Pretty sure I picked up an eye infection from here, not an "allergy" to the glue, a bacterial infection is what my optometrists says. Once I healed after 2 rounds of antibiotics & steroids and having to throw away all my makeup I came to get them removed(I could not do it myself) and the infection came back AGAIN..Makes me really wonder if their tools are ever cleaned at all. Additionally they had the nerve to charge me $25 for the removal even though it was their fault since sanitation of tools is not a priority here. Beware. Also my lashes were very sparse & short after the removal, nothing like they were before the extensions. read more

Worst customer service! My appointment was 2:30, got a reminder 2 days before my appointment for 2:30. Got a 2nd reminder the day of for 2:50. I get to the appointment and she told me I was 16 minutes late because it was supposed to be at 2:40. Yes, their system had three different times! The manager went on to say that she could only give me the master fee back. It's the Wednesday before thanksgiving and they cant get me in until Saturday. I intentionally booked the appointment so that my lashes were done right before the holiday. I've been a customer for 2 years. The management and the front desk people change like a revolving door. People at the front desk are different every time I go. This manager started November 16 and will probably be gone by January 16 - that's about the length of time they keep People. Just ridiculous how they treat loyal customers when it's their mistake. I have referred multiple people, but will no longer refer anyone. If someone can suggest a great lash place with decent customer service, please let me know. Amazing Lash's poor customer service is the reason they lose customers. And this poor customer service comes from management not the ladies who actually do your lashes. read more

I have had the worst experience with this location. The manager Kristin was so very rude to me after I discovered that my account was never frozen after I signed the form to freeze my account and they continued to charge my for services that I did not get. I asked for the owners name and phone number and the girl refused to give it to me saying that the owner was never to be contacted. Very poor customer service!! read more

I was a client here for over a year, when I decided not to continue with my monthly membership I went in and completed all the paperwork they requested (this is their policy- you cannot terminate your monthly membership over the phone, they require you to come in and sign a document). So I terminated the monthly membership in June and in November I noticed that I was still being charged on my Discover card. (Shame on me for not monitoring this more closely.) When I called, they put me on hold for an extended time (more than 10 minutes) and I was told that although I now had 7 pre-paid refills on my account they could only refund 3 months and that this was stipulated in my contract. How completely unacceptable - their mistake now penalizes me over $150??? Boo-hiss, bad bad business practices. In their defense, I was told they would research my issue and see what they could do in order to resolve it as I requested (a full refund). I will update this review if that happens. I am so disappointed. 16 days ago I posted this review and I still haven't heard anything from ALS on this. Their customer service is pathetic. Stay away. They are horrible! read more

This was my first time getting eyelashes. When I went in to the Katy one, which is on Fry rd. the ladies up front were not the friendliest. I think went back to a room and the whole experience was painless and relaxing, but I half to say since ive had the lashes ive have somewhat of a headache. I thought maybe it would go away but going on day 3 it hasn't. I doubt I will ever get lases again. Although I do half to say, they turned out very pretty! read more

I have been a customer at this location for almost a year. I had a standing appointment every Thursday morning at 10 am. I have been through 2 owners and a revolving door of employees at the reception desk. During the past year they have had problems with cleanliness, supplies, heating, cooling, and no water. But I really like my stylist so I didn't complain. In one years time my weekly visits went from $32 a week to $47 a week. That does not include my tip and the products that I buy. When I got ready to pay for my last visit I was informed that my normal $42 charge was now $47 and that was after the service was rendered with no prior warning. I was then informed by the newest manager that there would be yet another price increase. I asked why there wasn't some consideration given for a weekly regular paying customer and she blamed it on the franchise. There was no attempt to keep much less earn my business. So all I can surmise is that the Katy location doesn't need or appreciate the $2500 plus per year that I spend there which leaves me no choice but to take my business elsewhere. My best advise to any new customers is to make sure before your appointment to clarify your charges and if cleanliness and consistency is important to you look elsewhere for this service. read more

