Let me start off by saying people are freaking psychos. I don't know what the heck you expect out of a donut shop (referring to previous reviews). I'm really only writing a review because I don't understand how this place isn't more popular. I went to the parade and they were standing at the corner and got me! Bought 2 donuts. I do not prefer cake donuts but these are by far the best cake donuts I've had... and they werent super fresh either because I didn't get them in the shop. Light great consistency for a cake based donut and it wasn't too sweet. Very soft, moist, and overall tasty. I'm not even a donut person. I really only like donuts from Sugar Shack in Richmond and those mostly aren't cake based. Support local businesses. Buy donuts from here instead of Dunkin or KK. This place is a wonderful little shop with amazing little donuts. They're not at all like Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donuts. You pick what flavor cake, icing, & toppings! I chose the chocolate with vanilla icing with coconut and almonds (Almond joy). For my little one, he just wanted a strawberry icing with sprinkles. We chose a blueberry cake with blueberry icing for daddy. They also has gelato and custard but we haven't had the opportunity to try that yet. The facility is very clean and the young woman who checked us out was kind. I will be using this as an incentive to get my little one to be well behaved at school! read more

We live right down the road and go often. Always quick even when they are busy and donuts are amazing. One of our favorite breakfast places.

The donuts are made to order and they have thousands of combinations you can create. I like the fact that I am able to custom create my own donut. The donut itself is moist and not too heavy. However, the icing and drizzle had no flavor to it. It just tasted like a really sweet plain sugar icing. While I like that the donuts are made to order I waited nearly 15 minutes for my one donut to be ready. The shop is clean and welcoming with a decent amount of indoor seating available. The staff are attentive but some are not too friendly. It seemed as though I was inconveniencing them but trying to decide what donut creation I wanted; it was my first time there. Not one of the workers smiled or even really acknowledged I was there. Although, there was a young man working hard and he was extremely polite and friendly. I am pretty sure my friend and I walked in while or after the owner got done having an argument with one of the workers. The atmosphere was tense and little remarks were made to the younger worker while I was ordering. Based on the workers attitudes I do not think I will go back. You glaze the donuts and then you can fill it and then you can drizzle stuff on it so there is an insane amount of combinations as to what your donut can have! Each day they have 2 different flavors of caked donuts then you create from there. you can make it be like smores or a cookie, you can make it be like a lemon cake! there is blueberry strawberry vanilla chocolate apple pie filling etc. etc. the staff are extremely helpful and very patient with new customers. The doughnuts are made fresh so you will have to wait a few minutes. You have two choices of cake: vanilla and chocolate. Add the toppings of choice and you are good to go. I got the apple filled with a vanilla cake and the Boston cream with chocolate cake. The doughnuts were slightly crispy on the outside and perfect in the middle. The toppings were great but the cream for the Boston cream was a touch off. I got the 2 doughnuts and coffee deal for $3.49. I must say Virginia really knows what's good when it comes to mom and pop shops cause this place was amazing. No pun intended. Came down from New York with a friend and found this little gem and was not disappointed. Their donuts are made fresh and they have different speciality flavor donuts on certain days which is awesome because vanilla donuts can get a little boring at times. They have all the toppings, icings, and drizzles you could imagine and I believe they even make those in house. The store offers a variety of different chocolates and candies that you can bag up yourself and it's super cute and fun for the kids. I wish New York had a cute ass spot like this because who doesn't love a fresh, hot donut? This place will forever be one of my favorite spots just cause of how pure it is and I will come back again with some creative donut creations :) read more

Searching for a good coffee place in Chesapeake other than the usual Starbucks. I avoid sugar as much as possible but wanted to try a donut along with my coffee since I was here anyway. Typically donuts are so overwhelmingly sweet they're disgusting. Not here. My donut was warm and delicious. Yes sweet, but not overly sweet. Just right. They are waaaayyyy better than Duck Donuts yet similar to Duck you can also customize your own Donuts. My white chocolate latte with almond milk was amazing. They have iced coffee, nitro cold brew and all kinds of milk and flavor choices for your speciality drink. Will have to come back for the gelato which I'm told is also customizable.
