a little over $30 - I purchased a lot of different nasi goreng mixes & a big box of Indomie. I will for sure be back! Just a note, if you're paying card, $20 minimum transaction ! read more

I was there when this rude Karen lady (who gave 1 star review) complained about the price difference. The cashier IS the OWNER of the store! She told you the price on the shelf was not updated. She told you the right price and you still bought the items. IT WAS FREAKING ONE DOLLAR DIFFERENCE!!! If you don't want to buy it? DON'T! No one forces you to buy anything and feel free to get out of the store! Obviously that is not the store for you to shop! Go to 99 cent store where you belong! I am Indonesian and I like this store, they sell almost everything of Indonesian cuisine from snacks, cookies, spices, drinks and variety home made foods. Their prices are reasonable and good products, it's worth to try for non Indonesian though. read more

Small store selling a variety of Indonesian products. The prices on the products does not reflect the cashier - up charging. I tried to bring attention to her display price vs what she was charging. She said that what she was ringing up on cash register was correct. I told her change the price on the display, so that it reflects on the item. I am sure she would not like to go to a store and pay different prices for items listed. By charging extra on each items she is cheating customers. Personally I don't like deceptive business practices. Please don't take this personally if you are emotionally attached and vested shopper, I am just trying to make a point. If you love shopping at a place where they charge you more than the posted price just be happy and pay. It's the principle of doing business and honesty. I have no emotional attachment or knowledge of who owns this place. Also I did buy and pay for the items because I was trying to support small businesses. That's the point of this review. I would do this review if another business was operating like this. For the record, there was no mention of price not being updated. This is was from the experience at this place. read more

THIS PLACE IS A DREAM!!!!! Rose the owner is so sweet and she has everything. I was looking for this specific NY Siok shrimp cracker that my boyfriend's grandma loves that are impossible to find ($23 and $60 online) and she has the freshest Indonesian bakery items and the store is so cute. She also serves Pastels and Rosales on Saturday mornings which we will deff be coming back for. Heaven! read more

Always go there when craving for my indo food! Lots of spices and dry snacks from back home. Price reasonable & the only fresh home cook meal they sell is on Saturday! If you are in LA area there are a lot of other choices such as Ai Medan Kitchen, Indofood restaurant who also sells spices & snacks, or Sams Nutrition in Monterey Park. I drove al the way from La to come here!!! Their Kagstels are amazing!!!! It's my favorite snack but make sure to go early in the morning if you want them because they fly off the shelves fast!!!! I've been waiting for this over to open and it's finally open. They were open on August 14th and the owner said that it was crowded. Grand opening special..buy $20 or more and get sambal ABC (ABC hot sauce) for free. Some of the stuff they sell there: ABC soy sauce, Ultra Milk, Indonesian margarine, Ceres chocolate sprinkles (yum), Indonesian ready to cook spices, Teh Botol ( Sweet boxed tea..yum), Indonesian chips and snacks. The owner was very helpful. He said they had instant noodle promotion when I was there. You can also pick up your Indonesia media there. Btw they also sell spicy pickled fruit in the freezer. read more

I came here once on a Thursday morning. They have a pretty decent selection of Indonesian groceries. They pretty much just carry the essentials (i.e: bumbu, sambal, cake mixes, instant coffee). One plus for me was the fact that they carry this particular brand of bumbu names Conimex and I haven't seen this brand since I was very young and I haven't seen any other Indo grocery stores that carry this so it was nice to see they carry it. There was very little selection of the pre-made dishes that are kept in the refrigerator (the only one they had that day was nasi uduk and some lemper with some otak-otak) which I was a little disappointed about because I was originally under the impression they had much more. Then again, I know Sam's Nutrition in Monterrey Park has the same setup and they get a shipment of that stuff every Sunday, so maybe this is the same case with this store and I went on a day where there was no shipment. The couple that owns this store are very nice and helpful. If I'm ever in the area, I would come back. read more