Awful customer service. I went in last week to get my first set of eyelash extensions. As soon as I got there I was handed a brochure stating the price of the monthly membership to be $49.99. I decided to get the lashes done, as I was willing to pay the $49.99 monthly membership fee. After getting my lash extensions put on, I was given the contract to sign for the monthly membership. Have you ever heard of BAIT AND SWITCH? Now that I have the lashes on, the price for the monthly membership has increased to $59.99 per month. I politely asked for them to honor the $49.99 fee that I was presented with when I walked in. The employee stated that the mistake was her fault as she put out the wrong brochures that were "old with incorrect pricing". That is not the customer's problem! After 5 days of trying to get this resolved, I got a call back from the manager, Kristen, who was very short and basically said she was not going to honor the ADVERTISED price... she sounded completely content losing a customer. It isn't even about the extra $10 a month, but the fact that that is TERRIBLE customer service. Also, as of today, the price on their website is $55.99. Terribly inconsistent/false advertising. I will be getting my lashes done by another company that offers reasonable customer service. No wonder the reviews on this location are so terrible. Clearly the poor customer service complaints are not being followed up on at the Katy location. It is so frustrating as a monthly member when you pay for a service and can't get an appointment. I made an appointment using the online app on Monday. and was told today, two days later "sorry, I guess no one checked the email, did you call?". What is the point of an online scheduler? It's worth mentioning that i used the online app last month with no issues because last time I called for days and no one answered. Which is it Amazing lash? Online, call you or stop by? What the heck are we paying a monthly rate for? Oh and by the way, make sure you watch that two week window or else you pay a full set rate. You guys make me want to 'open shop' with independent stylist just to avoid all the BS. read more

Got my lashes done here yesterday. I've never had any sort of extension before. They look amazing! I had transfer as my stylist and she was very gentle and nice. The girls at the counter explained in comparison to their own lashes which helped me pick mine. After I was done they took the initiative to check my lashes to make sure I was happy. While the Stylist was great .. she is leaving today. The phone girl was horrible .. attitude because she couldn't pull up my acct.Instead of writing my phone number down, she asked me my number 6 times . Apparently the Sugar Land number amazing lash where I opened my membership in March phone isn't working or has changed .. She called her boss to complain because she wAnted me to pay the full amount even though I had a membership. I Wasn't aware that all studios aren't affiliated like I was led to believe and waited forever for her to finally find my membership and to be trained on to how to use my 2 months credit for my services .. won't return to this facility ever again read more

Before I begin my rant, let me explain my rating. One star because the technician Sara was great and knew what she was doing, another star because the place looks awesome and professional, a third star because my lashes are beautiful. Now, booking my appointment was a bit more complicated than I feel it had to be. The girl I spoke with seemed a little unsure of what she was doing or saying, but she was polite. My issue is with the immature, idiot of a manager. I asked her if she could reccomend a style look since it was my first time, she seemed overwhelmed with trying to redeem a living social for a client and had the nerve to say, with an attitude, "please discuss any questions with your technician." I asked her if there was anyway I could get any kind of information before my appointment, and she said " please, mam, wait for your technician, I'm busy." Are you effin kidding me?! Who dies this chubby girl think she is?! I was so upset, and yes, I told her she was a bit rude to be working in customer service and she said "OK, whatever." Oh my god! Luckily my technician came out and took back, she was very nice and helped choose a style, natural. The process was long, but relaxing, and worth it! I love my lashes! It's too bad I'm never going back to their Katy location. When I came out, I proceeded to check out. The receptionist asked my if I liked my experience and I said "of course, my lashes look great. If only the receptionist who I spoke with wasn't so rude, it would have been an overall good experience. The manager then turned to me and said "my name is Coreen (?) and I'm the manager not a receptionist." And rolled her eyes! I was done dealing with her, she obviously didn't know how to handle her job title with integrity. Sadly, I will NEVER return to Amazing Lash in Katy because of her. A supervisor or owner really needs to reconsider who they put in charge of that studio. Before I left, another lady, non employee, recommended trying the River Oaks location. read more

The receptionist at the front desk was very rude and not approachable. I did not feel very welcomed when I arrived or when I was getting ready to leave. I spoke to the same receptionist on the phone several days later and did not like the way she was speaking to me. This location has very poor customer service. I've been to this location and the one next to Randall's on Shepherd inside the loop, and this one is far superior aesthetically. Brand new, clean, and spacious. Nie is a true professional and I recommend you ask for her. It's so relaxing that I fall asleep every time! And she works hard to make sure your concerns are addressed. My lashes always look fabulous. Management ("corporate"?) needs to get it together, though, since they can't answer simple questions about how the pre-pay packages work. Other than that, I have enjoyed my experience at Amazing Lash Studio in Katy and I'm so glad it's close to home. read more

I had gone to an ALS location in Austin and the girl did a complete hack job on my lashes. They were clumpy, disoriented, and made my eyes itch so bad because she used so much glue and it clumped. I went to this location in Katy and Elizabeth was able to completely fix my lashes and make them absolutely beautiful. She was super nice and really explained to me what she was doing to fix them. I could tell she had a lot of experience and she didn't rush to get my lashes done. Now they're more natural looking and I don't even feel them itching anymore. I'll definitely be going back to her from now on. read more

to all future and current guests, this place is bs. when they first opened a few years ago, the quality was good. however ever since they have been under new ownership this place has gone to shit. the glue they use now is cheap and your lashes will fall off withtin a couple of days even if you see a master stylist. ni by far is their best lash tech, she does her best with the products shes given. their prices have gone up ridiculously they are always under new managment and the over all service and quality is cheap! you dont get what you pay for here. read more

The receptionist was OK, the lash specialist was polite, the experience was not painful ... however, the lashes look really fake!!!! The specialist recommended the glamour look, if she had asked a little bit about me she would have realized that for a full time working mom that is not the right look. I can see the potential for a fancy party with good eye make up, but for someone who just wants a little extra something, to make the daily getting ready process a bit easier, that look is WAY TOO OVER THE TOP! to quote my husband, "they looked cartoonish". I called today (one day later) to get them removed, they scheduled me for tomorrow, but they plan to charge me 25$ for the removal!!!!! Good costumer service should actually be returning the money I paid for results that I didn't like. I just went to the grocery store and got some eye lash glue remover, with some patience I am getting them off myself, still working on it, but already the lashes look a whole lot better, it was just way too much! read more

I understand now why this location has such issues...management! I originally had my lashes done at another location. They looked wonderful and last about three and half weeks. I have had them done three times at this location the longest they lasted was two weeks. This last time they were coming out like crazy, made it very hard to deal with clients. It's not very attractive to have lashes falling out as your meeting with someone. When I went in to talk to the manager, I was stunned! She insulted my by telling me all the reasons why my thin unhealthy lashes weren't holding their product. When I asked "why would the technician use thick lashes if that was what was best or even do the procedure?" She said "these girls don't know anything, they just do what they are told!" Seriously!! She not only through her employees under the bus but also the locations credibility. When I asked to cancel my contract she made NO effort to save the sale! Hello! Management 101!!! This explains why they loose good technicians, have poor customer relations up front, never are very busy and even some reviews of poor hygiene issues. Such poor customer service won't be tolerated by Katy Ladies! One business owner to another you lost 3,200 dollars of this experience: that was my contract for a year plus the friends who had appointments due to the way my lashes looked a week ago. My daughter got lashes at this location. We went to this location because it was convenient. I didn't know what to expect. When we got there, there were 2 girls behind the counter. They never explained anything just asked what length and style she wanted. I was looking at their products to buy and no one even approached me to ask if I had questions or needed help and they knew this was our first time there. While my daughter was getting her lashes done they were gossiping about clients, and a lady came in and the girl said they didn't have any appointments but would put her on a "list". When the lady left the one girl said to the other "what list?" They both laughed. Also on one of my daughters eyes the lashes looked like they were going the wrong way, and yes she had the eyelash brush to use. I had a friend that used to go here and was unhappy with the service also and went the the Sugarland location and loved it. I decided to get her refills there and will NEVER go back to the Katy location. The employees in Sugarland were very helpfu, friendlyl and informative. Also I tried calling the Katy location numerous times on different days and they NEVER answer their phones. The drive to Sugarland is worth it. read more

TERRIBLE COMPANY! The front desk is very unprofessional and clueless about any policies. The company changed their eyelash glue without notifying me and I had a terrible allergic reaction. When I asked the front desk if they changed their glue, they told me no but the lady doing the lashes notified me that yes they did recently change their glue. When I made an appointment to get the lashes removed they tried to charge me (even though it was very apparent that I was having an awful allergic reaction- swollen, red, watery eyes). Then they tried to argue with me that I could not cancel my membership because I had signed a year contract. I signed paperwork to have the membership cancelled and was told they would give it to their manager to review to see if I would be approved to cancel. I called several times to talk to a manager and never could. I was always told she would call me, and she never did. I finally gave up and the following month I was charged again. I had to call my bank to dispute the transaction and place a block on them. There are a ton of companies doing eyelashes, don't waste your time or money with this one. read more