ABC Indomart is a little gem in Orange County. There aren't many Indonesian stores, so having one that is literally 5-10 minutes away is a lifesaver. It's a small mom-and-pop shop with a variety of Indonesian snacks, drinks, cooking ingredients, etc. You can find different brands of bumbu, sambal, etc that are all reasonably priced. The owners are always so friendly (it's nice to be able to speak Bahasa Indonesia with fellow Indonesians) and on Saturday mornings they sell freshly cooked Indonesian meals. This is so convenient if you want to try some delicious Indonesian food without having to drive all the way to LA county where most Indonesian restaurants are located. Overall, highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to buy Indonesian products and try Indonesian food! read more

ABC is located at the corner of chapman and state college blvd which is a 5 min drive from where I live. I love the fact that I don't have to drive very far to get my favorite indonesian food. The prices are very competitive and they have a good selection of indonesian food. It's a mom and pop store so they are always full of smile, friendly, and very helpful. I guess in this economy, you'd be a fool to give bad and cold service. Bottomline, it's an awesome store, with lots of stuff to get when I am craving for indonesian food. I love trying exotic food products and noticed this place when I was at my local CVS. I walked in and checked it out, it's small but the selection of interesting spices and snacks was very high. The lady working at the register (I think she was the owner) was great and showed me some nice things that my family might like, I bought about 20 dollars of snacks and thought they were all great. I can't wait to try more stuff next time I go. Overall, solid experience with stuff you can't find in your local Ranch 99. I guess if I was Indonesian I would be here all the time. :) read more

I'll mention the positives first; decent selection of Asian foods. Now the negatives, the premade food is ridiculously overpriced and is sitting out by the register with no warmer, is that even legal? What upset me was I had my 2 very young kids with me and my 3-year old had to use the restroom and they wouldn't allow me to use it. I had to walk across the street, through a busy parking lot to CVS, to use theirs (very nice employees at CVS BTW). What infuriated me to no end was the young pregnant girl lied to me and said they don't even have a bathroom there; which I know they do since I'm familiar with that commercial center. On top of that, I just spent $25. In the future, I'll be doing my shopping at many other alternatives in the area! These are the facts and the facts are indisputable. read more

It's another Indonesian grocery store!!! =) I heard about this place from my sister in law who is always up to date with the Indo crowd. I've been getting my Indo groceries at Tip top, West Covina Hongkong Market, and Sam Nutrition. All are in SGV. Which is okay for me... But it's nice to know that there's an Indo market in OC too now! They carry the usual suspects, Teh kotak, blueband, bumbu pecel (and all kinds of other spices), and ovalet!!! Yes, it's nice to have ovalet near by without having to have someone lug it around from Indo.... I went to their grand opening today, and they hooked me up with free kue pukis, risoles, and guava juice box... =) I think it was free with purchase for today. I had a chat with the owner (obviously it's a family run mom and pop store), and when I asked if he would carry several items, he said he'll try to get them ordered from Indonesia... That's cool! Nice and clean small Indonesian packaged goods market. I bought some spices and gado gado to fry, everything i bought was recently packaged and fresh tasting. They did not have ragi tempeh starter, which I can't find anywhere except online. They did have ragi tape, though they also sell prepared tape in their refrigerated section. I went looking for Sushi rice but came out with prepared food instead. For $8.00 you get a meal wrapped in banana leaves filled with a chicken leg, a pickled egg, rice, beans, peppers and a cabbage like soup. I also bought these dough filled balls with a fish cake taste, and some meat and vegetable somosa like pastries. I'm still learning the names of everything but man was it delicious. The owner was very helpful and went through the whole store with me showing me and explaining what everything was. A little gem in Fullerton and yes, they do have Sushi rice. read more

I didn't know there's Indo Market in O.C til I browse Yelp.com(thanks yelp).so i made a visit on March 2012.I bought Lemper(freshly cooked),it taste pretty good,sambal terasi extra hot(that's dynamite)!!,also the botol sosro in a box(omg..I haven't had that in 4 yrs),just loving it and I can't leave without getting durian ice cream...one thing that's so expensive was Ritz chocolate sprinkler FOR$5,come on... but other than that everything else pretty reasonable price.the owners very friendly. Found this place on Yelp while visiting my grandma in Fullerton, CA. I spent 9 months in Indonesia and like to find Indonesian food and spices whenever I can. The store is very well stocked with premade food in the fridges in the back. You can find everything from krupuk and tehbotol to durian paste. I left with some tehbotol, spice mixes, and nasi kuning.