First let me say Angel is the technician that does my lashes and she is AWESOME! Now with that being said the front desk is just the opposite. I have had a membership for about a year and a half. I had an appointment scheduled for Thursday of this week and because I have some things going on the end of the week decided to get my lashes done a couple of days early. I started calling Monday morning at 9:30AM (got the answering machine and left a message) I called again at 10:30, 11:46, 12.30PM, 2:23 (left another message) and again at 4:34 PM. Hooray someone finally answered the phone. Changed my appointment to today. FYI they have not called me back from any of the messages I left yesterday. AFTER getting my lashes done today they tell me it will be $55.99 versus my normal $45.99 because it's too early to pull my next monthly dues payment so it's considered an out of pocket payment. They were not the least concerned that I was upset. This is not the first bad experience I have had with the customer service at the Grand Lakes location. This is just crazy I don't know who owns this store but someone needs some customer service training. read more

I have had a membership at this salon for a few years now and this last year has been absolutely horrible. They run out of lashes (isn't that the point of an eyelash salon), tape, glue and rolling paper that customers use. Their eyelashes started falling off after a couple of days from a visit and the eyelashes uncurl immediately. A stylist finally told me they aren't using the franchise set supplies but generic eyelashes and glue from a store the owners owns since supplies are cheaper and generic!!! I had went to the ladies room my last visit and there was a note on the door to use the toilet paper sparingly. I also tried to pop in the ladies room (to change) last visit and was told they haven't had a working toilet for a week?! I had it with the salon (stylists are amazing) and called in to cancel my membership.. I was also told that was fine and my membership was cancelled. After being billed, I went into the store to see what was going on and they had no note in my account and no form completed. read more

I went for the 1st time about 2 weeks ago and really liked it. Have been reading reviews and am a little confused as when I called, they picked up immediately and I made my appointment, even received a call a day prior to confirm. I went in, front desk was very friendly. Tech was good I suppose as I have never done this before so have nothing to compare to. For my refill I will try another tech to see. My only complaint, maybe, would be a better explanation on what to do, not to do, what to expect and not to expect. But I say maybe because as a customer it is my responsibility to ask questions as well. It is also my understanding that the shop is under new management. I got to meet her as I was checking out and she was awesome. I even got to witness her address a situation that really wasn't a situation. But she made it one in order to make sure a client was fully satisfied even though the client already was. read more

I got my first set of lashes a week ago. I took really good care of them and on day 4 several lashes fell out of 1 eye. I had significantly less lashes on one eye than the other. I called the studio and they offered me two appointments after 3 pm to come in to get my lashes done for free but I had other plans. I had called that day at 11 AM and said I could do anytime before 3 PM. They could not accommodate me. When I called the next day to speak to someone else they said they had an opening at 2 PM the day before. I told her that they only offered me after 3 PM and that I was available before 3 PM. I'm upset because I could've come in that day and got my lashes for free but they did not accommodate me. They told me I could come back in and be charged 30 something dollars to have a few lashes applied. I will never return there again. Some of the staff there are also very unprofessional. read more

Run as fast as you can away from this establishment. They do not value their customers. I had great experience there for about six months, when I was scheduled with Ni. She has since left, and they took it upon themselves to schedule me with another stylist, without notifying me. I left with bruised and battered eyes, and later realized she applied the lashes directly to my skin, with a ridiculous amount of glue. I am still battling the after effects. As a result, I of course contacted management and asked for cancellation of my contract and a refund. Sent pictures. My request is still being refused, until I can provide them with a drs note and course of treatment. Apparently the customer's word and visual proof via photos isn't enough. I am disgusted with how I have been treated and their total lack of respect. As such, I want to make sure no one else suffers the consequences I have faced. My mom and I have been going to the Katy Grand Lakes location for about 5 months. We have had nothing but issues there. We froze our account for the summer, but they are still taking their money out of our accounts. I called on a Friday at 9:00 and spoke to someone that said she would look in to it and call me back. Well, I had to call them back at 12:00 and at 1:00 and left messages. Still no response. I called back from 4:00-6:00 still no answer plus the voice mail box was full. I called on Saturday morning I continue to ask to speak with a manager, all the incompetent girl said was she will be in at 4:00, I called back at 4:00 not only is the manager not their, but she is not coming in. On Monday morning I called it took me 30 minutes to get in then the girl had the nerve to place me on hold for 10 minutes. I guess they can't check someone in and answer the phones all at the same time. Then all she said was that the manager knows what's going on. I want my money back!!! Not to mention the times where they have messed up my appointments, then wanted me to reschedule to another day when I could not come in. If you need to call this location, prepare to be placed on hold. The costumer service is awful. I've even called to let them know that my eyelashes were falling out after the 3rd day when I first got my eyelashes on, I spoke with the old manager all she said was that's normal, I can have you come back in for a mini session.
